Abstract

This Community Service Program was motivated by the urgent need for inner peace and spiritual reinforcement among healthcare workers operating under the high-pressure demands of modern medical settings. Through the theme “The Prince of Peace Is Born Amidst Restlessness,” this program explored the theological message of Luke 2:1–20 to reflect on the presence of Christ’s peace in the midst of worldly chaos. The primary objective of the activity was to provide a spiritually restorative understanding that inspires renewed commitment to compassionate and meaningful service. The program was conducted in the form of a spiritual lecture and guided personal reflection, involving healthcare professionals of various disciplines at UKRIDA Hospital. The results indicated strong positive responses from participants who found the message of Christmas to be deeply relevant to their professional context. Participants expressed new spiritual awareness and initial commitments to embody peace in their workplace interactions. The evaluation highlighted both the impact and the need for regular spiritual formation programs integrated into the hospital's work culture. This initiative underscores the importance of integrating professionalism with Christian spirituality to cultivate a healthier and more meaningful work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of population, unemployment rate, and education level on poverty levels in eastern Indonesia in 2019–2023. This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive approach using secondary data obtained from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency and other reliable sources. The analysis method used is the panel data regression analysis technique. The results of the study indicate that partially the variables of population, unemployment rate, and education level have a significant effect on poverty levels. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a significant effect on poverty levels in eastern Indonesia. These findings indicate that increasing education and decreasing unemployment rates can be effective strategies in reducing poverty. This study is expected to be a reference for local governments in formulating more targeted and sustainable socio-economic development policies.

Abstract

Rosella is known to have many health benefits, such as boosting the immune system and regulating blood pressure. Based on a situation analysis, the lack of knowledge among students regarding the rosella plant is due to the absence of rosella plants in the school area. Additionally, there has never been a workshop at SDN Tlogosari Wetan 02 Semarang related to educating students about the use of rosella flower petals as a health tea by any party. The community service activity began with an introduction to the rosella plant to the students, followed by education on the use of herbal plants that contain antioxidants, in this case, the rosella flower. After that, the activity continued with training that involved the students in the process of making rosella tea. The results of this activity showed an increase in the students' knowledge about the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the students' skills in utilizing natural materials (rosella flower petals) to make health tea.

Abstract

Fish has a taste that is less desirable but can be processed into various types of fish preparations that people prefer. To increase public interest in consuming fish and improve the community's economy, community service activities are carried out through training in processing fish caught by fishermen or fish cultivated by local communities. The method used in this activity was training with participatory learning techniques and mentoring. During the activity, participants could understand the importance of creating new innovations in managing food so that they can have the skills to process their own fish. The fishcake processing process that has been carried out showed satisfactory results both in terms of quality and production efficiency. Proper fishcake management can produce high quality products that meet food safety standards and have high appeal in the market. It is hoped that fishcake processing can become a more productive, quality and sustainable business, as well as providing significant economic benefits for the local community.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a social assistance program of the Ministry of Social Affairs which aims to improve the welfare of the poor through cash assistance and social assistance. This program is used to improve access to education, health, and social welfare, therefore assistance is provided for school children, toddlers, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with disabilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a natural approach. The study was conducted in Taman District, Pemalang Regency with research subjects including PKH Coordinators, PKH Companions, and PKH KPM members. Data collection in this study was conducted by interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study show that PKH companions play an important role as facilitators, educators, representatives and technicians in supporting Beneficiary Families (KPM). The facilitative role includes motivation and support for KPM in fulfilling their obligations. As a companion educator, he is able to socialize PKH policies well and provide skills training to KPM. In the role of the companion representative, he always voices the needs of the KPM to the relevant parties, while in the technical role, the companion is able to handle the administration of assistance, data updates and monthly reporting of the companion well. The supporting factors in the success of the assistance are from the government and stakeholders. However, the obstacles faced by the facilitators are the low participation of KPM in carrying out P2K2 activities and the dishonesty of some KPM who should not be eligible to receive assistance.

Abstract

In a family, Islamic financial planning is a strategic step in realizing economic welfare for the community and the ummah. Islamic financial planning helps a community in a family to design a better life by providing solutions to economic problems through planning, managing and distributing wealth wisely to achieve short-term, medium-term and long-term goals, for the welfare of the hereafter. Muhammadiyah, participates in efforts to realize the welfare of society through the concept of sakinah families that promote Islamic values in building families as a strong foundation for building a prosperous society. As an organization with a global da'wah vision, Muhammadiyah internationalized its movement through the establishment of the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM) Malaysia in 2007, based in Kampung Baru. Through PCIM Malaysia, Muhammadiyah continues to make breakthroughs in the da'wah movement by establishing various charities to strengthen and develop the community's economic sector, as well as empowering the community through studies, entrepreneurship training and family financial management. With a vision that is in line with the concept of a sakinah family, the proposer together with PCIM Malaysia endeavored to organize community service through Sharia Financial Planning Training activities for Muslim Families of Kampung Baru Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The solution steps that the proposer will take are (1) providing education to the Muslim community of Kampung Baru to foster high awareness of the importance of financial planning management in a family, (2) building awareness of the urgency of sharia-compliant planning management in carrying out financial management, (3) providing an in-depth understanding of the Fiqh Muamalah review related to the basic concepts of wealth and planning in carrying out wealth management, (4) increasing awareness of a frugal and productive lifestyle based on Islamic values, and (5) assistance and training in accessing Islamic financial products instruments and services to fulfill family financial needs.

Abstract

Kerta Buana Village Office in Kutai Kartanegara Regency faces several challenges in disseminating information and administrative services and public complaint systems. Currently, administrative services and complaint processes are still carried out conventionally, where the public must come directly and wait for officers to execute the service. In addition, the limited number of experts in supporting IT devices causes the service process to remain traditional. Therefore, Kerta Buana Village Office requires a system that can provide information and administrative services digitally to the public. The proposed system is Public E-Service which includes an information portal, online administrative services, and website-based public complaints. The implementation of the Public E-Services system is expected to optimize employee performance, improve service quality, and increase public satisfaction with public services in the village government. The main objective of implementing this system is so that Kerta Buana Village can provide better public services and make it easier for the public. The implementation method uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach which consists of five stages: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance. The planning stage focuses on priority problems and planned solutions, while the analysis stage is carried out in the first two months to collect information related to the problem. The system design was carried out for three months, and the implementation, which took five months, included the creation of the Public E-Services website as well as training and socialization for users. The maintenance phase included monitoring and evaluation with student support to ensure optimal system sustainability.

Abstract

The increasing number of fraud cases that harm the community is a serious concern. Fraudsters commit crimes with various modes of operation, such as Bodong Investment, giveaways, auctions, online fraud, and job vacancy fraud. The community not only experiences material losses in the form of losing a large amount of money, or losing invested capital, but also experiences psychological losses, and reputation. This community service activity initiates proactive efforts to overcome this problem by reorienting the role of citizens as the front line in preventing crime. By involving the academic community of the Faculty of Law, UPN Veteran Jakarta, this activity seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of various fraud modes of operation, as well as effective prevention strategies. In addition, this activity also aims to strengthen the sense of ownership and responsibility of citizens towards their environment, as a real manifestation of the spirit of defending the country.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the national economy that continues to show significant growth, especially among the younger generation. The high entrepreneurial spirit encourages many generations to start businesses with creative ideas that are relevant to the times. However, behind the growth of MSMEs, there are still many challenges that must be faced by business actors. One of the main challenges is the lack of ability to manage and analyze data systematically. This community service activity aims to improve the digital literacy and data analysis skills of MSME players, especially the younger generation who are starting a business by utilizing SPSS as an analysis tool. Through practice-based training conducted online through Zoom Meeting involving 40 participants from the younger generation who are starting a business on February 15, 2025. The results of this service showed that participants not only gained a theoretical understanding of the importance of data analysis in making business decisions, but also basic technical skills in operating SPSS. This shows that digital practice-based training has a significant impact in improving their readiness to apply SPSS in managing their business and the competitiveness of MSMEs. Thus, this activity is not only an educational event, but also triggers awareness of the importance of a data-driven approach in dealing with market dynamics.

Abstract

Early childhood sex education is still a sensitive issue and is often avoided in educational practices in PAUD institutions, even though instilling the right understanding from an early age is very important to form children's awareness of their bodies, personal boundaries, and self-protection. This Community Partnership Program aims to improve the competence of PAUD teachers in understanding, designing, and delivering sex education that is appropriate to the stages of child development. Activities are carried out through training, workshops, and mentoring involving 110 teachers from 40 ABA se Kota Medan. The material presented includes basic concepts of children's sex education, communication strategies, and the role of teachers in preventing sexual violence. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in teacher understanding, as indicated by an increase in scores from pre-test to post-test. In addition, teachers also showed changes in attitude and readiness to integrate this material into daily learning activities. This program proves that partnership-based interventions between universities and the community are able to answer real needs in the field and support preventive child protection efforts from an early age.
