Abstract

PhET (Physics Education Technology) is a technological product that contains a collection of interactive simulations for science learning. PhET simulations have been proven effective for various levels: high, middle, and elementary school. However, their implementation is tailored for each level. The implementation of PhET simulations for groups of students with varying levels or heterogeneous classes in science outreach is the main topic of this activity. Activity supports the enhancement of STEM literacy, which is an important aspect of life today. The science outreach activity, known as Ogirium: Mathematics and Science for Students, focuses on groups of students from different levels (heterogeneous classes). Community-based research was applied. There are 19 participants from various levels of students. At the end of the activity, students take a concept comprehension test. Subsequently, students receive feedback on the test results, and a questionnaire is given to gather participants' perceptions of the activity. This activity revealed three important findings: 1) science outreach activities are beneficial and can serve as alternative learning and empowerment for the community, 2) PhET is effective for the learning process in heterogeneous classes, and 3) science outreach in heterogeneous classes can create multidirectional cooperation, both among students from various levels and between teachers and students.

Abstract

This PKM activity aims to improve the ability to speak English, motivation, and concentration of participants in English learning. This activity is titled Fun English, which is a fun English learning activity using the method of recitation to deliver English learning materials. This service activity is focused on speaking skills and writing skills specifically on mastery of vocabulary in simple sentences. Participants who followed were special daughters with secondary school education backgrounds (SMP/SMA/SMK). The achievement of the results of this PKM is the increase in the ability of participants in mastering English vocabulary (in the topic or material taught). Participants have been able to say several vocabulary correctly. Participants have understood how to write simple sentences correctly and are able to speak (read dialogue). Finally, the concentration and motivation of participants also increased, this is evident from the results of the eveluation of activities in post-test. Thus, participants also felt happy and did not feel awkward while participating in all Fun English activities at this PKM.

Abstract

Religious moderation is important for the harmony of every community group. So that the creation of tolerance is the goal of the state, especially the Ministry of Religion. IAIN Kerinci is one of the educational institutions that organizes community service activities based on religious moderation. The location where the KKN is implemented is in Pesisir Selatan Regency, to be precise in 4 different sub-districts. The methods used are Social Reflection, Participation Planning, Action, and Evaluation. Social Reflection by observing both directly and indirectly the condition of the village that will be occupied. Participation Planning by knowing the problems that are occurring and looking for alternatives that are in accordance with the implementation of the KKN program. Action by carrying out KKN activities based on plans that have been prepared. Evaluation by asking for suggestions and distributing questionnaires to various parties involved in implementing KKN. The evaluation results of the implementation of KKN from both Field Supervisors, Village Trustees, Students and the Community were mostly very effective.

Abstract

Based on the results of research the author found that people's strategiesparents in improving children's memorization is by always respecting memorization children and provide motivation to children and control children and memorize it, give appreciation and gifts to the child, include the child in Tahfizd house for studying and memorizing the Koran and supporting factors parents in improving children's memorization, namely the parents themselves, their willand strong determination from the child, the right method, a conducive environment,supporting facilities, guidance from tahfizd teachers.

Abstract

SDGs is a global action plan for the next 15 years, to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect the environment. This activity uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. A case study is a model that focuses on exploration or a particular case that is reviewed in detail and in depth in the form of how and why questions. This activity aims to demonstrate the work program that will be implemented during the KKN period in Nagari Tanah Bakali Inderapura. The researcher entered population data starting from family questionnaires and individual questionnaires into the Village SDGS website assisted by members of the Religious Moderation KKN in Tanah Bakali Inderapura

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the challenges faced in the student management system in educational institutions in Nagari Riak Dananu Tapan as well as to design and implement improvement strategies to increase the effectiveness of the system. The research method used is a qualitative approach through special studies. Data was collected through observations, interviews and document analysis. The results of the research show that schools in Nagari Riak Danau Tapan experience several obstacles including a lack of integrity between various system modules, a lack of integration between various system modules, a lack of active involvement from stakeholders and the need for increased training for staff.

Abstract

Libraries have a strategic role in building schools, in the era of digitalization it is not only a necessity but a demand for using good library digitization in order to increase competitiveness and increase the excellence of schools, for research purposes, to help SD 07 Padang Leban Elementary School, Tebing Tinggi Village, Ranah Ampek District Hulu Tapan, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This training activity was carried out on July 21-July 23. Which is carried out in 3 stages: 1. Cycle I Stage, namely the Preparation Stage.2. Cycle II stages, namely the Implementation Stages. The final stage, namely the results stage of this research. Data collection methods used in implementing community service programs regarding school library management training regarding the important role of libraries for schools and students. This is in the form of socialization and assistance to schools.

Abstract

Data management is a very important thing to do especially in the era of digitization because archived data are important files that are very useful in an institution. The management of archives is a source of information concerning an activity that explains the rights and obligations that must be managed in an institution. This research activity aims to improve the management of archives in Nagari Bukit Buai Tapan Kab. The South Coast of West Sumatra by planning the work program and evaluating the work program. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a Case study approach. The results of the study were obtained that during 48 days the implementation of the work program was carried out very well and gained appreciation from the community in Nagari Bukit Buai Tapan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out thematic real work lectures (KKN) based on religious moderation for students of the State Islamic Religious Institute (IAIN) in detail "implementation of time management for elementary school students". The objects of this research are Islamic boarding schools and Al-Quran educational parks in the village of Tebing Tinggi, Tapan, Alam Ampek Hulu Tapan sub-district, South Coast district. Based on what we have done, the results show that students are able to make a daily schedule for activities properly and correctly so that students can apply it in their daily life. This research method is descriptive qualitative, which is a field study that reveals, finds and explores various information about the implementation of time management in elementary school students. Writers must also understand and interpret the data and present it in the form of stories and narratives. The data sources used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by students of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kerinci in South Pesisir Regency, West Sumatra, aims to apply academic knowledge in addressing various social, economic, and educational challenges faced by the local community. Through collaboration between the university, local government, and the community, this program is designed to provide benefits and improve the quality of life for the community. Evaluations from various parties, including Field Supervising Lecturers (DPL), Village Heads, students, and the community, indicate a high level of satisfaction with the effectiveness of this program. DPLs highlight the program's success in providing a strong structure and apparatus support, contributing to capacity building for the community and students. Village Heads appreciate the integration and strong support from local leaders, while students show valuable learning experiences that support their growth. Evaluations from the community indicate the KKN program's direct positive impact on their welfare. The results of the evaluations affirm that the KKN program in South Pesisir Regency has successfully achieved its community service objectives, reflecting the successful implementation of participatory collaboration between the university, local government, and the community in inclusive and sustainable development. This program highlights the importance of community service as an integral part of higher education's tri dharma and demonstrates the added value of a collaborative approach in solving community problems.
