Abstract

This research aims to describe [1] the role of self-efficacy in students' ability to write poetry, (2) the difficulties students face in applying self-efficacy in their ability to write poetry, and (3) solutions to overcome students' difficulties in applying self-efficacy in their ability to write poetry in class IV MIN 1 Kota Mataram. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive type and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the role of self-efficacy in class IV MIN 1 Kota Mataram is as follows: 1) a benchmark for students' activity choices, 2) achieving students' goals, as a driving force in solving problems for students, and 3) as a determinant of students' learning success. The difficulties students face in applying self-efficacy in their ability to write poetry are caused by 1) students' difficulty in determining themes and initial vocabulary to start writing, 2) not understanding the structure of good poetry writing, 3) difficulty in concentrating when doing assigned tasks. The fourth-grade teacher as the class mentor has provided fairly good solutions to overcome students' difficulties in applying self-efficacy in their ability to write poetry, including 1) providing motivation for students to read more diligently by giving specific times for students to read freely, 2) provides examples of existing poetry, and students are required to be more active in the learning process, 3) provides creative teaching methods both in terms of media or when teaching so that students have the initiative from themselves in writing poetry.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the School Literacy Movement on reading ability at the beginning of grade 1 at MI Karanganyar. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey research design and data collection techniques using questionnaires. The sample in this study consisted of 35 students. The results of the research show that there is no significant correlation between familiarization with school literacy movements and initial reading ability, with PTS data correlation test values ??of 0.217 and 0.225 and PAS data correlation test values ??of 0.102 and 0.570. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between these two variables. Thus, to increase the effectiveness of literacy programs and early reading skills, more systematic and targeted efforts are needed in implementation, as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure that program objectives can be achieved well. Addressing irregularities in implementation, increasing resources and supports, and reducing variability in individual responses can help strengthen the relationship between early reading skills and school literacy movement practices.

Abstract

This study seeks to (1) describe MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara instructors' inventiveness in using audio-visual technology to teach the Qur'an and Hadith. (2) Assess MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara teachers' capacity to use audio-visual technology to teach the Qur'an and Hadith. Data analysis employed the Hamberman approach, which involves data reduction, display, conclusion, and verification. Data validity triangulates. Study results: (1) MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara provides many learning media that teachers can use. MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara has projectors, smart boards, laptops, PCs, wireless microphones, amplifiers, and funnel speakers. Audio-visual media at MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara increases learning quality and makes it more engaging. (2) Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers at MI Qubbatul Islam Cakranegara use audio-visual tools to enhance learning. Learning videos, audio murals, interactive presentations, and Islamic film documents are used in audio-visual media. Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers use audio-visual media to make learning more exciting and interactive and help students understand the material better and optimally. However, facilities are limited, so if the media is for one teacher, other teachers will clash with other classes. This medium has been shown to improve student comprehension and enthusiasm

Abstract

This study aims to identify the learning difficulties of grade VI students in arithmetic at MIS YPII Tanjung Pura and analyze the factors influencing these difficulties. A quantitative method with a descriptive approach was employed for data collection through questionnaires and analysis of student scores. The questionnaire consisted of 20 statements with "Yes" or "No," focusing on aspects such as motivation, conceptual understanding, and support from the learning environment. Additionally, student score data were analyzed to identify patterns of learning difficulties. The results showed that 54.7% of students had difficulty understanding basic arithmetic operations, particularly in multiplication and division. Furthermore, 66.7% of students felt insecure when faced with math problems, and 77.8% expressed needing additional guidance outside of school. Internal factors, such as low motivation and anxiety about math, and external factors, including monotonous teaching methods and minimal parental support, negatively impacted learning outcomes. Data indicated that 50% of students scored below the passing standard. This study recommends using interactive learning strategies, utilizing visual media, and enhancing collaboration between teachers and parents to better support students in their learning processes

Abstract

This study examines parental divorce's impact on elementary school children at MI Hidayatul Islam Clarak. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used in this study include interviews and observations. The subjects of this research are 10 students from MI Hidayatul Islam Clarak, one teacher, and two student guardians. The student subjects were selected from families who have experienced divorce. The age range of the research subjects is between 7 and 12 years old, corresponding to elementary school age. The results indicate that following a divorce, most children tend to live with their mothers, while only a few live with their fathers. Additionally, it is not uncommon for children after a divorce to be taken in by one of their grandmothers and enrolled in an elementary school, such as MI Hidayatul Islam, where the research was conducted. Research findings indicate that the impact of parental divorce on students' character can be observed primarily in psychological dimensions. Emotionally, children often experience feelings of loss, confusion, and even anxiety due to changes in family support, especially when they live only with their mother or other relatives, such as a grandmother. This limited parental presence may lead to a perceived lack of attention or support from their father, affecting their emotional stability. Psychologically, children may face identity crises and become more vulnerable to issues like prolonged insecurity or depression, which can have long-term effects on their character development and behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interaction strategies between teachers and parents in efforts to improve student achievement at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Miftahul Ulum. In this research, a qualitative approach was used to deeply explore the social interactions between teachers and parents in supporting student success. Data collection techniques included interviews and observations, allowing researchers to gather direct insights from participants about their perceptions and experiences regarding this educational collaboration. The findings identified three main interaction strategies implemented by teachers: the parent-teacher association as a regular communication forum, home visits to understand students’ home environments, and a student achievement space as a medium for recognition and motivation for high-performing students. The implementation of these three strategies demonstrated a significant increase in parental involvement, contributing positively to both the academic and character development of students. This study reveals that the interactions fostered between teachers and parents can create a supportive learning environment, thereby enhancing students’ achievements holistically
