Abstract

This article analyzes the disparity between the regulation of water destructive power control and its implementation in the South Bandung region, focusing on the performance of the Citarum River Basin Agency (BBWS Citarum). Employing a juridical-empirical approach, the research finds that although BBWS has attributive authority based on Law No. 17 of 2019 on Water Resources and Ministerial Regulation PUPR No. 16 of 2020, its effectiveness is hindered by structural, substantive, and legal culture factors according to Lawrence M. Friedman's Legal System Theory. Empirical data indicates recurrent flooding in Dayeuhkolot, Baleendah, and Bojongsoang in 2025 despite operational infrastructure projects such as the Nanjung Tunnel and retention ponds. The conclusion recommends cross-sectoral regulatory synchronization and a preventive approach to address this gap, aiming for more sustainable water resource management

Abstract

The post-pandemic rise of borderless workforces has introduced jurisdictional complexities in cross-border employment agreements, particularly for Indonesian remote workers employed by foreign entities without local presence. This study aims to examine the characteristics of such employment relationships, the enforceability of foreign choice-of-law clauses under Indonesian public order principles, and competent dispute resolution forums. Employing a normative legal approach, data were collected through conceptual analysis of statutes, international conventions, and academic literature, including UU Ketenagakerjaan and ILO standards. Findings reveal that subordination tests reclassify "independent contractors" as employees entitled to protections; foreign choice-of-law clauses are void if violating mandatory rules via lex loci laboris; and while the Industrial Relations Court holds jurisdiction, enforcement challenges persist absent assets or bilateral agreements. This underscores the need for Employer of Record platforms and policy harmonization to safeguard vulnerable workers, fostering equitable globalization.

Abstract

Islamic Education represents a deliberate and structured effort to guide learners in developing their potential holistically as servants of Allah who fulfill the role of khalifah (steward) on earth. Contemporary Islamic education faces fundamental challenges, particularly the dichotomy between religious and secular knowledge and formalism in moral education. This article aims to clarify the philosophical foundations of Islamic education principles, formulate the core principles centered on Tauhid (Islamic monotheism), and systematically classify them into Fundamental, Methodological, and Operational categories. Through philosophical approach and literature review, this study demonstrates that Islamic education principles form an integrated framework where Tauhid serves as the central axis integrating all aspects of education. The findings reveal that sustainable implementation of these principles can overcome the fragmentation of knowledge and address formalism in character development. This systematic classification provides a clear reference framework for educational institutions, policymakers, and educators in implementing Islamic education more effectively, humanely, and in accordance with contemporary developments.

Abstract

The use of syar’i attire has become increasingly prominent in the daily lives of female students of Islamic Religious Education at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, reflecting changes in religious practice within the campus environment. This study aims to examine the meaning of syar’i dress, identify students’ motivations for wearing it, and analyze the types of social action underlying this practice based on Max Weber’s theory. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed thematically using Weber’s classification of social action. The findings indicate that the motivation for wearing syar’i attire is rooted in strong religious understanding and reinforced by psychological, social, and emotional factors. Weberian analysis reveals that value-rational action is the most dominant type, supported by goal-rational, traditional, and affective actions. These findings highlight syar’i dress as a meaningful social practice that reflects the internalization of religious values in students’ academic and social lives.

Abstract

Digital media has become an essential requirement for supporting a more engaging, interactive, and effective learning process. At the Lentera Jaya Community Learning Center (PKBM) in East Lampung, some students have difficulty understanding conventional Indonesian language materials, necessitating the use of digital media as a solution to improve language skills and learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the use of digital media in Indonesian language learning, assess its effectiveness, determine student preferences for digital media types, and identify obstacles and challenges faced. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of 11th-grade students. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify patterns and meanings in students' learning experiences with digital media. The results showed that digital media was effective in improving students' language skills, including writing, reading, speaking, and creative thinking. Digital media also had a positive impact on learning motivation, as students felt more enthusiastic, motivated, and actively engaged in the learning process. Students tended to prefer digital media that were visual, interactive, and supported collaboration, such as learning videos, online quizzes, and discussion forums. However, obstacles such as limited facilities and infrastructure, varying digital literacy, student time and attention management, and content alignment with the curriculum still needed to be addressed to ensure optimal use of digital media. These findings confirm that strategic integration of digital media can improve the overall quality of Indonesian language learning at PKBM Lentera Jaya.

Abstract

Language plays a fundamental role in human life because it is the primary means of thinking, communicating, and understanding reality. In philosophical studies, language is not only seen as a means of communication, but also as a medium that shapes how humans understand the world and truth. Therefore, the issue of language and meaning has become a central theme in modern philosophy, especially in efforts to explain the relationship between language, thought, and reality. This research method uses a qualitative approach with a library research type. The study aims to analyze Bertrand Russell's thoughts on language and meaning within the framework of analytical philosophy. Data sources consist of primary data, namely Bertrand Russell's works relevant to the philosophy of language, and secondary data in the form of books and scientific journal articles discussing analytical philosophy. Analytical Philosophy is a modern philosophical tradition that emphasizes language analysis as the primary tool for explaining and resolving philosophical problems. This tradition developed in the 20th century, especially in England and the United States, and figures such as Bertrand Russell and Ludwig Wittgenstein used language as a primary focus to understand how we think, convey concepts, and solve philosophical problems through logical structures and the use of language in real-life contexts. Bertrand Russell's thinking shows that language has a central role in analytical philosophy as a means to represent reality rationally and systematically. According to Russell, the meaning of a statement is determined by its correspondence with facts, so that the clarity of meaning is very dependent on the logical structure of language. Many philosophical problems arise from the ambiguity of everyday language, so the main task of philosophy is to carry out logical analysis to reconstruct ordinary language expressions into simpler and more precise forms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kognitif jamaah Majlis Ta'lim di Masjid Assaadah Poltangan dengan fokus spesifik pada peran teknik pencatatan (note-taking) terhadap internalisasi dan pemahaman materi keagamaan. Menggunakan perspektif sosiologi pengetahuan Peter L. Berger penelitian ini menempatkan aktivitas mencatat bukan sekadar tugas mekanis, melainkan sebagai bagian dari proses konstruksi sosial kenyataan melalui dialektika eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam latar non-formal. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif observasional dan wawancara mendalam, penelitian ini menyelidiki beragam perilaku dokumentasi, termasuk transkripsi manual, perekaman digital, dan diskusi spontan antarjamaah. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa jamaah menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif dengan meringkas doktrin kompleks menjadi kata kunci sederhana dan memanfaatkan teknologi untuk penyimpanan konten secara langsung. Perilaku dokumentasi aktif ini berfungsi sebagai mediator penting dalam proses sosialisasi agama yang mengubah posisi jamaah dari pendengar pasif menjadi pengkonstruksi pengetahuan aktif. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa praktik mencatat merupakan ritual kognitif yang secara signifikan memperkuat struktur kognitif individu dan kolektif, sehingga berkontribusi pada pemeliharaan serta transmisi pemahaman agama di dalam komunitas masjid.

Abstract

Perubahan pola pencarian ilmu agama di era digital menjadi fenomena penting dalam studi Islam kontemporer, khususnya di kalangan Generasi Z. Generasi ini cenderung beralih dari pola tradisional, seperti menghadiri majelis taklim, menuju platform digital seperti YouTube, TikTok, dan podcast keislaman sebagai sumber utama pengetahuan agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pergeseran metodologi pencarian ilmu Islam tersebut melalui pendekatan metodologi studi Islam dan sosiologi agama. Kajian dilakukan dengan menelusuri faktor-faktor penyebab perubahan, bentuk-bentuk baru transmisi ilmu, serta implikasinya terhadap otentisitas dan kualitas pemahaman keagamaan Generasi Z. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis terhadap perilaku digital religius. Data diperoleh melalui studi literatur dan observasi pada berbagai konten keislaman digital. Hasil sementara menunjukkan bahwa transformasi ini didorong oleh perkembangan teknologi, perubahan gaya belajar, serta kebutuhan terhadap akses pengetahuan yang cepat dan praktis. Namun, pergeseran ini juga memunculkan tantangan baru seperti bias informasi, otoritas keilmuan yang kabur, serta kecenderungan konsumsi agama secara instan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami dinamika metodologi studi Islam di era digital dan relevansinya bagi pendidikan Islam di masa depan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in managing inclusive classrooms that include students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at SMP Asshiddiqiyah. The background of this research is based on the reality that PAI teachers face significant challenges in creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments, particularly because students with ADHD have specific characteristics such as difficulty maintaining attention, impulsive behavior, and a need for emotional-based approaches.This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, guidance and counseling (BK) teachers, and the school principal, as well as through observation and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that the strategies implemented by PAI teachers include adaptive lesson planning, adjustment of teaching methods and learning media, and flexible evaluation for students with ADHD. Classroom management is carried out through classroom atmosphere arrangement, intensive supervision, and active involvement of regular students, although it is constrained by the absence of a special education companion teacher (GPK). The dominant characteristics of students with ADHD include high distractibility, impulsive behavior, and dependence on emotional approaches. In practice, PAI teachers collaborate with BK teachers and receive support from the school principal, although such support remains limited.This study concludes that the effectiveness of PAI teachers’ strategies largely depends on their understanding of students’ characteristics, their ability to adapt instructional practices, and collaborative support from the school environment

Abstract

This article examines the nature of learners in Islamic education by highlighting their inherent potential, including fitrah, intellect, and spirituality, which must be developed holistically. Learners are viewed as active subjects who possess awareness, intention, and responsibility in the learning process. Islamic education emphasizes balanced intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development to shape the ideal human being (insan kamil). Understanding the nature of learners is essential for designing Islamic education that remains relevant to contemporary needs.
