Abstract

This community service program aims to revitalize the village library so that it can function again as a center of literacy and learning for the community. The main problem encountered is the suboptimal management and utilization of village library facilities. The program was carried out at the Majasari Village Library, Jawilan Subdistrict, Serang Regency, using a participatory mentoring approach implemented through several stages: (1) Sorting library materials, (2) Applying ownership and inventory stamps, (3) Creating a master catalog book, (4) Preparing descriptive and subject catalogs, (5) Attaching labels, pockets, and book cards, and (6) Organizing collections according to categories. The results show that the library materials became more organized, the number of collections was well recorded, and the process of finding materials needed by the community became easier. This revitalization effort also contributes to strengthening literacy development within the village community. Keywords: Literacy; Jawilan; Village Library; Revitalization

Abstract

Schools are a foundational institution in building a nation's future. As centers of learning and character development, schools hold a dual role: not only to transfer knowledge but also to foster a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all students. In Lebak Regency, Banten Province, sexual violence has emerged as a critical issue demanding urgent attention. Data from various institutions reveal an alarming trend: cases of sexual violence, particularly affecting students, are increasing annually. This phenomenon represents a tangible crisis that threatens the safety and future of the region's younger generation. An educational outreach program on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence was conducted at SMAN 3 Pangarangan (Pangarangan 3 State Senior High School), Cimandiri Village, Pangarangan District, Lebak Regency. Abstract

Food availability at the family level is an important issue in strengthening national food security, especially in rural areas. In Sukadiri Village, the “One House One Local Food” Program offers an innovative solution by encouraging the use of honey pumpkin (Butternut squash) as a local food source that is highly nutritious and easy to cultivate. The choice of honey pumpkin is based on its high nutritional content and its ability to grow well in home yards, so that it can support the fulfillment of food needs while increasing family income. The implementation of this program includes education and assistance to residents regarding planting techniques, processing, and utilization of honey pumpkin as daily food. Preliminary results show an increase in community enthusiasm in cultivating honey pumpkin, a variety in food consumption, as well as a positive impact on improving family nutrition and strengthening the household economy. This innovation is also strengthened by the synergy between sectors, including the active involvement of agricultural extension workers and health workers in providing nutrition education and monitoring community development. Therefore, the one house one local food approach based on honey pumpkin has proven to be a strategic step towards family food independence and sustainability in Sukadiri Village. Abstract

The high level of digital media usage among university students is not always accompanied by sufficient media literacy or awareness of digital ethics. Many students engage in sharing unverified information, using inappropriate language on social media, and demonstrating limited understanding of privacy and copyright principles. To address these issues, a community service activity was conducted in the form of an interactive online workshop titled "Media Literacy and Digital Ethics Awareness for University Students." The goal was to enhance students' critical and ethical awareness in digital media usage. The training was held via Zoom and attended by 40 students from various disciplines. Quantitative evaluation was conducted through satisfaction surveys and pre-test/post-test comparisons, while qualitative evaluation involved observing participant interactions during the sessions. Results indicated a significant increase in understanding, with the proportion of students categorized as “highly understanding” rising from 10% to 45%. Satisfaction responses showed that the majority of participants found the materials highly relevant and beneficial. These findings suggest that online-based outreach programs are effective strategies for fostering digital literacy and ethical awareness among students from diverse academic backgrounds. Keywords: media literacy, digital ethics, university students, online training, outreach

Abstract

The problem faced by the Walantaka Village Government is the lack of support from village community institutions, especially RT/RW in the field of administrative services and LPM (Community Empowerment Institution) in the field of village community empowerment. The purpose of this PKM is to provide training to be able to collaborate with stakeholders. The classical method used is that the RT head, RW head and LPM administrators of Walantaka Village are gathered in the village office hall with 2 training sessions. The first session before the material is delivered, a pre-test is held to measure the extent of understanding of the RT/RW heads and LPM administrators. The session is given practice on how to fill out the administration book that must be in the RT/RW administrators and in the LPM administration and is given games that can build effective communication. This second session ends with a Post Test, to measure the extent of acceptance of the RT/RW heads and LPM administrators regarding the material and practices that have been given. To realize the welfare of the community in the sub-district area, of course it cannot be implemented by the Lurah and his sub-district apparatus alone, but it requires support from the sub-district community institutions as partners at the sub-district level. In orderly administrative services, for example, support is needed from the RT head and RW head in helping to provide the required data. If the RT head and RW head cannot help optimally because they do not know what their main duties and functions are, then it is certain that the services provided by the sub-district will not be orderly in administration. Conclusion This coaching clinic activity increases the understanding and capacity of the RT/RW heads and LPM administrators in Walantaka Sub-district in carrying out their functions and roles in the community. Through this coaching, participants gain new insights regarding village-level governance.Keywood : Coaching Clinic, Service, Administrative Order
