Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the context, input, process, and product program of the Muhammadiyah Suronatan elementary school health canteen program. This study is an evaluative study with the CIPP model. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The respondents of this study are the principal, the teacher in charge of the canteen, the canteen manager, and students. Some of the steps taken in data analysis include data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed four main components. First, the school canteen aims to provide safe, healthy, and nutritious food from the context aspect. Second, it is appropriate to improve students’ health through human resource support and adequate funds based on the input aspect. Third, the school has held clean and healthy living socialization for school residents based on the process aspect. Lastly, in terms of product, all the targets from the planned program have been achieved.

Abstract

Abstract: This study purpose is to describe the inculcation of character education at primary school. This research use qualitative descriptive approach. The subject is first grader SDN 3 Mangliawan, Malang. The data collection use observations, documentations, and interviews. The results showed that the inculcation of character education was integrated on lesson plan. These inculcated characters are religious, nationality, cooperation literacy, independent, and integrity. The teaching methods used are lectures, questions, assignments, games, and discussions. The shortcoming of the lesson plan is the literacy guidance and implementation that is under maximal. It is recommended to using relevant methods with primary school learners characteristics. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan penanaman pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I SDN 3 Mangliawan Kabupaten Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan dengan mengintegrasikannya dalam RPP. Nilai-nilai karakter yang ditanamkan yaitu religius, nasionalis, gotong royong, literasi, mandiri, dan integritas. Metode beajar yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, penugasan, permainan, dan diskusi. Kekurangan pada RPP adalah belum maksimalnya bimbingan dan pelaksanaan gerakan literasi. Disarankan penanaman pendidikan karakter di SD menggunakan metode yang relevan dengan karakteristik siswa.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce question card media based on google sites material for LCM and GCF grade IV Elementary Schools that are valid and interesting for students. The research model uses the ADDIE model with five stages of development including: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The product is a website link (https://sites.google.com/view/media-mathion-card/page-muka) which is online. Based on the validation results, the percentage of material experts is 85 percent (valid), the percentage of media experts is 96.67 percent (very valid), the percentage of teachers is 91.67 percent (very valid), and the student attractiveness test results are 93 percent (very good). So it was concluded that the mathion card media product was valid according to the experts and interesting for fourth grade students. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media kartu soal berbasis google sites materi KPK dan FPB kelas IV Sekolah Dasar yang valid dan menarik bagi siswa. Model penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE dengan lima tahap pengembangan meliputi: (1) analisis, (2) desain, (3) pengembangan, (4) implementasi, dan (5) evaluasi. Produk berupa link website (https://sites.google.com/view/media-mathion-card/halaman-muka) yang secara online. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, persentase ahli materi 85 persen (valid), persentase ahli media 96,67 persen (sangat valid), persentase guru 91,67 persen (sangat valid), dan hasil uji kemenarikan siswa sebesar 93 persen (sangat baik). Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa produk media mathion card valid menurut para ahli serta menarik bagi siswa kelas IV.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know style, type, leadership style, and leadership type that most dominant of headmasters of state primary schools, state junior and senior high school in Malang City. Quantitative approach with descriptive exploratory analysis design. Population (136) headmasters of state primary schools, state junior and senior high school in Malang City, sample of random sampling 41 people. Data collection techniques use questionnaire, factor analysis and descriptive. Outcome: (1) 5 types of leadership style, that is democratic, delegative, militaristic/autocratic, exploitative, and consultative, (2) leadership type that is administrative/executive, democratic, populist/nationalistic, charismatic and authoritarian/autocratic, (3) the most dominant democratic style the headmaster answered agree, the delegative style and consultative answer agreed, militaristic/autocratic style and exploitative less agree. (4) administrative/executive type, democratic, charismatic, and authoritarian, the most dominant principal responds agree, and populist/nationalistic type responds less agree. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian mengetahui gaya, tipe, gaya kepemimpinan paling dominan, dan tipe kepemimpinan paling dominan kepala sekolah SD, SMP, dan SMA Negeri Kota Malang. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan analisis deskriptif eksploratori. Populasi (136) orang kepala SD, SMP, dan SMA Negeri se-Kota Malang, sampel random sampling 41 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data angket, analisis faktor dan deskriptif. Hasil: (1) gaya kepemimpinan ada 5 macam yaitu demokratik, delegatif, militeristik/otokratis, eksploitatif, dan konsultatif, (2) tipe kepemimpinan yaitu administratif/eksekutif, demokratis, populistik/nasionalistik, karismatik, dan otoriter/otokratis, (3) gaya demokratik paling dominan kepala sekolah menjawab setuju, gaya delegatif dan konsultatif menjawab setuju, gaya militeristik/otokratis) dan eksploitatif kurang setuju, (4) tipe administrative/eksekutif), demokratik, karismatik, dan otoriter yang paling dominan kepala sekolah menjawab setuju, dan tipe populistik/nasionalistik) menjawab kurang setuju.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study is to describe intertwining characteristic or knowledge relations in realistic mathematics approach and what are teachers need to do in the mathematics learning process until the intertwining characteristic arise. The research development is applied in three phase. The data collection was done by observation and video recording during the learning process. Research objects are sixth-grade Elementary School students in Yogyakarta. The results of this study showed that the intertwining characteristic in realistic mathematics approach emphasizes a series of learning as a combination of learning series that must be used in problem-solving. Things that teachers should do is to create a series of problems that are explored and solved by students so mathematics formal language is well achieved. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik intertwining atau jalinan pengetahuan dalam pendekatan matematika realistik dan hal-hal yang perlu dilakukan guru dalam proses pembelajaran matematika hingga karakteristik intertwining muncul. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian pengembangan yang dibagi dalam tiga fase. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan dan perekaman video selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas 6 SD di Yogyakarta. Hasil yang didapatkan: karakteristik intertwining dalam pendekatan matematika realistik menekanan rangkaian pembelajaran sebagai suatu jalinan dari rangkaian pembelajaran yang harus dimanfaatkan dalam penyelesaian masalah. Hal-hal yang dilakukan guru untuk membentuk jalinan rangkaian pembelajaran adalah membuat rangkaian masalah yang dieksplorasi dan diselesaikan siswa hingga pengetahuan formal matematika dicapai dengan baik.

Abstract

Phonological awareness is an essential skill for children to learn to read. Most children with reading difficulties have problems with it. This article was written to describe phonological awareness skills in children with reading difficulties with a descriptive method. There were 31 students with reading difficulties were tested informally. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques and tabulation will define the result of their test. The results showed that there were 25 (81percent) students have problems with phonological awareness. It is indicated almost all students with reading difficulties cannot read with phonological awareness un-mastery. This theme opens up opportunities for further research on phonological awareness of language in primary schools given its importance in teaching reading in schools.

Abstract

Abstract: The research aimed to develop module of geometry learning with CTL approach in grade 4 and 5 primary school. The geometry learning module consists of two-dimensional figure and three-dimensional shape material. The development model used is divided into three phases as initial investigation, prototype, and assessment. The research instruments used validation sheets and questionnaires. The results showed that the product has reached valid criteria with score 3,65 (high criterion). Based on the validation result, the learning module of geometry with CTL approach for grade 4 and 5 primary school is declared valid and can be applied. Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan CTL di kelas IV dan V SD. Modul pembelajaran geometri terdiri dari materi bangun datar dan bangun ruang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan terbagi menjadi tiga fase yaitu investigasi awal, prototipe, dan asesmen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan lembar validasi dan angket respon ahli dan praktisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk modul pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan CTL telah memenuhi kriteria valid dengan ketercapaian validasi modul 3,65 (kriteria tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil validasi tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran geometri dengan pendekatan CTL untuk kelas IV dan V SD dinyatakan valid sehingga dapat diterapkan di SD.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at describing the process of writing the description, the results of writing description and described writing a description assessment. The approach of this study employed descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects are all second graders in SDN Pandanwangi 1 Malang. The data collection techniques were observation, documentation, and interviews. The result of this research indicated that the ability to write a description in second graders of SDN Pandanwangi 1 remains low. Only 46% of students were able to write a description of a total number of 39 students. Students who have not been able to write descriptions as much as 64%. The results of writing a description can be concluded that students who use capital letters and periods were 21 students, the students who wrote the text in accordance with the title were 32 students, the students who wrote the appropriate words were 32 students, and students who use effective sentence were 31 students. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses menulis deskripsi, hasil menulis deskripsi, dan mendeskripsikan penilaian menulis deskripsi. Pendekatan penelitan yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian seluruh siswa kels 2 SDN Pandanwangi 1 Kota Malang. Teknik pengumpulan data: observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan menulis deskripsi siswa kelas 2 Bintang SDN Pandanwangi 1 masih 46 % siswa yang mampu menulis deskripsi dari jumlah seluruhnya ada 39 siswa. Siswa yang belum mampu menulis deskripsi sebanyak 64%. Hasil menulis deskripsi dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan huruf besar dan tanda titik ada 21 siswa, siswa yang menulis teks sesuai dengan judul ada 32 siswa, siswa yang menulis kata dengan tepat ada 32 siswa, dan siswa yang menggunakan kalimat efektif ada 31 siswa.

Abstract

The implications of communication in the development of student discipline are very important to implement because good discipline is instilled at the elementary school level. This study aims to determine how communication is applied by the teacher and to find out what kind of discipline is developed in second-grade students. The method used is an interview instrument which is then validated using source triangulation. In addition, data collection in this study used observation and documentation instruments. The results of the study show that the communication applied by the teacher in learning includes verbal communication and non-verbal communication. In addition, there are several elements of communication carried out, namely: source, message, channel, communicant, and feedback. Discipline that develops in grade II students is coming on time to school, entering class on time after recess, carrying out tasks in learning, and dressing neatly according to applicable rules. Implikasi komunikasi dalam pengembangan kedisiplinan siswa sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan karena disiplin baik ditanamkan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana komunikasi yang diterapkan guru dan mengetahui kedisiplinan seperti apa yang berkembang pada diri siswa kelas II. Metode yang digunakan berupa instrumen wawancara yang kemudian divalidasi menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Selain itu pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrument observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan komunikasi yang diterapkan guru dalam pembelajaran antara lain: komunikasi verbal dan komunikasi non verbal. Selain itu terdapat beberapa elemen komunikasi yang dilakukan yaitu: sumber, pesan, saluran, komunikan, feedback. Kedisiplinan yang bekembang pada diri siswa kelas II yaitu: datang tepat waktu ke sekolah, masuk kelas tepat waktu selesai jam istirahat, melaksanakan tugas-tugas dalam pembelajaran, berpakaian rapi sesuai aturan yang berlaku.

Abstract

Abtract: The objectives of this study are to (1) obtain an objective description of local wisdom in the form of children folk song; (2) identify folk song within children’s game in Sumenep; and (3) examine children’s game folk song as a media to develop children’s character as well as the stimulus for the development of motoric, social emotional, cognitive, and language. This research is a qualitative design using ethnography. Children’s traditional games in Saronggi are ti`titti` liya` liyu`, ko-soko bucang, kotana mera, jang kolajang, cong-koncong konce. In addition, in West kerta Village the children games are Tan-Pangantanan and Pesapean Pappa while in Juruan Daya Village are Ker-Tanongker and Pa’ Opa’ Eling. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) memperoleh deskriptif objektif kearifan lokal permainan tradisional yang dinyanyikan anak-anak; (2) mengidentifikasi permianan tradisional yang dinyanyikan di Sumenep; dan (3) mengkaji permainan tradisional yang dinyanyikan sebagai media pembentukan karakter anak sekaligus sebagai stimulus perkembangan fisik motorik, sosial emosional, kognitif dan bahasa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif jenis etnografi. Permainan anak tradisional yang terdapat di Desa Saronggi adalah ti`titti` liya` liyu`, ko-soko bucang, kotana mera, jang kolajang, cong-koncong konce. Permainan anak tradisional lainnya seperti Tan-Pangantanan dan Pesapean Pappa terdapat di Desa Kerta Barat dan permainan Ker-Tanongker dan Pa’ Opa’ Eling terdapat di Desa Juruan Daya.
