Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The level of learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPN 4 Sungguminasa before and after the implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module (2) Improvement in learning outcomes of class VIII students after the implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module (3) The implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module can significantly improve learning outcomes in class VIII students (4) Significant similarities in improving learning outcomes of class VIII students taught with the implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module. This type of research is pre-experimental research and the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample was selected using the Purposive Sampling technique and obtained 56 students from 2 classes, namely class VIII A 26 people and VIII G 30 people. The instruments in this study were multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique was descriptive and inferential. The results of the analysis concluded: (1) The category of learning outcomes of class VIII students in the pretest obtained an average score of 10.69 in the medium category and the posttest obtained an average score of 18.42 in the high category. (2) The increase in learning outcomes of class VIII students after the implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module is in the medium category with an N-Gain of 0.54. (3) The implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module can significantly improve learning outcomes in class VIII students (4) There is a significant similarity in the improvement in learning outcomes of class VIII students taught with the implementation of the QR Code-assisted discovery learning module.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) The level of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students before and after the application of the guided inquiry learning model. 2) Improvement of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes before and after the application of the guided inquiry learning model. 3) Significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills and learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the guided inquiry learning model. This research is a pre-experimental research with a One Group Pretest- Posttest Design research design. The research population is all students of the State Junior High School 2 Pattallassang class consisting of 7 classes totaling 246 students. Sampling was done through the purposive sampling method from class VIII.1 with a total of 32 samples. The data collection technique in this study is by providing pretest and poststest. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that: 1) The level of critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of students scored an average critical thinking skill of 14.28 and learning outcomes of 6.90. After application with an average score of 16.83 critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of 6.80 were in the low category. 2) Improvement of students' critical thinking skills obtained with an average N-Gain of critical thinking skills of 0.09 and an average N-Gain of learning outcomes of -0.06, in the low category. 3) There is a significant increase in critical thinking skills, this can be seen from the data of the t-test results of critical thinking skills have a significant value of 0.03, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. And the Learning Outcomes did not significantly increase.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Describe how high the level of science process skills of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar, (2) Describe how high the level of science literacy ability of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar, (3) Describe the significant relationship between science process skills and science literacy ability of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar. This study is descriptive correlative with the population of all grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar which amounted to 296 while the sample amounted to 171. The instruments used are science process skills tests and science literacy ability tests on light matter and optical instruments in the form of multiple choice. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study obtained the science process skills of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar were in the low category with an average score of 8.80, the science literacy ability of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar is in the low category with an average score of 7.11 and there is a significant relationship between science process skills and science literacy ability of grade VIII students of SMPN 18 Makassar with pearson correlation of 0.458 which is included in the medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1)  Tingkat keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 Makassar sebelum dan setelah  menggunakan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code. 2) Mengukur peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 31 Makassar melalui penerapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code. 3) Terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan proses sains setelah penerapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 Makassar yang terdiri dari 7 kelas dengan total  217 orang, sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling, yaitu kelas VII B berjumlah 32. Data dikumpulkan melalui Pretest dan Posttest. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 1) Tingkat keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 Makassar sebelum penerapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code berada dalam kategori rendah, dengan skor rata-rata 8,25 dan setelah perapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code berada dalam kategori sedang, dengan skor rata-rata 13,87. 2) Peningkatan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 makassar setelah penerapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code termasuk dalam kategori sedang, dengan skor N-gain 0,46. 3) Penerapan LKPD inkuiri terstruktur berbantuan QR-Code secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 31 Makassar, dibuktikan dengan pengujian hipotesis dimana pada =9,01> =1,696.

Abstract

This research is a pre-experimental research.that aims to determine whether the use of the problem-based learning model has an effect or not on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 6/75 Wellulang. The research design used is a one-group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were all fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 6/75 Wellulang with a sample of 12 students selected using saturated sampling techniques. The data collection technique used was a multiple-choice test to determine students' science learning outcomes before and after the use of the problem-based learning model. The data analysis technique used was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, it was found that the pretest value of students' science learning outcomes was in the Sufficient category and the posttest value of students' science learning outcomes was in the Very High category. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis using paired samples test, it showed that the t-value of 8.749> t-table of 1.79588, which means there was a significant difference in the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 6/75 Wellulang before and after the use of the Problem Based Learning model. Because the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 6/75 Wellulang after the use of the Problem Based Learning model were higher than before the use of the Problem Based Learning model and there was a significant difference, it can be said that the use of the Problem Based Learning model had an effect on improving the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres 6/75 Wellulang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of the level of students' understanding of the human reproductive system material using the Problem Based Learning model which is carried out offline and online on class IX-A students of SMPN 2 Martapura. The type of this research is classroom action research with the research subjects being class IX-A students in the odd semester of 2021/2022 totaling 16 people. Based on the average pre-test score, it was 46.88 and the post-test was 81.75 for offline, while for online, the average pre-test was 64.25 and the post-test was 79.69. The results obtained showed an increase of 34.87 in offline learning and 15.44 in online learning. The completeness of learning outcomes classically in offline learning was 87.5% and in online learning 81.25%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that offline learning improves students' understanding more than online learning.

Abstract

This research aims: 1) To analyze the increase in learning outcomes of students who are taught using visual Flash Card media. 2) To analyze the increase in learning outcomes of students who are taught without using conventional media. 3) To test the learning outcomes of students who are taught to use higher Visual Flash Card Media than those taught without using Visual Flash Card Media. This research was a quasi-experimental research with a population of all grade VII students of SMPN 6 Dua Pitue consisting of 2 classes. The results showed that 1) Increased learning outcomes by using Visual Flash Card media for class VII students of SMPN 6 Dua Pitue belong to the high category with N-gain values of 0,59. 2) Increasing learning outcomes without using Visual Flash Card media for class VII students of SMPN 6 Dua Pitue in the medium category with N-gain values of 0,44. 3) Learning outcomes of students in class VII SMPN 6 Dua Pitue taught using Visual Flash Card media higher than students' learning outcomes taught without using Visual Flash Card media by thitung = 30,39 ttabel = 2,00247 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that Visual Flash Card media can use to improve students learning outcomes in abstract material such as the classification of living things.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a science learning framework based on Socio-Scientific Issues–Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (SSI-STREAM) in order to facilitate students' scientific literacy. The research method used is Qualitative Research Synthesis with four stages, namely determining the topic, searching the literature through a database using the keywords “Socio-scientific Issues”, “Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics”, and “Scientific Literacy”, extracting findings, and synthesizing the findings into a learning framework. The results of the study show that SSI is an authentic, controversial, debated issue and directly related to science content, making it relevant for use in science learning. The stages of SSI-based learning that have been synthesized include the presentation of SSI issues, analysis of SSI issues based on science content, the development of arguments in accordance with morals and ethics, and conclusion and evaluation. Meanwhile, the STREAM concept covers six main aspects: Science (understanding natural phenomena); Technology (using devices to obtain information); Reading, which focuses on text comprehension; Engineering (problem-solving skills); Arts (creativity, empathy, and concern); and Mathematics (measurement). Meanwhile, the synthesis of indicators on scientific literacy obtained two aspects, namely the competency aspect and the knowledge aspect. The competency aspect includes the ability to explain scientific issues, identify scientific issues, and design scientific investigations. The knowledge aspect includes content knowledge, procedural knowledge, and epistemic knowledge. Based on these findings, this study produced an SSI-STREAM learning framework that can be used to facilitate students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the level of learning outcomes of students before and after the application of Articulate storyline media assisted by the Discovery learning model (2) the increase in learning outcomes of VII grade students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa who are taught by applying Articulate storyline learning media assisted by the Discovery learning model (3) the application of Articulate storyline learning media assisted by the Discovery learning model can improve the learning outcomes of VII grade students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa on the material of the Solar system. This type of research is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Sungguminasa. The sample was selected by purposive sampling technique and obtained the experimental class VII.4 with a sample size of 31. The research instrument used was a learning outcome test question. Data collection techniques in this study by giving pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. The results of descriptive statistical analysis of pretest student learning outcomes were in the low category with an average pretest score of 6.29 and the posttest average was in the high category with an average posttest score of 13.93. The increase in student learning outcomes is in the medium category with an N-gain score of 0.56. The results of inferential statistical analysis showed that there was a significant increase in the average value of student learning outcomes after the application of Articulate Storyline media assisted by the Discovery learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine "How high is the level of collaboration skills of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 55 Makassar who are taught using the Quiz Team Type Active Learning Model". This type of research is Pre-Experimental Designs research and One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The population of this study was grade VIII.1 students at SMP Negeri 55 Makassar. The sample was selected by the Saturated Sampling technique and obtained class VIII.1 17 students as a class given treatment. The research instrument is in the form of a collaboration skills observation sheet consisting of 5 aspects of collaboration skill indicators. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results of the study concluded: The level of collaboration skills of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 55 Makassar who were taught using the Active Learning Model Quiz Team Type for the percentage of collaboration skill scores were 42.4% in the first meeting with the sufficient category, 48.2% in the second meeting with the sufficient category and 53.2% in the third meeting with the sufficient category.
