Abstract

Sektor usaha kecil menengah mengalami kemajuan yang sangat pesat. Kemajuan tersebut dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi dan semakin meningkatnya kesadaran pendidikan dan ilmu pengetahuan. Perkembangan ekonomi, terutama dalam usaha berbasis rumah tangga, menyebabkan jumlah UMKM meningkat setiap tahunnya. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu dan mendorong progresi pemasaran produk UMKM di Kabupaten Kerinci. Lokasi pengabdian ini yaitu di Desa Sungai Jambu Kecamatan Kayu Aro Barat. Adapun objek pengabdian ini yaitu UMKM Jamu 2R. Hasil dari pengabdian ini yaitu desain kemasan jamu yang menarik dan juga penerapan strategi pemasaran yang berbasis digital melalui Instagram, Facebook, dan Tiktok.

Abstract

Every human being is ordered to work and strive in order to obtain a decent life. One effort that can be made is through economic activities. Economic activities themselves should be carried out by adhering to certain principles in order to achieve prosperity in life. Therefore, Islam as a perfect religion does not only pay attention to and teaches its followers to worship in totality, both vertically in relation to Allah, and horizontally to fellow humans. Humans are obliged to seek sustenance in a halal way. This service was carried out with the aim of introducing the Islamic economic system to the people of Nagari Tluk Kualo, Inderapura District. It is hoped that the results of this socialization will increase the understanding of the people of Nagari Tluk Kualo about Islamic economics.

Abstract

Indonesian handicraft products always give a nuance to a variety of beauty. Various materials used also affect the result of a craft product. Starting from recycled materials, materials made from nature, or materials that are relatively inexpensive to expensive, materials can be utilized as the basic ingredients of handicrafts. Crafts are creative activities related to creating, producing, and distributing products made by craftsmen, starting from the initial design until the product completion process. The craft includes goods made from natural fibers, leather, rattan, wood, glass, fabric, marble, clay, lime, and metal. Processing palm fiber into a plate Party in the village Adipura Kencana Kec. Bahar Selatan Kab. Muaro Jambi can add insight and experience to their work by exploiting palm oil sticks as raw material for making handicraft products using the ATBM weaving technique, and it is expected to spur more maximal work again for the creation of perfection of a work of crafts.

Abstract

In today's modern world and the high level of competition, everyone is expected not only to have a high level of education but also to require special skills or what we usually call "skills." One of the "skills" currently needed is English language skills. The role of English is necessary both in mastering communication technology and interacting directly. As a means of global communication, English must be mastered actively, both spoken and written. This teaching activity focuses on increasing interest in learning English among children and teenagers in Nagari Lalang Panjang. The goal is to increase interest in learning and improve English language skills (soft skills). Some of the methods PKM students use are question and answer and discussion methods to identify knowledge and supporting technology. The lecture method is used during learning and theoretical understanding of English. The results achieved are: 1. They understand the importance of learning English as children. 2. Children will become familiar with English. 3. many children and teenagers are not interested in the importance of learning English.

Abstract

The purpose of community service entitled Improvement in English through Storytelling at TPQ Al Kautsar Tluk Kualo is to provide storytelling training to increase understanding of English at TPQ Al Kautsar Tluk Kualo students. The problem students face in understanding English is that students have never received storytelling material religion taught at TPQ Al Kautsar Tluk Kualo. The step taken in this community service is to conduct a series of storytelling training activities for students to provide training to TPQ Al Kautsar students. The results of community service conclude that there is an increase in understanding of English in TPQ Al Kautsar students. Indications of improvement in the understanding of English in TPQ Al Kautsar Tluk Kualo, 10 students, can be seen based on observations made by the community service team.

Abstract

English learning is applied in schools to develop students' knowledge, language skills, and positive attitudes towards English. The skills in learning English that should be mastered are: a) listening, b) speaking, c) reading, and d) writing. The four types of skills have different levels of knowledge, so they can be taught in different ways. To master these four skills, students must first master the language component, also known as language-focused learning, which consists of vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. The problems experienced by students of SMA Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh in learning English include (1) Students' understanding of English language material is still lacking, (2) lack of guidance on the essential components of learning English, (3) still lack practical activities in learning English and (4) decreasing students' interest in learning English. The methods implemented are the lecture method, cooperative learning, student-centered learning, and interaction methods. The results of community service show that the students of SMA Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh get an increase in knowledge, which can be seen from the results of the pre-test in the poor category and the post-test results in the medium category. From these results, the Community Service team concluded that language-focused learning-based English assistance increased students' interest in learning English. They already have a basic knowledge of English based on language-focused learning to improve the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This community service activity is expected to provide broad insight for students and the school, especially in learning English.

Abstract

The tutoring program exists to provide English tutoring for children at Elementary Scholl Number 02 Nagari Pulaurajo, Airpura District, as a strategy to improve English communication quality. The aim of English tutoring is for children to have an introduction to primary English material and to be able to pronounce essential words and sentences in English that are related to everyday life. The method for implementing Community Service regarding English language tutoring for children at Elementary Scholl Number 02 Nagari Pulaurajo, Airpura District, is the socialization, training, and guidance methods. The results of the service activities show that the children are thrilled and interested in the English language tutoring program. The children had difficulty pronouncing English words at the beginning of the English tutoring meeting. After the third meeting, the children started to pronounce words correctly, even though some participants still pronounced them wrong. Guidance methods used to guide and train children are playing, singing, spelling, pronouncing, and role playing. The learning results of children at Elementary Scholl Number 02 Nagari Pulaurajo, Airpura District, before tutoring showed that only 1 elementary school child who took the test passed while 19 children did not. The overall average score is 57. This indicates that children need to take English language tutoring. The results of the test carried out after the English language tutoring was carried out showed that the children of Elementary Scholl Number 02 Nagari Pulaurajo, Airpura District, who took the test all passed the test.

Abstract

English is a language that has been used in most countries in the world, in Indonesia itself English acts as a foreign language which has been studied since elementary school (SD), but unfortunately not all elementary school students get the same opportunity to learn it, infrastructure and the lack of teaching staff is one of the factors that causes this to happen. Based on the facts encountered by the author in Tluk Amplu Inderapura village, elementary school (SD) students from grade 1 to grade 6 have never studied English specifically at their school, this is very inversely proportional to elementary schools in general who have started and introduce simple vocabulary to their students as an introduction to English. Therefore, the writer feels the need to introduce English to elementary school students in this village by holding free tutoring. The purpose of this activity is to introduce English vocabulary to elementary school students in Tluk Amplu Inderapura village in a fun and enjoyable way and free of charge. The author uses songs as a method to introduce alphabets, numbers and various simple vocabulary to make it easier for students to understand and make the learning process more enjoyable. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in English has increased, as evidenced by the large number of students who come to study. In general it can be said that this research went quite well and found good results, the students there began to master a few English words and had an interest in learning English independently without any coercion from other parties.

Abstract

English is one of the compulsory subjects that must be taught by every school at all levels, from primary school to university. But sometimes, students find it difficult to understand the material given by the teacher. In addition, the provision of monotonous material may feel boring for students, causing a lack of motivation to learn English. In addition, for elementary students, learning should use teaching methods that involve students. To overcome these problems, Fun English Learning is structured as one of the recommended programs so that teachers can increase the motivation and awareness of elementary students in learning English. Through fun learning methods such as the use of games in learning, students can more quickly absorb material and increase their interest. In addition, students do not get bored when learning English. On the contrary, students feel happy and excited when doing learning activities.The main objective of this program is to provide fun and engaging English language instruction for children so that they can learn with high enthusiasm and enthusiasm. In addition, this program also aims to open their horizons to the culture and diversity of the English language, which will be an important capital in facing future challenges.

Abstract

Effective learning management requires various types of learning media. Learning media can accelerate students’ learning creativity and enable students to comprehend the concepts and content of the learning materials. Learning media are media in the teaching and learning process used to deliver material effectively from the teacher to the students. This research aims to examine creative crafting in early childhood. This research found that creative crafting media are very effective in improving children’s English competence. Creative crafting media develops children’s creativity, which could improve their motivation to learn and result in good learning outcomes. Thus, creative crafting media is a valuable learning medium to stimulate and support early childhood to improve their English competence and creativity.
