Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest coffee-exporting countries in the world. This is due to the high competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in the international market, as well as its distinctive characteristics. This study aims to analyze the influence of export prices, exchange rates, and total production on the export volume of Sumatran coffee from 2010 to 2023. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from literature studies conducted by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the Ministry of Trade, the Plantation Service, UN COMTRADE, the World Bank Commodity Price Data, as well as related articles and journals. The data consists of time series records spanning from 2010 to 2023. This study employs a non-participant observation method to collect data, which involves reading, gathering, and documenting relevant information. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, and data processing is conducted using SPSS software version 27. The results of data processing and simultaneous testing indicate that export prices, exchange rates, and total production influence the export volume of Sumatran coffee during the 2010-2023 period. Partially, export prices and total production have a positive and significant impact on export volume, whereas the exchange rate has a negative and significant effect. To enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesian coffee, efforts to increase its productivity—currently still relatively low—are essential.

Abstract

The TOPSIS method in the Decision Support System for Determining Outstanding Students at SMP XX explains that this method is used to select alternatives (students) who have the closest distance to the positive ideal solution and the furthest from the negative ideal solution. This method considers criteria such as academic grades, activeness in extracurricular activities, and disciplinary attitudes. By implementing TOPSIS, it is hoped that objective and accurate decisions can be made in determining outstanding students. The TOPSIS (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method was chosen because of its reliability in overcoming complexity and uncertainty in multi-criteria decision making. Eka got a preference value of 0.31144246, Elsa got a preference value of 0.62095919, Frits got a preference value of 0.80287008, and Ninik got a preference value of 0.38000306. With the results of these preference values, it can be determined that Frits gets rank 1, Elsa gets rank 2, Ninik gets rank 3, and Eka gets rank 4.

Abstract

The swift advancement of information technology has a significant influence on corporate operations of all sizes that employ advanced technology in conducting their commercial purposes. Advancements in the digital realm necessitate that company professionals, particularly those in the pharmaceutical industry, enhance their digital marketing and communication strategies with clients. A pharmacy is a retail establishment where pharmacists engage in the practice of pharmacological medicine. In addition to providing pharmaceutical services, pharmacies are classified as a commercial sector under the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI) with code 47721, which specifically refers to the retail trade of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals for human use in pharmacies. The objective of this study is to assess the impact of utilising the Whatsapp social media platform on the augmentation of sales for over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, prescription drugs, vitamins, and medical gadgets at Wonomulyo Pharmacy. The selected research approach is descriptive analysis using the purposive sampling methodology. The data collecting methods include interviews, formal documentation, and participant observation. The study's findings revealed a remarkable 91.31% surge in sales achieved through WhatsApp media compared to the intended goal. The study concludes that the promotion plan using WhatsApp social media offers advantages such as market expansion, elevated sales turnover, attraction of new customers, and serves as a promotional medium

Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the quality of BPJS Employment services at the Rantau Parapat Public Service Mall. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, the author explains how BPJS Employment services are provided at the public service mall at BPJS Employment Rantau Parapat as a form of implementing excellent service in administrative reform. Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in a cooperative environment. This research aims to analyze the influence of communication, rewards and work environment on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable. The research approach used was explanatory research with a census method, involving 51 respondents who were employees of KSP Bhina ​​Raharja Papahan Karanganyar. Data analysis was carried out using path analysis to test direct and indirect relationships between variables. The research results show that rewards have the most dominant influence on employee performance, both directly and through work motivation. Meanwhile, communication has a negative influence on performance, and the work environment has a positive but not significant influence. Work motivation is proven to be an intervening variable that strengthens the relationship between rewards and employee performance. These findings have the implication that human resource management in cooperatives must place more emphasis on an effective reward system to increase employee motivation and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to explore, analyze, and interpret the impact of Individual Competence, Work Discipline, and Work Motivation on the performance of employees at PT. Reads Media Indonesia. The research approach used is descriptive quantitative, with a population and sample consisting of 36 employees. Data collection was conducted through interviews, questionnaires, and literature studies. The data obtained will be analyzed using statistical tools and SPSS version 24 software. The research results show that: 1. Individual Competence has a positive and significant impact on the performance of employees at PT. Reads Media Indonesia. In general, Individual Competence has a strong influence on improving employee performance, which is a crucial factor in achieving organizational goals. 2. Work Discipline also has a positive and significant impact on the performance of employees at PT. Reads Media Indonesia. Competence is an important factor that supports employees in optimally developing their potential to support organizational goals with full awareness. 3. Work Motivation also has a positive and significant impact on performance at PT. Reads Media Indonesia. The main factors in the work environment include the atmosphere and supporting facilities that play an important role in the execution of work tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of organizational culture in improving employee performance at the Nias Class B Search and Rescue Office (BASARNAS). Organizational culture plays a crucial role in shaping employee behavior, motivation, and productivity, especially in public service institutions such as BASARNAS. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis related to organizational culture at BASARNAS Class B Nias. The main respondents were BASARNAS employees and management, selected by purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of organizational culture at BASARNAS Class B Nias has a positive impact on employee performance. A strong organizational culture, especially one that emphasizes values ​​such as cooperation, responsibility, and innovation, is a determining factor in creating a conducive work environment. The active involvement of management in promoting and maintaining the culture also plays a vital role in increasing employee morale and dedication. However, this study also identified several challenges in implementing organizational culture, including resistance to change from some employees and the incompatibility of cultural values ​​with local characteristics. Therefore, this study provides strategic recommendations to improve the effectiveness of organizational culture implementation, such as developing training programs, communicating cultural values ​​more effectively, and strengthening collaboration between management and employees.

Abstract

The merit system in the management of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) has been introduced in Indonesia since the Dutch colonial era, but the implementation of a structured and modern merit system officially began in the post-independence era, especially when the Republic of Indonesia was just formed. Based on the results of the assessment of the State Civil Apparatus Commission on the measurement of the merit system above, information was obtained that the Nias Regency Government is in the bad category. This study uses a qualitative research approach where qualitative research as a scientific method is often used and implemented by a group of researchers in the field of social sciences, including education. The results of the study show that the implementation of the merit system in the Nias Regency government is currently an important step in building clean, effective, democratic, and trusted governance. Optimizing the implementation of the merit system in the Nias Regency government has a significant impact, including improving organizational performance, better public services, filling key positions by competent individuals, transparency in employee management, and creating a more productive and collaborative work environment.

Abstract

Educational effectiveness is a measure of the success of an organizational goal. The effectiveness of educational institutions consists of the dimensions of school management and leadership, teachers, education staff and other personnel, students, curriculum, infrastructure, classroom management. Training is a place for employees to learn attitudes, skills and skills related to work (Maryadi, 2019 ). In science, there is the aim of this research, the effectiveness of the implementation of education and training in improving human resource performance in the PPA (Women and Child Protection) Unit at Nias Police, the obstacles or challenges faced in implementing education and training programs to improve human resource performance in The Nias Police PPA Unit in protecting women and children from violence, a supporting factor in efforts to increase the number of personnel participating in Education and Training programs, especially handling cases in the PPA Unit. This research uses a qualitative type of research and the object of the research is carried out on natural objects. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, documentation and interviews. Researchers carry out observations by going directly into the field to see the objects being studied, then conducting interviews with informants to dig up information about the objects being studied and collecting documents. The conclusion of the researcher's objective is the effectiveness of the implementation of education and training in improving the performance of human resources in the PPA (women and child protection) unit at the Nias Police. It has been implemented but there are still human resources working and not yet fully able to implement it.

Abstract

This study investigates whether AI is a possible game-changer in the communications industry for cultural manifestations digitally and, hence, an active protagonist in the moisture preservation and sustenance of Nusantara cultural heritage. By examining eight cultural applications on the Google Playstore ranging from cultural education application to local language dictionary application and so on, this research evaluate the existing mobile apps and future opportunities for integrating AI into cultural preservation endeavors. The results indicate that present applications do not employ AI but there is great potential for incorporating AI features such as adaptive learning, semantic search, and personalization of content recommendations. The study stresses having a solid digital backbone defined by an inclusive policy framework and collaborative inter-disciplines which is crucial because of challenges such as disparities in technological access, data privacy concerns, and resistance from culture. Policy recommendations ensuring the responsible use of AI are put forward in terms of ethical standards, digital literacy, and sustainable development that strive to advance Indonesia's digitalization narratives in harmony with cultural sustainability in the wake of the digital era.
