Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of digital social campaigns through online media in increasing environmental awareness and behavior among millennials. Using a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative), the study evaluates the relationship between content type, frequency of interaction, and platform selection with audience engagement and understanding of environmental issues. The results indicate that creative and interactive content, such as short videos, infographics, and educational quizzes, can motivate millennials to actively participate in campaigns and adopt environmentally friendly behaviors. Popular social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and WhatsApp have proven effective in reaching and increasing audience engagement, with TikTok ranking highest in terms of engagement. Digital social campaigns not only disseminate information but also foster two-way communication that strengthens the internalization of environmental values and supports sustainable attitudinal change. A structured communication strategy, prioritizing creative content and utilizing modern technology, is key to success in achieving sustainability goals. This study emphasizes the importance of optimal digital campaigns as innovative educational tools to mobilize millennial participation in environmental preservation.

Abstract

The 2025 KBPM at Tribuana University Kalabahi is implemented with an empowerment paradigm, carrying the theme: 'KBPM Tribuana University Kalabahi: Impacting from Villages to the Global Market; Transforming Superior Village Products.’’' One of the KBPM Tribuana University Kalabahi locations is in Kayang Village, Pantar Northwest District. Kayang Village has seaweed potential with many benefits, one of which is as a food ingredient. Seaweed pudding is tangible proof of culinary creativity in the village's superior products, which is not only delicious but also rich in benefits. This pudding is not just an ordinary snack but a perfect combination of soft, chewy texture and the right sweetness.Through training and pudding production, this becomes a new skill in managing home industries, practical and low-cost. The ease of sustainable production is due to the sufficient availability of raw materials (seaweed). As for marketing prospects, it is well understood that market access and demand must continuously be improved by implementing efficient and effective promotional strategies, packaging design, and utilizing social media to expand market networks. The sustainability of seaweed development businesses must receive serious attention from the Kayang village government by encouraging village-level PPK by developing pudding businesses as one of the small home industries to gain economic profits.

Abstract

The 2025 Community Empowerment Joint Lecture (KBPM) of Tribuana Kalabahi University in Maru Village, Pura Island, was held with the aim of increasing community economic independence through the utilisation of local potential. The method used was a participatory action approach involving housewives, fishermen, students, field assistants (DPL), and the village government. The results of the activity showed the creation of two innovative flagship products, namely Butter Sweet (Bungaa corn product) and Sambal Ikan Tali, which were produced using modern techniques, packaged hygienically, and began to be introduced through digital platforms. In addition to producing value-added products, this programme also encouraged active community participation, improved technical skills, and fostered confidence to introduce products to a wider market. The conclusion of this activity is that the synergy between academics, the community, and the village government is capable of bringing about sustainable empowerment based on local potential. The success of KBPM in Maru Village is a model of collaboration that can be replicated in other villages in order to strengthen local identity while opening up economic opportunities for the community in the era of the global market.

Abstract

The proclamation of the Gospel within a pluralistic society requires evangelists to possess a wise and compassionate attitude toward indigenous religions. In the context of Indonesia, which is rich in cultural and religious diversity, the interaction between evangelists and adherents of indigenous faiths demands deep understanding to avoid cultural clashes or feelings of threat among those being served. This study aims to examine the attitudes that evangelists should embody toward indigenous religions and how the positive values within them can be appropriately integrated into Christian Religious Education (CRE). The research method used is a literature review combined with theological reflection, emphasizing the principles of Gospel contextualization, intercultural dialogue, and respect for the noble values present in indigenous religions. The findings reveal that an effective evangelist’s attitude must include humility, openness, respect for local culture, and a willingness to build healthy dialogue. In its implementation in CRE, this can be realized through the development of teaching materials that honor local wisdom, encourage students to understand cultural and religious diversity, and instill the universal love of Christ. Thus, Christian Religious Education not only serves as a means of teaching faith but also shapes students’ character to be tolerant, open, and ready to bear witness in a multicultural society. Such awareness is expected to minimize conflict, build bridges of understanding, and strengthen the witness of the Gospel within a multicultural context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in-depth the role of community gardens and local food empowerment in improving maternal nutritional status in remote areas through a literature review approach. Maternal nutritional issues, particularly in areas with limited access to nutritious food, remain a significant challenge in efforts to improve public health. Through a review of relevant scientific sources, articles, and policy reports, this study highlights how community garden initiatives and the optimization of local food sources can increase the availability, diversity, and consumption of nutritious food for pregnant and breastfeeding women. The study results indicate that community gardens serve not only as an alternative food source but also as a means of nutrition education, strengthening social solidarity, and enhancing community-based food security. Empowering women in local garden management has been shown to strengthen their role as agents of change within families and communities, promoting healthy eating behaviors, and reducing the risk of maternal malnutrition. This study emphasizes the importance of a participatory and locally-based approach to nutrition interventions, particularly in areas facing geographic and economic barriers. Therefore, integrating local health and agricultural policies that support the sustainability of community gardens and access to nutritious food is a key recommendation for strengthening maternal nutritional security in remote areas.

Abstract

Waste remains an environmental issue facing the people of Naena Muktipura Village, Iwaka District, Mimika Regency. Lack of public awareness of the decomposition time of waste and the habit of littering are key issues identified based on field observations. In response to this situation, Group 1 of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) implemented an Environmental Care Movement by creating and installing waste education boards as a visual educational tool for the community. This activity aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of inorganic waste and the importance of maintaining a clean environment. The implementation method is carried out collaboratively within students, including needs analysis, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The educational boards are designed to be simple and informative, featuring real-life examples of waste and information on the decomposition time. They are then installed in strategic locations for easy access and reading by the public. The results of the activity showed that the educational boards were installed effectively and received a positive response from the community. The boards attracted residents' attention and increased their understanding of the long-term impacts of waste. This activity is expected to foster collective community awareness of maintaining a clean environment sustainably.
