Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the level of learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina before the application of video tutorial media, (2) the level of learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina after the application of video tutorial media, (3) the increase in learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina after the application of video tutorial media, (4) significant differences in learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina before and after the application of video tutorial media. This research is a pre-experiment research with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study were all 9th grade students of SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina, totaling 46 students. The sample of this study was selected using purposive sampling technique with a total of 23 students. The instrument in this study was a multiple choice test question. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and inferential. The results of this study can be concluded: (1) the initial ability of students' learning outcomes before the application of video tutorials in learning obtained an average value of 45.22 with a low category, (2) the ability of students' learning outcomes after the application of video tutorials in learning obtained an average value of 74.78 with a high category, (3) the increase in students' learning outcomes after the application of video tutorials in learning obtained N-Gain 0.53 with a medium category, and (4) there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students in class IX SMP IT Al-Biruni Mandiri Karantina before and after the application of video tutorial media.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) improvement in scientific literacy of seventh grade students who are taught with the STS approach and conventional approach, (2) the effect of the STS approach to the scientific literacy of seventh grade students. This research is a Quasi Experimentalusing a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all students of seventh grade at MTs YMPI. Sampling through purposive sampling technique and obtained VII E as an experimental class and VII D as a control class. The research instrument of learning outcomes test in the form of multiplechoice questions totaling 25 items. Data collection techniques in this study were by giving pretest and posttest. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of descriptive analysis are known that ability of scientific literacy in the experimental class taught using the STS approach obtained an average score of N-gain of 0.66 in the medium category and in the control class that was learned without using the STS approach of 0.48 in the medium category. The results of the inferential analysis obtained using the t-test (hypothesis test) showed that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so it can be concluded that the STM approach had an effect on improving the ability of scientific literacy student of seventh grade at MTs YMPI Rappang on subject matter Energy in the Living System.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of plasticine and video media on the learning outcomes of 8th graders on the Excretory System material. The type of research applied is classroom action research with 15 students in class 8B SMP Negeri 1 Kutasari. Video is used as a description of the problem that will be solved using the Probem Based Learning (PBL) model. Data collection was carried out using student learning outcomes with multiple choice items based on google form. The data collected was then analyzed by statistic qualitative descriptive analysis and obtained an average score of learning outcomes in the first cycle of 42.67. In the cycle I, plasticine was used to reconstruct the nephron model. In cycle 2 obtained an average score of 67.31 in this case an increase in the value of learning outcomes in cycle II when compared to cycle I. The increase also occurred in cycle III. The learning outcomes of the cycle III are 91.67. Classical completeness with KKM 70 in the cycle II is 20%, the cycle II is 46.67%, and the cycle III is 100%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the PBL model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of visual representation ability based on gender of students in class IX of State Junior High School in Panakkukang sub-district of Makassar City on static electricity and dynamic electricity material. The sample selected using the Slovin formula so that the sample in this study was 326 students who were randomly selected. The research instrument was in the form of a description question as many as 10 items. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the ability of visual representation based on gender of students in class IX of State Junior High School in Panakkukang sub-district of Makassar City on static electricity and dynamic electricity material, namely male and female students have an average value in the same category, namely moderate. The average value for male students is 42.80 with a medium category and female students have an average value of 42.52 with a medium category. Based on the ability category, female students are more dominant in the moderate to very high category, while men are more dominant in the low to high category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in questioning skills of prospective science teacher students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research was designed as a classroom action research which consisted of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was carried out in the Science Education Study Program, FMIPA UNM and the subjects of this research were students of the Program Studi Pendidikan IPA who took the IPA Sekolah 1 course in the 2022/2023 academic year. The data in this study can be in the form of qualitative data. Qualitative data in the form of learning journals made by students. The learning journal contains material conclusions, interesting things related to the material being taught, questions asked, and temporary answers to questions asked. The questions contained in the study journal are classified based on the Cognitive level of Bloom's Taxonomy and are analyzed quantitatively. In cycle I, student questions were directly answered by the subject lecturer. The results obtained were that the number of students who asked questions C1 was 20, C2 was 51, C3 was 25, C4 was 3, and there were no questions with cognitive levels C5 and C6. In cycle II, the questions posed by students were discussed and discussed by the students themselves, the course lecturer only served as a facilitator, so the number of questions at the cognitive level C1 was 6, C2 was 53, C3 was 11, C4 was 17, C5 was 7. Based on From these results, it can be concluded that the questioning skills of prospective science teacher students have increased.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the cathegory of learning outcomes of VIII grade students at MTsN 1 Mamuju who is teach using the problem posing learning model (2) the category of learning outcomes of VIII grade students at MTsN 1 Mamuju who is teach using conventional learning models. (3) whether there are an effects of the problem posing learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students at MTsN 1 Mamuju on the material of the human respiratory system. The type of research used in this study is a True Experimental Design research (True Experimental Design) and the design of this research plan is Posttest Only Control Design. The population of this study were all students in grade VIII at MTsN 1 Mamuju. The sample was selected using Simple Random Sampling technique and obtained class VIII.3 20 students and VIII.4 22 students. The research instrument was a learning outcome test question. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the study concluded: (1) The level of science learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTsN 1 Mamuju who is teach using the problem posing learning model is in the medium category with an average score of 11.18. (2) The level of science learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTsN 1 Mamuju who is teach using conventional learning is in the medium category with an average score of 9. (3) There are an effect of the problem posing learning model on the science learning outcomes of students in class VIII MTsN 1 Mamuju on the material of the human respiratory system.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experiment research that aims to determine: (1) The level of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar before and after the application of E-LKPD based on guided inquiry (2) The level of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar before and after the application of printed LKPD based on guided inquiry (3) The improvement of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar who are taught using E-LKPD based on guided inquiry (4). The effect of using E-LKPD based on guided inquiry on the science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar. This study used a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consists of 2 classes, namely class VIII3 and VIII4 each totaling 37 people. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that: (1) The level of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar before being applied was in the low category with a score of 7.38 and after being applied was in the medium category with a score of 16.97. (2) The level of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar before being applied was in the low category with a score of 6.88 and after being applied was in the medium category with a score of 13.37. (3) The improvement of science process skills of VIII grade students of SMPN 8 Makassar who applied E-LKPD based on guided inquiry was in the medium category with N-Gain 0.54. (4) Based on the results of inferential analysis that tcount> ttable on science process skills, namely 9.57> 1.29 so that there is an effect of E-LKPD based on guided inquiry on the science process skills of class VIII students of SMPN 8 Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) How high is the level of interest in learning of VII grade students of MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba who use wordwall-based game media and conventional media, 2) How high is the level of learning outcomes of class VII MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba who use wordwall-based game media and conventional media, 3) How high is the increase in science learning outcomes of class VII MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba students who use Wordwall-based game media and conventional media, 4) Is there an effect of using Wordwall-based game media on interest and science learning outcomes in class VII students of MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba. This type of research is quasi-experimental design research with a research design using Nonequivalent Control Group. The population of all VII grade students at MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba in the 2022/2023 academic year consisted of 8 classes with a total of 278 people. The sample was selected by purposive sampling with 2 classes, namely the experimental class (VII.1) totaling 23 and the control class (VII.2) totaling 22 people. The research instrument was a questionnaire of learning interest and a learning outcomes test. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of using wordwall-based game media on learning interest and science learning outcomes in class VII students of MTs Negeri 6 Bulukumba.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the learning outcomes of class IX science at SMP Negeri 5 Kotawaringin lama. This study uses a Problem Based Learning model. Data collection techniques were carried out with tests and non-tests, with data collection tools in the form of student activity observation sheets, teacher activity observation sheets, and final test sheets for each cycle. The procedures for implementing this research include: (1) planning, (2) implementing actions, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting in each cycle. The Student Activity Observation Sheet technique showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II and from cycle II to cycle III. The percentage of learning completeness in Cycle I was 68,75 %, Cycle II was 75.00 % and Cycle III was 93.75 %. The average learning outcomes in the first cycle is 72.43, the second cycle is 74.75 and the third cycle is 78.31. The results of the research above prove that the Problem Based Learning learning model can increase the learning outcomes of science class IX SMP Negeri 5 Kotawaringin lama.

Abstract

This research imed to: (1) To find out how high the level of understanding of the concept of learners after being taught through problem based learning, (2) To find out how high the level of understanding of the concept of learners after being taught through direct learning, (3) To find out whether there is influence of Problem based learning to understanding the concept of students of class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Pallangga Kab.Gowa (Study on the subject matter of temperature and heat materials) academic year 2017/2018. The research method used is Quasi-experiment method using Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study is the students of class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Pallangga Kab.Gowa in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018 consisting of ten classes with 120 students. The sample of this research as much as two classes of class VII.1 as experimental class and class VII.2 as a control class selected at random with the assumption that the whole class is homogeneous. Data collection techniques conducted in this study by using research instrument that is concept comprehension test and observation sheet model implementation. The tests used are pretest and posttest in the form of objective tests. The data obtained were processed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics for both classes. Based on the result of data analysis for experiment class get the average value equal to 34.43 in very high category and control class get average value equal to 32.23 in high. Based on the results of the research, it is found that (1) the level of understanding of the concepts of learners who are taught using problem based learning is very high, (2) the level of understanding of the concepts of learners who are taught using direct learning is high, (3) There is influence problem based learning to the understanding of the concept of students of class VII of SMP Negeri 4 Pallangga Kab.Gowa (Study on the subject matter of temperature and heat materials ) of academic year 2017/2018.
