Abstract

Discus throw is one of the throwing numbers in athletics besides javelin throw and shot put. In this number, especially the discus throw, there have been many amateur class events held both at the elementary school level. This is in line with the psychomotor aspects of students have not been maximized due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure and the lack of creativity of educators in delivering material at the institution. The purpose of this research with the modification of water pipes can improve the movement of discus throwing number playing skills which can later be implemented to students. So that with these modifications, the teaching and learning process is not relatively monotonous, and the learning process can run as it should. In this study, researchers used a classroom action research method with sample data of class VII students consisting of 22 members. While the instruments in this study used total sampling techniques where observation data collection and motion tests of discus throwing skills. From the results of these observations and research, results were obtained with data on the lack of cognitive and psychomotor aspects of students during the pre-cycle process before the implementation of treatment. However, as much as (54.53%) there was an increase in the provision of water pipe modification treatment in cycle I. And there was a significant increase in cycle II with a percentage (86.38%). So that the results of the study can be concluded that using water pipe modifications is very useful for trainers, especially educators in providing discus throw practice or learning in amateur classes or students

Data collection was carried out by providing reading comprehension ability test instruments that had been validated by experts and reliability tests on deaf students. The research data analysis technique was processed using nonparametric statistics, tested with the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study prove that the Know-Want-Learned strategy is effective in increasing the reading comprehension skills of deaf students in class VI at SLB – X Bandung City. This effectiveness is evidenced by an increase in reading comprehension skills for class VI deaf students. With indicators of reading comprehension including the ability to understand words or sentences in the text, the ability to relate knowledge and experience in the text and the ability to understand the content in the text.

Abstract

The teacher's pedagogic competence is a very important aspect of learning in schools because the teacher is the person who is responsible for preparing and implementing learning for students. Therefore, this research is very important to do, especially to evaluate whether elementary school teachers have sufficient pedagogical competence. This study aims to analyze the pedagogic competence of teachers in elementary schools using the developed assessment instrument. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive method, involving 50 teachers from elementary schools in certain areas. The instrument for assessing teacher pedagogic competence used in this study includes four aspects, namely lesson planning, learning implementation, learning evaluation, and professional development. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study show that the majority of teachers in elementary schools have good pedagogical competence. However, several aspects still need to be improved, especially in planning lessons that are more structured and systematic and the ability to provide effective feedback on student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is suggested that teachers develop themselves through training and professional development to improve their pedagogic competence.

Abstract

Abstract The background of this research was the discovery of a class VII mild mental retardation child at SLB Perwari Padang who had difficulty learning arithmetic subtraction operations. Based on this, a formulation of the research problem was put forward, namely "Can abacus media improve the ability of subtraction arithmetic operations for class VII mild mentally retarded children at SLB Perwari Padang?". The purpose of this study was to examine the use of abacus media on the abilities of mild mentally retarded children and to improve the ability of subtraction operations for mildly mentally retarded children. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a single subject research (SSR) approach. This study used an ABA design consisting of three conditions, namely baseline (A1), intervention, and baseline (A2). Data in this study were collected through testing and documentation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed through analysis techniques within conditions and analysis between conditions. The results showed that the subtraction arithmetic operations of the subjects in the baseline condition (A1) obtained percentages of 40%, 50%, 50%, 50%. In the intervention condition (B) the subject's abilities obtained percentages of 70%, 80%, 80%, 90%, 90%, 90%, 90%. As well as the subtraction arithmetic operation ability of the subject in baseline conditions (A2) obtained percentages of 90%, 90%, 90%, 90%. It concluded that abacus media can improve the ability of subtraction arithmetic operations for children with mild mental retardation. Keywords: Subtraction Count Operations, Abacus Media, Mild Mental Disability.
