Abstract

Abstract Rapid development of information technology offers computer as an interesting teaching tool. This study of investigated the effectiveness of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) as a teaching media of “Struktur dan Konstruksi Bangunan Gedung 1” in School of Architecture at UAJY. Case based pre-test and post-test are the research instruments. They are used to measure the improvement of student’s competence in applying structural principles with the structural design of a one story building in respect to the using of CAD as a teaching media. Both thesis were conducted four times, each before and after presentation of the subject matter using CAD.T test shows significant improvement of student’s learning achievement due to the use of CAD as a teaching media. Some facilities in CAD could help students to understand the position and the relation of structural elements by presenting them in 2 dimensions and 3 dimensions simultaneously in district colors, which are not available in conventional media. Abstract

Abstract This purpose of this action research is to improve the professiona ability of the graduates of the Tourism Group of Vocational Secondary Schools. Actions are conducted through the activity in the culinary production unit of a vocational ssecondary school. The research was carried out in one cycle consisted of reconnaissance, planning, and combination of observation and reflection. The subjects of this research are 32 students who are majoring in Culinary at the Vocational Secondary School (SMK)No 6 of Yogyakarta. The treatment is of the form of orders for menu of the same level of difficulties given to each student. Variables observed are working capability, working skill, responsibility, working speed, working tidiness, and personal appearance. Data were collected by observation and analyzed by descriptive method. The result shows that the actions improve most of the students’ abilities. It indicates that culinary course in the form of assignment requiring individual responsibility of each studentis more effective than that in the form of group assignment. It can be concluded that culinary practices by individual student increase the student’s ability more intensively than group practices. Keywords: action research, culinary production unit.

Abstract

EVALUASI PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK DI SEKOLAH DASARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan pelaksanaan program pembelajaran tematik ditinjau dari komponen contexts, input, process, dan product (CIPP). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan studi ex-post facto.Sampel penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa kelas III pada Gugus Pakualaman I di Kota Yogyakarta. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan angket, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Data kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, pemahaman kepala sekolah terhadap visi dan tujuan pembelajaran tematik sudah sesuai dengan karakteristik dan hakikat pembelajaran tematik yang tertuang dalam dokumen Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan. Kedua, hasil evaluasi input menunjukkan 90% guru sudah memenuhi kualifikasi S1. Kompetensi pedagogik dan kepribadian mendapat nilai rerata baik, kompetensi profesional dan sosial mendapat nilai rerata cukup. Sarana dan prasarana penunjang pembelajaran secara kuantitatif belum memenuhi standar, dan secara kualitatif penggunaannya belum maksimal. Ketiga, hasil evaluasi komponen proses berada pada kriteria cukup. Keempat, produk belajar siswa mendapat penilaian rerata cukup.Kata kunci: evaluasi, pembelajaran tematik, sekolah dasarAbstractThis study was aimed at describing the effectiveness of thematic learning programs in terms of context, input, process, and product components (CIPP). The study used an ex-post facto research design. The subjects of the study were the principal, teacher, and third-grade students of Pakualaman IElementary School, Yogyakarta. The data were collected using questionnaires, observation sheets, interview guides, and documentary studies. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that first, the school principal's understanding of the visions and objectives of thematic learning is in accordance with the characteristics and the nature of thematic learning contained in the KTSP document. Second, the results of the input evaluation show that 90% of the teachers have met the S1 qualification. Pedagogic and personality competency scores are rated as good, while professional and social competences are rated as fairly. The quantity of the learning facilities and infrastructure as learning aids have not met the standards. Learning aids have not been maximally used. Third, the evaluation results of the process are in the sufficient criteria. Fourth, the students’ learning products are average in rating.Keywords: evaluation, thematic learning, primary school

Abstract

The average length of srudy of he students of the Dept. of Special Education of the academic year 197/lW used to be 6.12 years and none of the students gradwted with a predicue  cum laude. Research on study obstacles has not yet  "Student  been carried out. Research on Final Task Evalution of the Dept. Of Special Edtrcation of FIP IKIP in 1997' las been geared  ability of the sudentgs of tlat Dept. To do their  toward idewifying obow the finnl ns.ra (thcsis or non-thesis). Based on he results of tlw above mentiorwd research the objective has been to accelerate and to amcliorate the sady, and to improve thc quality  of thertnd task of the srudenu. Thc research appruch is contmt anatysis. Reseorch daa have been obnined  the reports on the  final  task (thesis  and non+hesis of thc academic year 195/j,9% and 195/199V. The dau vatidity of this research is the  justification  of the synchronization of the Ebel formuta.  White the data anatysis is based on the urivariant anatysis. To descibe the ability and the inabiliry of the sndents in pursuing  quatntive ond qmndntive  their  firnl  apprrnch has beenused., The research indicued that 65% of the students had chnsen thesis as their  tasks, and 35vo non-thesis as thcir  firu|  fiom tostcs a tastcs. Most of the proitems were concemed with psychological problcms, and research designs based on surveys elaborated into a.-postfacto antysis. Dau anatysis has been based on non-pramcaic stotistics. Textbools in the bolnsa Indonesia have been 1014 years old, and thc Engrish oncs lave been 20years oa., Thefinaltask of the sndeny courd  be divided iwoTAS (thesis  final  tosks) and rABS (non thesis  firwl tas/.s). For TAS there were 4l subjects and mostty on the btinds (12 subjects or 29,26%). while for TABS there are 23 subjea on menaily hondicapped(7 subjects or i0,43%). There v,as onty one subject on girted children or 4,34%. Ord il v.-s nat athesis, but afirai task (ion-thesis).TIis  due to the gifted fact that there is rw Format Institute which hardle children.To obnin those subjects on gified children be tied at normal schoob and  favoite schools.

Abstract

PEDOMAN PENJENJANGAN BUKU BACAAN BERBAHASA JAWA BERMUATAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER UNTUK SEKOLAH DASARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan pedoman penjenjangan buku bacaan berbasis kearifan lokal sebagai media internalisasi pendidikan karakter untuk pembelajaran bahasa Jawa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian R & D versi Borg and Gall ini menggunakan subjek penelitian siswa kelas I-VI, guru, ahli bahasa, ahli pembelajaran, dan ahli media. Penelitian melibatkan 9 SD di Kota Yogyakarta, Bantul, dan Sleman. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, tes membaca, studi dokumentasi, dan angket sesuai dengan langkah-langkah kegiatan dalam penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa prototipe dikembangkan sebagai pedoman penyusunan buku bacaan berjenjang bahasa Jawa berdasar kemampuan dan kebutuhan siswa sekolah dasar. Komponen penjenjangan teks adalah jenjang, panjang, tata letak, struktur dan organisasi, ilustrasi, dan konten. Validasi ahli bahasa, ahli pembelajaran, dan ahli media menunjukkan hasil sangat baik. Untuk memperjelas penjenjangan, disusun contoh buku bacaan berjenjang yang telah diujicobakan dalam kelompok kecil dan respons siswa menunjukkan baik serta berdasarkan kegiatan FGD diperoleh respons para guru sangat baik.AbstractThis study was aimed at developing book-grading guidance for Javanese reading books based on the local wisdom as a medium of character education in the elementary school. Borg and Gall's R & D model was used in this study. The research subjects were the elementary students of Grades I-VI, teachers, linguists, learning specialists, and media experts. The study involved 9 elementary schools in Yogyakarta, Bantul, and Sleman. The samples were chosen by purposive sampling techniques. The data were collected using interviews, observation, reading tests, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that the prototype of the developed book-grading guideline for the Javanese reading book, based on the capabilities and the needs of elementary school students, includes components of level, length, layout, structure and organization, illustration, and content. The validation of linguists, learning experts, and media experts shows excellent results. To verify the grading, the results of the try-out on sampled small groups shows good student responses and, based on FGD activities, obtains excellent teacher responses.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of chemical modules with compendium verses Quran to improving student learning outcomes in Pesantren-based school. The study used the research and development method with five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data show that 99% of students and teachers need comparative science course modules with compendium from the Quran. The modules that have been produced are validated by material experts, linguists, learning experts, media experts, and practitioners. The results show that the module has been feasible to be implemented in classroom learning. The validation results show that the product is valid and feasible to use. The trial is limited and the main test is performed after module revision. The average pretest and posttest results show that with the use of the development module the results increase, so the use of this module is more effective because it improves students’ achievement. The significance value of the t-test is 0.001 which means there is an influence on the use of chemical modules with compendium verses from the QuranKEEFEKTIFAN MODUL KIMIA DENGAN KOMPENDIUM AYAT-AYAT ALQURAN PADA SEKOLAH BERBASIS PESANTRENAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas modul kimia dengan dilengkapi kompendium ayat-ayat Alquran dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada sekolah berbasis pesantren. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan lima tahapan yaitu: analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Data menunjukkan bahwa 100% siswa dan guru membutuhkan modul mata pelajaran kimia berkompendium Alquran. Modul yang telah dihasilkan divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli bahasa, ahli pembelajaran, ahli media, dan praktisi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa modul layak diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa produk tersebut valid dan layak untuk digunakan. Uji coba terbatas dan uji coba utama dilakukan setelah dilakukan revisi modul. Hasil rata-rata pretest dan posttest menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan hasil dengan penggunaan modul pengembangan. Penggunaan modul ini lebih efektif karena meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Nilai signifikansi dari uji-t adalah 0,001. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh pada penggunaan modul kimia dengan kompendium ayat-ayat Alquran.

Abstract

This study was aimed at analyzing the competencies that are provided and the relevance of graduate competence of vocational schools to work in the construction industry. The evaluation study used was a discrepancy model by identifying gaps between the needs of construction industry competencies and the competencies of Building Engineering graduates. The objects of the study were company owners, heads of the Human Resources Department, and head of the Building Engineering Expertise Program. The data were retrieved using a questionnaire with 60 open statements. The instruments were prepared based on the Director General of Secondary Education Decree Number 7013/D/KP/2013 which is adjusted to the theory of competence and competency of the pre-survey results. The data then were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study showed that industry requires seven attitude competencies, seven knowledge competencies, and six skills competencies. Industrial competency requirements that are relevant to the competencies supplied by Vocational Schools are six attitude competencies, five knowledge competencies, and one skill competency with a level of relevance in the high category which shows that vocational school graduates are competent to work in the construction industry.RELEVANSI KOMPETENSI LULUSAN SMK TEKNIK BANGUNAN UNTUK BEKERJA DI INDUSTRI KONSTRUKSIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi yang dibekalkan dan tingkat relevansi kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Memengah Kejuruan (SMK) Teknik Bangunan untuk bekerja di industri jasa konstruksi. Penelitian evaluasi menggunakan model diskrepansi dengan mengidentifikasikan kesenjangan antara kebutuhan kompetensi industri konstruksi dan kompetensi lulusan Teknik Bangunan. Objek penelitian adalah pemilik perusahaan, kepala Human Resources Departement (HRD), dan kepala Program Keahlian Teknik Bangunan. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan 60 pernyataan terbuka. Instrumen disusun berdasarkan Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Menengah Nomor 7013/D/KP/2013 yang disesuaikan dengan teori kompetensi dan kompetensi hasil prasurvei. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi yang sangat dibutuhkan industri adalah tujuh kompetensi sikap, tujuh kompetensi pengetahuan, dan enam kompetensi keterampilan. Kebutuhan kompetensi industri yang relevan dengan kompetensi yang dibekalkan SMK adalah enam kompetensi sikap, lima kompetensi pengetahuan, dan satu kompetensi keterampilan dengan tingkat relevansi dalam kategori tinggi yang menunjukkan bahwa lulusan SMK kompeten untuk bekerja di industri konstruksi.

Abstract

Abstract This research has been carried out to improve the mathematics learning activity and by Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). This research was done in three cycles to the fourth grade students of the State Elementary School 27 in Ampenan in the academic year of 2006/2007. The result shows that to improve the learning activity, the implementation of RME should involve the following step: (1) the instruction has to begin with arousing motivation and apperception, (2) the students solve contextual problems with a very limited or without the teacher’s help, (3) the teacher presents the essential concept following the solution of the contextual problem, (4) the result of the students discussion has to be presented in front of the class by the students, and (5) the final step of the instruction has to be the making summary and  giving homework assignment.
