Aims AbdiMuh: Journal of Community Service aims to serve as a platform for publishing community service activities that focus on the application of science, technology, and the arts in community empowerment. This journal supports the dissemination of works that demonstrate real impacts on improving community welfare and self-reliance. Scope The scope of AbdiMuh covers the outcomes of community service activities centered on the application of science, technology, and the arts to improve quality of life. The areas of coverage are broad and include, but are not limited to: Education and community training to enhance human resource capacity. Application and development of appropriate technologies in social and economic life. Economic empowerment based on local potential and community entrepreneurship. Social, health, and environmental activities aimed at improving community welfare. Integration of Islamic values and local wisdom in community service activities. Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMPN 15 Padang dalam pembelajaran Statistika merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Guru SMPN 15 Padang. Ditambah lagi pada masa pandemi ini, pembelajaran di kelas dihapuskan dan siswa berinteraksi dengan guru hanya melalui Handphone, dan juga karena keterbatasan waktu yang ada. Dari permasalahan tersebut, muncullah ide, untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru SMPN 15 Padang, khususnya guru matematika, yaitu pelatihan pembuatan LKPD berbasis masalah. LKPD disini bermanfaat bagi siswa yang belajar di rumah sehingga dapat belajar secara mandiri walaupun tidak didampingi oleh guru di sekolah. Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah agar guru matematika SMPN 15 Padang, dapat mengembangkan LKPD yang sesuai dengan karakteristik siswanya yang berisikan persoalan pemecahan masalah sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui LKPD dalam masa pandemi ini. Hasil dari pelatihan ini, terlihat bahwa guru matematika SMPN 15 Padang lebih termotivasi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar yang kreatif dan inovatif bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews at partner schools, namely SMPN 27 Padang, it can be seen that the learning process carried out by teachers during the COVID-19 Pandemic is a learning process using throught WhatsApp by giving assignments to students. Therefore, the proposer and partners work together in overcoming these problems through the Community Service (PKM) program. This PKM program aims to increase teachers' knowledge about the application of online learning models, so training on the use of the Quizlet Application for Making Mathematics Problems in Geometry Material been given. The method used in achieving these goals is a simulation method and practice using the Quizlet application. The result of this community service is to increase teacher knowledge in using the Quizlet application in the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

The ability to cooperate and politely communicate with other parties is very important in this era of the industrial revolution. On the other hand, students still do not understand the importance of cooperation and politeness for their success in the future. Therefore, this Community Service Activity is caused by two things, namely: a) the low ability of students to cooperate in communicating, and b) the low knowledge of students regarding politeness in communicating with teachers, peers, and younger people. Therefore, this study aims to provide training related to the principles of cooperation and politeness to students in communicating. The method used in this research is the lecture method, question and answer, and group discussion. The results of this study revealed that high school students were very happy to participate in this training because they could know the types of cooperative principles that they could apply in communicating. In addition, they become more understanding about the types of politeness in building communication with teachers, students of the same age, and younger people. The implication of this study emphasizes that the application of the principles of cooperation and courtesy is very appropriate to be taught in schools, both by school principals and teachers to their students.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan lingkungan awal bagi anak yang memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Oleh karenanya, pemahaman tentang parenting sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan keluarga. Pendidikan dengan pola asuh orang tua sangat penting, karena pola asuh orang tua dimulai dari kecil sampai dewasa. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) adalah tentang pentingnya pendidikan dalam keluarga yang merupakan tanggungjawab bersama dari orang tua, masyarakat, sekolah, dan pemerintah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Batu Beriga, Kecamatan Lubuk Besar, Kabupaten Bangka Tengah. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dengan ceramah, diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di Desa Batu Beriga didapati bahwa anak yang mengalami putus sekolah termasuk tinggi, dengan hasil 29 anak. Keluarga yang kurang mampu menjadi faktor utama, ditambah faktor lingkungan yang merubah pemikiran anak untuk lebih memilih bekerja sebagai nelayan atau menambang timah dan faktor untuk menikah di usia dini. Tim bina desa divisi pendidikan dan AIK untuk melaksanakan kegiatan parenting bersama siswa dan orangtua. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama satu hari pada bulan september dan mendapatkan antusias sangat baik dari siswa dan orangtua. Peserta dan pihak sekolah sangat berharap kegiatan serupa dapat dilaksanakan lebih sering agar masyarakat Desa Batu Beriga memiliki motivasi yang baik dalam pola mengasuh anak terutama remaja.

Abstract

Bangka Belitung is one of the archipelagic provinces that has a lot of natural tourism potential. The position of the province which is surrounded by the ocean makes many local people have a hobby of fishing, as evidenced by the many livelihoods and fishing shops that are spread, one of which is on Gelasa Island, Batu Beriga Village. Gelasa Island is one of the small islands located in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands, especially in Central Bangka Regency. This natural potential which is very much but still unexplored is one of the opportunities to be developed into a tourist attraction, such as fishing tourism. This service is focused on Pokdarwis and the Batu Beriga Village Fisherman Group. This activity aims to promote and develop the tourism aspect of fishing tourism activities on Gelasa Island, Batu Beriga Village, to become a mainstay tourist attraction on Bangka Island. The problem-solving methods used include: a) conducting a centralized group discussion (Focus Group Discussion), b) counseling and assistance in the preparation of tour packages, c) making media for socialization and marketing of glass island tour packages. From the implementation of this activity, participants received knowledge and guidance on the management of fishing tourism objects and tourism business management, as well as the formation of several tour packages on Gelasa Island, Batu Beriga Village.
