The basic squat exercise is a strength exercise that is widely used to strengthen the muscles of the lower body, including the quadriceps, hamstrings and glutes. However, improper technique in performing squats can increase the risk of injury. This article aims to analyze the biomechanics of movements in squat training, with a focus on how correct technique can influence exercise efficiency and injury risk. This study used one subject as a sample to evaluate body posture and joint movement angles during exercise. The measuring instrument used is a goniometer to measure the angles of the knee and hip joints in various squat positions. Research results show that correct squat technique, with appropriate joint angles, not only increases exercise efficiency but also reduces the risk of injury. Conversely, incorrect technique can cause excessive stress on the knee and hip joints. These findings emphasize the importance of correct technique training in squat exercises to achieve maximum benefits and reduce the potential for injury.

Badminton has become one of the most popular sports in Indonesia, with impressive achievements in various international championships that have brought pride to the nation. However, it cannot be denied that political factors also influence the performance of Indonesian badminton athletes. This study aims to analyze the influence of politics on the sporting achievements of badminton in Indonesia. The methodology used is a literature study using several relevant research sources. The research results show that politics has a significant influence on the sporting achievements of badminton in Indonesia. Government policies related to athlete development and funding are crucial factors that determine the progress of this sport. The political role can also create instability in the broadcasting policies of sports on public broadcasting institutions, as well as becoming an obstacle in the development of badminton through corruption practices that affect the allocation of funds.

This study explores the community's interest in utilizing sports facilities at Perumahan Peruri, Karawang. It aims to identify factors influencing the public's motivation to engage in physical activities. A survey method was employed, using structured questionnaires distributed to 20 randomly selected residents. The findings reveal a moderate interest level, with an average score of 71.3, ranging from 63 to 76. Key factors affecting interest include awareness of the importance of exercise, quality and accessibility of facilities, and the availability of leisure time. The results indicate that while community interest is relatively good, it remains suboptimal. To improve participation, strategic measures such as upgrading facility quality, promoting health awareness campaigns, and offering flexible exercise programs are recommended. This research provides a foundation for developing policies to encourage a more active and healthier community.

The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of physical training on the improvement of kicking speed in Taekwondo athletes. A pre-test and post-test design was utilized, wherein athletes were asked to perform physical ability tests based on a training menu created for the study. The results of the post-test were compared to the pre-test results to assess the extent to which the athletes' endurance and agility had improved as a result of the treatment. The data analysis methodology employed in this study included calculating the mean of the pre-test and post-test data, calculating the standard deviation of the difference, and performing a paired t-test. The results demonstrated a significant increase in the mean number of kicks from 6.10 to 8.90, indicating that the treatment enhanced the athletes' performance. The higher standard deviation in the post-test (1.91) compared to the pre-test (0.74) suggests that, although athletes' abilities generally improved, there was greater variation among athletes in terms of the extent of their improvement. The results of the paired t-test demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the mean values of the pre-test and post-test, indicating that the treatment significantly enhanced the athletes' kicking speed. The T-count value recorded was -8.51, which was compared to the T-table value generated using a 15% significance threshold and 2.228 degrees of freedom. The conclusion drawn from this study is that a treatment regimen of two weeks or six meetings can improve the ability to perform the dollyo chagi kick-in Taekwondo athletes.

This research is experimental research to determine whether or not there is an effect of the application of single leg depth jump and half squat jump training on the volleyball smash ability of Jeneponto athletes. The independent variables in this study are single leg depth jump training and half squat jump training, while the dependent variable is the volleyball smash ability of Jeneponto athletes. The number of samples is 26 samples with the experimental group of single leg depth jump training as many as 13 athletes and half squat jump training 13 athletes. The research data were obtained by providing single leg depth jump and half squat jump training in the form of pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique is by t-test analysis. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the t-test, P = 0.000 is obtained, which is smaller than α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the application of single leg depth jump and half squat jump training has a significant effect on the volleyball smash ability of Jeneponto athletes.

This study aims to evaluate the level of knowledge of Singaperbangsa University Karawang students regarding first aid during sports injuries. The method used was quantitative with data collection through questionnaires distributed to active students, both athletes and non-athletes. The results showed that 100% of the 29 respondents had a good understanding of first aid in injury situations. However, there was a significant difference between student-athletes and non-athletes, where student-athletes had a higher level of knowledge (66.7%) compared to non-athletes (44.4%). These findings emphasize the importance of improving the understanding of first aid for all students, especially for those involved in sporting activities, to reduce the risk of more serious injuries. Recommendations are given to conduct training and seminars to improve students' knowledge and skills in providing first aid when injuries occur.

This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical activity and mental well-being among students of the Sports Science Department at Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang (UNSIKA). The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 100 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) to measure physical activity levels and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale (WEMWBS) to assess mental well-being. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.62, p < 0.01) between physical activity and mental well-being. Students with higher physical activity levels demonstrated better mental well-being, characterized by optimism, energy, and the ability to manage stress. Conversely, those with lower physical activity levels reported reduced mental well-being, including symptoms of anxiety and depression. Furthermore, the study highlighted the negative impact of prolonged sitting (over 5 hours daily) on mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of integrating physical activity into daily routines. The study concludes that physical activity plays a vital role in enhancing mental well-being among university students. It recommends increased participation in moderate to vigorous physical activities and reduced sedentary behaviour to improve overall quality of life. Future research should explore additional variables influencing mental well-being to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the topic.

Muscle power is the ability of muscles to perform their strongest contractions at maximum speed. This study aims to determine the effect of Jump Box training on increasing muscle explosiveness in volleyball players of SMAN 21 Makassar. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent pre-test – post-test control group design approach, which was carried out at SMAN 21 Makassar with a population of 28 people who met the inclusion criteria divided into 2 groups with a total sampling technique, namely the experimental group given Jump To Box exercises and the control group without jump to box exercises. This study uses the Vertical Jump Test to measure the increase in muscle explosiveness. The data obtained from the Shapiro-Wilk normality test with a result of p> 0.05, the influence test used was a paired sample t-test with results in both groups, namely p = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means that both experimental and control groups have an effect and can provide significant results on muscle explosive power. Then based on the independent sample t-test, the p-value = 0.005 (p <0.05). Because the p-value = 0.005 <0.05 means that there is a significant difference between the experimental group with Jump To Box training and the control group without Jump To Box training on increasing muscle explosive power. The conclusion of this study is Jump To Box exercise is effective on increasing muscle explosiveness in volleyball players.
