Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using wearable fitness trackers in improving the physical fitness of male students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Manado, as an essential preparation for future Elementary School teachers who require optimal stamina1. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was employed2. The sample consisted of 40 male students divided into two groups: the experimental group ($n=20$) used wearable trackers for 6 weeks, while the control group ($n=20$) did not use any device3. Measurement instruments included standardized physical fitness tests to estimate $\text{VO}_2\text{ max}$ and physical activity data from the devices4. The results showed a significant improvement in physical fitness in the experimental group with an average $\text{VO}_2\text{ max}$ increase of $5.7\ \text{ml/kg/min}$, compared to the control group which only increased by $1.2\ \text{ml/kg/min}$ ($p < 0.05$)5. Effectiveness analysis indicated a large effect size (*Cohen’s d = 1.21$)6. These findings indicate that wearable fitness trackers are effective in supporting the cardiorespiratory fitness improvement of prospective teachers through self-monitoring mechanisms that enhance physical activity motivation7. This technology is recommended as an educational tool that can be integrated into the PGMI curriculum to create fit and technologically literate teacher role models.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of the asbābun nuzūl (occasions of revelation) of jihad-related verses in efforts to counter radicalism and terrorism in the digital era. Advances in information technology and social media enable information to spread rapidly and widely, including literal interpretations of jihad verses that are often misused by extremist groups as a justification for violence against anyone they consider an enemy. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach and contextual–historical content analysis techniques to comprehensively understand the context in which the verses were revealed. The findings show that understanding asbābun nuzūl allows society to interpret jihad verses according to their historical and Shar‘i context, distinguishing between defensive jihad or the enforcement of justice and aggressive violence. The analysis of jihad verses, such as Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 218 and Q.S. At-Tawbah [9]: 29, emphasizes that these verses were revealed within the context of self-defense and community protection, not as a justification for terrorism. Thus, asbābun nuzūl becomes an important instrument for intellectually safeguarding society, critically evaluating religious narratives, and preventing the spread of extremist ideologies in cyberspace.

Abstract

The educational game The Shield of Faith is presented as an instructional innovation designed to cultivate students’ capacity to articulate their opinions in an assertive, logical, and decorous manner. Conceptualized as an interactive simulation integrating role-play and structured discussion, the game engages students in the active construction of ideas, critical examination of contextual issues, and the development of consistent communicative practices. Employing an experiential learning framework combined with group psychoeducation, the program is systematically structured to enhance cognitive domains (including the identification of potential culture shock and moral challenges), affective domains (such as the adoption of appropriate attitudes and sound decision-making), and psychomotor domains (notably the ability to formulate firm yet courteous refusal strategies). This community engagement initiative aims to reinforce the verbal communication competencies of senior high school students at Dayah Terpadu Al Muslimun Lhoksukon, Aceh Utara. Evaluation outcomes demonstrate a substantial improvement in students’ willingness and confidence to express their viewpoints, as reflected in increased verbal participation, elevated argumentative quality, and more active involvement in collaborative discussions.

Abstract

This research investigates the character valuesfound in the animated Lorong Waktu and its potential use in fourth-grade elemntary school drama lessons. Using a qualitative content analysis on six selected episodes Rantang Amanah, Terima Kasih Guru, Tolong menolong, Koruptor, Malas Belajar, and Ngeprank, the study identifies ten key character values; religiosity, honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, curiosity, love of reading, environmental care, social care, and responsibility. Among these, religiosity and responsibility are predominant. Because Lorong Waktu conveys important moral messages, the film is suitable for drama-based learning activities such as Ayo Bermain Peran and Ayo Mengamati. This research is limited to six episodes and does not explore students classroom responses. Practically, the findings can guide teachers in integrating character education through drama learning using animated media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategy of the Islamic capital market in order to realize halal investment that contributes to the growth of the Islamic economy in Indonesia. The Islamic capital market functions to channel funds from the public to productive sectors through investment mechanisms free from riba, gharar, and maisir. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach through analysis of scientific literature, regulations, fatwas of the National Sharia Council (DSN-MUI), and policies issued by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results show that clear regulations and innovation of Islamic investment products are crucial to attracting investor interest, while challenges such as a lack of public understanding and competition with conventional products need to be addressed. The development of the Islamic capital market also functions not only as a means of halal investment but also as a key driver of the growth of the Islamic economy that is just, transparent, and oriented towards the welfare of the people. This effort is in line with the objectives of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah (the principles of Islamic law) to realize economic welfare through an ethical, inclusive, and sustainable financial system.

Abstract

Environmental damage is one of the biggest problems facing modern humans, which is largely triggered by human behavior in excessive use of natural resources. In the tradition of Islamic thought, environmental fiqh (fiqh al-bi'ah) offers a normative approach that integrates the values ​​of faith, morals, and sharia in preserving nature. This article analyzes the ecological policies and thoughts of Umar bin Khattab (RA) as one of the important figures in Islamic history who applied the principles of environmental protection through economic, social, and public governance policies. This study uses a library research method with a qualitative approach and content analysis of various primary and secondary sources related to Umar R.A.'s policies. The results show that Umar placed the environment as a divine mandate, so that economic policies, land management, production, distribution, and consumption were directed towards maintaining the welfare and preventing damage (mafsadah). Umar in realizing protection and combating environmental abuse by carrying out basic warnings, maintaining a balance between the goals of economic growth and the goals of protecting the environment, protecting natural resources, combating pollution and maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Umar's thoughts have been shown to reflect modern sustainability principles, such as intergenerational justice, resource conservation, ecosystem balance, and environmental health as prerequisites for economic growth. Therefore, environmental fiqh from Umar ibn Khattab's perspective can serve as an important reference in developing a holistic and applicable Islamic ecological framework for contemporary environmental issues.

Abstract

The transformation of economic paradigms among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has become a critical issue within Indonesia’s evolving economic landscape, particularly as profit–centered capitalist models increasingly reveal their limitations in fostering long-term sustainability. This conceptual article examines the shift of MSMEs from a capitalistic orientation toward a green economy grounded in Islamic ethical values. The transformation is driven by several key factors, including the rising awareness of halal and ethical business practices among Muslim consumers (OJK, 2024), rapid growth in Islamic financial institutions such as Islamic banks, sharia fintech, and BMTs (KNEKS, 2024), regulatory reinforcement through the Financial Sector Development Law and DSN-MUI fatwas, and the expansion of the global halal market valued at over USD 5 trillion (DinarStandard, 2023). Despite these opportunities, the transition of MSMEs toward sharia-compliant and green economic practices faces significant challenges. These include low levels of Islamic financial literacy (Bank Indonesia, 2023), limited access to affordable sharia financing, and gaps in technical guidance and mentorship. To address these issues, this study proposes a four-stage paradigm shift model: value internalization, preparatory business auditing, transformation through the application of sharia contracts and ethical business conduct, and reinforcement through halal certification and sharia-based digitalization. The analysis builds upon previous studies demonstrating the impact of Islamic values on MSME sustainability (Rahman & Rosman, 2022; Zainuddin, 2021) and the alignment between green economy principles and maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (UNDP, 2022; Nasr, 2014). The findings of this conceptual study indicate that integrating Islamic values, green sustainability principles, and MSME business practices can produce an alternative economic model that is ethically driven, resilient, and globally competitive. This article provides a foundation for policy formulation related to sharia literacy enhancement, expansion of green-sharia financing, and strengthening the national halal ecosystem as a strategic pathway for transforming Indonesia’s MSMEs toward a more just and sustainable economy. Abstract

To prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century, elementary schools need to teach digital literacy from an early age. This study aims to analyze the perceptions and responses of digital literacy in the learning process at SDN 79 Palembang and its obstacles. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the principal, three class teachers, and 30 students from grades IV-VI, amounting to 89.3%, actively use ICT tools, digital media, and interactive platforms in the learning process. The school also has a computer laboratory, projector, and internet access as supporting facilities. The results indicate that perceptions and responses of digital literacy influence learning outcomes, increasing creativity, participation, independence in learning, and forming critical, ethical, and responsible digital characters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis berbagai bentuk perilaku Bullying yang terjadi di lingkungan madrasah tsanawiyah serta meneliti dampaknya terhadap kesehatan mental santri. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur, penelitian ini mengkaji sejumlah referensi yang relevan mengenai fenomena Bullying, termasuk bentuk-bentuk seperti Bullying verbal dan fisik, serta strategi pencegahan yang dapat diterapkan di madrasah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Bullying merupakan masalah serius yang tidak hanya mempengaruhi kondisi psikologis korban, tetapi juga mengganggu proses pembelajaran dan perkembangan karakter santri. Penerapan strategi termasuk pembentukan tim anti-Bullying, pendidikan karakter berbasis akhlak, serta kolaborasi antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat diidentifikasi sebagai langkah penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan madrasah yang aman, religius, dan harmonis. Hasil studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman praktis dan teori untuk pihak madrasah dan pemangku kepentingan dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanganan Bullying demi mendukung kesejahteraan mental peserta didik dan terciptanya suasana belajar yang kondusif.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia menjadi langkah strategis untuk mewujudkan visi Menuju Generasi Emas MBG 2045. Salah satu aspek penting dalam usaha tersebut ialah penguatan fungsi kognitif anak sebagai dasar pembentukan kecerdasan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Perkembangan fungsi kognitif anak tidak hanya dipengaruhi faktor biologis tetapi juga oleh asupan gizi seimbang serta aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan secara teratur. Asupan gizi mendukung pembentukan jaringan saraf dan peningkatan kemampuan otak sedangkan aktivitas fisik membantu kelancaran aliran darah dan oksigen menuju otak sehingga proses belajar dan konsentrasi anak semakin baik. Hubungan ketiga aspek tersebut selaras dengan konsep Tri Pusat Pendidikan yaitu keluarga sekolah dan masyarakat yang bekerja secara terpadu untuk membangun fondasi kuat agar anak berkembang optimal dan siap menghadapi tantangan global menuju Indonesia Emas 2045.
