Abstract

Financial statements provide a comprehensive overview of an entity's performance over a specific period. The accurate and proper presentation of these statements, in accordance with established accounting standards, is crucial for enabling decision-makers to make informed and effective decisions. However, instances of fraud in financial reporting by top management and accountants continue to be observed. This webinar aims to shed light on common patterns of fraudulent financial statements within organizations, addressing perspectives from both academic and practitioner viewpoints. Strong corporate governance plays a vital role in establishing adequate control systems that help minimize the risk of fraudulent financial reporting. Additionally, segregating duties and authorities is essential in reducing the risk of financial misstatements. Fraud detection can be effectively conducted through financial ratio analysis, both vertical and horizontal, as well as forensic and digital data analysis techniques

Abstract

Corn cob waste poses a potential environmental problem and is an underutilized resource. Converting corn cobs into biogas offers a dual solution: managing waste while providing a renewable energy source for farmers. This study was aimed to assess the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and expectations of corn farmers regarding the processing of corn cob waste into biogas. The research was conducted in Desa Maholida, Sttu Jehe, Pakpak Bharat, using a descriptive survey method. A total of 40 corn farmers taken from several farmer groups in the village were selected as respondents. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire with a Likert scale comprising 5 items each to measure these four aspects (knowledge, attitudes, skills, expectations). Study findings indicated that farmers' knowledge, attitudes, and skills respectively showed low percentages, namely 27%, 35%, and 22%. These low levels constituted a significant barrier to the effective adoption and sustainability of the biogas program. On the other hand, all respondents (100%) expressed high optimism that the biogas program could improve their quality of life. This study reveals challenges in adopting corncob biogas technology, the gap between farmers' aspirations and implementation capacity. It recommends targeted socialization and training to enhance biogas adoption, environmental sustainability, farmers' welfare.

Abstract

Nursing care documentation is an important part of quality nursing services. However, the quality of documentation in various health facilities, including RSUD Poso, is still low. This study analyses the relationship between work discipline, leadership, and rewards with nurses' performance in documenting nursing care in the inpatient ward of RSUD Poso. Using a cross sectional analytic design, data were obtained through questionnaires from 62 nurses and analysed with chi-square test and prevalence ratio using SPSS 25. Results showed 77.4% of nurses had good documentation performance. There was a significant relationship between leadership (p=0.006; PR=5.400), appreciation (p=0.000; PR=26.000), and work discipline (p=0.010; PR=4.846) with nurse performance. Nurses who receive effective leadership, appropriate rewards, and have high work discipline tend to have better documentation performance. The study recommends that hospital management strengthen participative leadership, provide appropriate rewards, and foster a culture of discipline to improve documentation quality and patient safety.

Abstract

Anemia is a common hematological condition characterized by decreased hemoglobin levels or red blood cell counts, which affects the blood's capacity to transport oxygen throughout the body. In the elderly, anemia has a significant impact on health, such as decreased physical function, increased risk of falls, cognitive impairment, and increased health care costs. The global prevalence of anemia in the elderly is quite high, ranging from 5–10% at the age of 65–70 years and increasing to 15–25% at the age of over 80 years. The Community Service Program (PKM) at Panti Werdha Hana aims to increase awareness of the elderly regarding the importance of early detection of anemia. This activity uses the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) method, where hemoglobin and hematocrit levels are measured, and educational materials are provided regarding anemia and its risk factors. Respondents who have hemoglobin levels below normal are advised to seek further medical consultation. The results showed that 34 people (44.74%) had anemia and 42 people (55.26%) had normal hemoglobin levels. Early detection of anemia through hemoglobin and hematocrit examination is an important step in reducing the risk of more severe complications, so that it can improve the quality of life of the elderly.. Abstract

Vitamin D deficiency is a condition that often goes unnoticed but has widespread health implications, particularly among the adult population. Through this community service activity, vitamin D levels were screened in 49 adult participants in the Danau Sunter area using serum 25(OH)D testing, accompanied by education on the importance of vitamin D, its natural sources, and strategies for preventing deficiency. The results showed variation in vitamin D levels among participants, with a mean of 59.13 ng/mL and a range of 26.6–91.8 ng/mL. A total of 3 participants (6.12%) were found to have vitamin D deficiency. Several individuals were identified as being in the deficiency category, requiring further intervention. The educational component played an important role in increasing participants’ awareness and understanding of the role of vitamin D in preventing musculoskeletal and metabolic complications. Abstract

This community service program was carried out to improve parenting literacy in the prevention of stunting in Buntu Batu Subdistrict, Enrekang Regency, through a participatory, community-based approach. Referring to the theories of child development ecology, community empowerment, and health literacy, the activities included dialogical education, focus group discussions, door-to-door counseling, and the distribution of locally adapted educational leaflets. The “3T” model (Regular, Monitored, Involved) was developed as a household-based educational innovation to enhance collective awareness and behavioral change in families. Pre-test and post-test results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the definition, causes, and long-term impacts of stunting, as well as preventive strategies. This program demonstrates that contextual and relational educational approaches can effectively overcome socio-cultural barriers and reach vulnerable groups excluded from formal forums. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening local educational hubs such as Posyandu and PKK as agents of change. The implications of this initiative suggest that integrating local cultural approaches with community participation can build a healthy, sustainable, and community-rooted parenting ecosystem.
