Abstract

This study aims to analyze the multidimensional adjustment of new students at PTKIN throughout Central Java, including academic, social, personal-emotional, and institutional aspects based on gender, organizational activity, and residential status. This quantitative study using a survey approach involved 200 new students at PTKIN throughout Central Java as a sample, using the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ) instrument (Baker & Siryk, 1984). Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis tests. The results showed that social adjustment had the highest level, while institutional adjustment had the lowest. Significant differences were found in the academic and institutional dimensions based on gender, as well as in the academic, social, and personal-emotional dimensions based on organizational activity; however, there were no significant differences based on residential status. Islamic values such as ukhuwah, tazkiyatun nafs, and mujahadah played an integrative role in shaping students' academic, emotional, and spiritual balance. PTKIN is advised to strengthen Islamic-based guidance and counseling and integrate organizational activities with the institution's vision.

The results of program implementation are: First, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education mentoring program in SMA Mujahidin Pontianak was carried out through three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Second, several factors supporting the implementation of Islamic Religious Education mentoring programs include the active role of the Principal, educators and education personnel as well as the involvement of Rohis and the inhibiting factors are the lack of time to organize activities, limited resources, and the large amount of financial expenditure from the plan. This budget deficit causes the mentoring program run not optimally as it should be like the implementation of rihlah (religious tourism). Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid and reliable cultural tolerance measurement scale to measure religious students' tolerance towards cultural differences. The research was carried out in the context of Indonesia, a country rich in cultural diversity. This scale development method follows the Rasch analysis approach. The first study was the identification stage of cultural tolerance dimensions, discussions with cultural experts, generalization of scale items, and target population judgment, which resulted in six scenarios and 48 items. The second item validation study employed Rasch for all generalization items and determined four scenarios and 16 items with higher validity. The third study finalized items using advanced Rasch analysis by trying out the final scale that had been determined. The final scale consists of 16 items derived from four scenarios, with each scenario comprising four items. These items were selected based on their prominent levels of validity and reliability, ensuring that they accurately measure the construct of cultural tolerance. Each item was rigorously tested, and only those with strong statistical support were included in the final scale.
