Abstract

This research provides information about the intellectual dynamics of dayah ulama Aceh. The goal is to find a common thread between tradition and modernization in dayah ulama Aceh scholarship. This research is a historical research using a social history approach. Based on the results of data analysis, the research results show that the role of the dayah is a realization of the intellectual manifestation of the dayah ulama Aceh. Dayah is used as a forum to teach various knowledge of Islamic teachings with a curriculum based on classical books or turats by maintaining the faith of experts in the sunnah wal jamaah. Based on the historical dynamic journey, dayah still exists as a fortress and a place for cadre generations to understand the teachings of Islam. So, Acehnese dayah intellectuals emphasize more on understanding classical books with actual contexts. So, the demands of the changing times provide its own dynamics to the intellectuals of the dayah ulama Aceh, but in this case the emphasis is that Islamic teachings through dayah continue to exist.

Abstract

Oral literary works usually produce works related to culture because they develop by word of mouth in the community. Oral literature is one of the cultural heritages originating from the community. One of the oral literature that develops in the community is folk prose or folklore. Folklore is said to be a cultural heritage because it usually expresses an event or occurrence that comes from a certain region or area and can be a toponymous story of an area. One of the folk prose or folklore that developed in the community is the folklore of Mount Galunggung originating from the City of Tasikmalaya, West Java. This study tries to transfer folklore into the form of drama texts as an effort to preserve culture by using descriptive research and literature. The folklore was converted into a one-act drama text that tells about Raden Anom Aria's deliberation with the ulama, traditional elders, and the people of Galunggung to establish the Galunggung Kingdom. The content of the drama text emphasizes more on the deliberation process. The changes made are the shrinking of the plot, setting, and characters into a one-act drama text consisting of three scenes. The characters presented include: a) Raden Anom Aria; b) White Kuncung Batara; c) Ulama (Shaykh), and the people of Galunggung to establish the Kingdom of Galunggung. The characters presented include: a) Raden Anom Aria; b) White Kuncung Batara; c) Ulama (Shaykh), d) Traditional Elders, and e) People. Based on the results of this vehicle transfer research, it can be concluded that folklore can be used as a source of ideas or references for making drama scripts, whether they are staged or not. In addition, by carrying out the process of transferring folklore into drama, it will at least attract the attention and interest of the current generation.

Abstract

The importance of the ecological and forest conservation of Dayak communities in Central Kalimantan as the support of indigenous communities is not only based on capital and natural resources to meet their needs in the simplest sense, but also in the local philosophy of crisp tree sustainability and balance of God, nature, and human relationships. The global need to meet the market demand for vegetable oil leads to massive expansion of land, environment, and society, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. This is a debate why these plants can only grow in the tropics, especially in areas passed by the equator. This raises many questions if such expansion attacks in place or region of developed countries like what? how do they handle emerging problems? Regardless of the question, this study only illustrates the contradiction, the idea of the idea of how to protect the environment between local and global values. Hinting pali is a media of Dayak community resistance to ecology and defense disputes related to the existence of the Palm Oil Company [PBS] in Central Kalimantan to the Dayak community. This ritual represents abstinence and prohibition [pali]. This ritual as a message of Dayak community wants to find a win-win solution to conflict and defense dispute between the local community and PBS. The hinting rituals of the Dayak Ngaju community, especially Hindu Kaharingan still grow and develop. Hinting pali as an oral tradition can be used as an effective medium of resistance, especially in conveying their message and protest against ecology and land annihilation by PBS. Hinting pali performance as a Dayak Kaharingan community resistance ritual in Central Kalimantan can express their thoughts and feelings about culture, history, customs, human relationships with the environment and God. They can also use hinting pali to express warnings "to determine the future of the community and express their feelings to ecological conditions, or other social problems". By using hinting pali, PBS entrepreneurs cannot marginalize ideas about how to protect their environment because they exist.
