Abstract

This article discusses Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model, particularly on the striking and fielding classification. It begins with the meaning of striking/fielding games, which includes attacking activities by striking, batting, kicking, or hitting the ball, and also such activities as catching and throwing the ball as a result of the hitting, striking, or kicking. Another name of this game is run-scoring games, which means a game done by running in order to score. Furthermore, this article also presents the components which are noteworthy in the teaching and learning striking/fielding games. The games that can be classified as striking/ fielding games are softball, baseball, rounder, cricket, kickball, and kasti. This article focuses more on softball rather than other striking/fielding games. The reference in teaching softball is in line with striking/fielding games teaching framework covering the tactical problems and the level. Teaching model for softball should closely pay attention on these tactical problems, which are: scoring and also levels of complexity, from simple to more complex, to the real game. Abstract

Abstract This action research was aimed to improve the learning quality of the physical education by using the audiovisual media in SMPN 1 Kalasan, Sleman in the academic year of 2005-2006. The subject of the research was the students of grade VII D SMPN 1 Kalasan. The number of the students was 38 students, consisted of 17 male and 21 female in the academic year of 2005-2006. The subject matter of learning is shooting in basket ball. The techniques of the data collection of the research were questionnaire, interview, and observation, while the technique of the data analysis of the research was descriptive. The result of research showed that implementation of audiovisual media by DVD can improve the students appreciation in learning as well as enhance the students learning performance. The suggestions to be considered are the need of implementing the audiovisual as media learning in large scope and different subject matter. The school needs special class for audiovisual media. Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan tidak hanya mencakup kurikulum sekolah, namun juga mencakup berbagai aspek yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi generasi muda dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan masa depan. Ekstrakurikuler panahan bagi pelajar diharapkan dapat turut memberikan kontribusi dalam membentuk pelajar sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah menjadi generasi yang tangguh, sehat secara fisik dan memiliki logika serta nalar yang baik untuk menyerap berbagai hal yang positif yang ada di sekitarnya. Fungsi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler antara lain (a) pengembangan, (b) sosial, (c) rekreatif, dan (d) persiapan karir. Pembentukan karakter bangsa merupakan sangat penting bagi generasi muda dan menentukan nasib bangsa di masa depan. Generasi muda perlu memiliki mental kepribadian yang kuat, bersemangat, ulet, pantang menyerah, disiplin, inovatif dan bekerja keras untuk menjadikan bangsanya menjadi bangsa yang memiliki daya saing tinggi, sehingga dapat berada sejajar dengan bangsa-bangsa lain. Pembentukan karakter bangsa dapat dilakukan melalui ekstrakurikuler panahan seperti: ketika memanah, seorang pemanah harus benar-benar dapat menguasai atau mengendalikan emosinya karena stabilitas emosi sangat berpengaruh terhadap pencapaian skor. Cuaca, kelembaban udara, terpaan angin merupakan tantangan yang harus ditaklukan pada saat memanah. Pemanah harus mengambil keputusan yang tepat sesaat sebelum melepaskan panahnya ke sasaran ketika terjadi angin. Sistem penilaian dalam panahan juga mengajarkan pemanah untuk jujur karena skoring tidak dilakukan oleh wasit atau juri, tetapi dilakukan sendiri oleh pemanah Kata kunci: karakter, panahan

Abstract

This paper endeavor to describe gymnastics learning in Elementary school through dominant motion patterns and teaching style approach. Gymnastics learning is one of the course taught in physical education, sport, and health. Gymnastics learning aimed for developing students cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Gymnastics learning in elementary school can be taught through dominant motion patterns and teaching style. Dominant motion pattern approach can be applied to gymnastics learning method based on gymnastics dominant movements series. Teaching style is a learning method which is developed from teacher centered to student centered. The use of the dominant motion patterns and learning style approach is expected to make gymnastics learning in elementary school become more active and enjoyable for students. Abstract

The target of this research was to know the profile of interest of instructor practice gymnastic aerobic in Town Bandung. Research method used in this research was descriptive method as a mean to depict an event at the time of now which look in a situation. In this research, data obtained to be collected, compiled, explained, and analyzed to specify conclusion, because this research wish to express problem that happened at a period to now that is instructor interest profile practice gymnastic aerobic. The population and sample of research of taken as source of information of teachers of physical education exercising gymnastic of aerobic center Fitness of Hotel Jayakarta, Majesty and Bikasoga Bandung. Research instrument in this research is questionnaire to measure instructor interest practice gymnastic aerobic. Enumeration and data processing use percentage technique. As for result of its enumeration shall be as follows: sub of cognate variable own score equal to 1605 or 71.33% from ideal score, affective own score equal to 1480 or 70.48% from ideal score, and psychomotor own score equal to 2658 or 70.88% from ideal score. Its conclusion is profile of interest of instructor practice gymnastic aerobic in Town Bandung earn indication through sub of cognate variable. While other aspect are psychomotor and affective. Matter this means to know interest of instructor practice gymnastic aerobic in Town of Bandung earn seemly its cognate ability later on ability of psychomotor and affective. Pursuant to result of processing and data analyses, hence conclusion from result of this research either through public and also special: “profile of Interest of instructor practice gymnastic aerobic in Town of Bandung is included in good criterion.” This matter relied on acquirement of score of actual equal to 5743 or 70.90% from ideal score Kata kunci: instruktur, senam aerobic, guru penjas.

Abstract

Games are one of the physical education contents. Invasion games such as soccer-like and basketball- like games are the materials taught at elementary level. The learning process of invasion games can be done through various approaches. Tactical approach is one of approaches in teaching invasion games. Tactical approach is an approach emphasizing on the games and skill learning in game situation. Tactical awareness and problem solving in the games is the key in the tactical approach. The steps in invasion games teaching using the tactical approach are; (1) game form, (2) tactical awareness (what to do), (3) skill execution (how to do). Teaching invasion games need to be based in the framework and the levels of complexities of the games which have previously been determined. Games learning through tactical approach encourage and demand students to solve tactical problems in the games. Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Taktik, Pembelajaran Invasion Games, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peranan yang dilakukan oleh guru Pendidikan Jasmani dalam meningkatkan Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah di SMP Negeri se- Kabupaten Sleman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan metode survai dengan teknik pengambilan datanya berupa angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Pendidikan Jasmani di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Sleman. Jumlah guru pendidikan jasmani tersebut sebanyak 38 orang, seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian dengan teknik total sampling. Uji Validitas Instrumen menggunakan rumus Product Momen dari Karl Pearson dan uji Reliabilitas Instrumen menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Peranan guru pendidikan jasmani terhadap pelaksanaan unit kesehatan sekolah di SMP negeri Se-Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta adalah sedang, dengan rincian: sebanyak 0 guru (0,00%) dengan kategori sangat baik, 16 guru (42,00%) dengan kategori baik, 10 guru (26,00%) dengan kategori sedang, 9 orang guru (24,00%) dengan kategori kurang, dan 3 guru (8,00%) dengan kategori sangat kurang. Abstract

This paper was inspired by the emergence of Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) as one of approaches in physical education learning founded by Bunker and Thorpe. TGfU needs to be developed in order to better school physical education. Better understanding and basic concept on the TGfU should be posessed by physical education teachers to ensure the appropriateness and the advantages in the practice. This article describes TGfU as a newly approach in physical education, basic concept, and various perspectives on TGfU. The explaination and presentation using various figures and table would help the readers to better understand about TGfU. Abstract

Upaya optimalisasi proses pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi proses dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai dasar pengembangan buku ajar. Selain faktor-faktor yang bersifat eksternal (buku ajar), faktor-faktor internal pun tidak bisa dikesampingkan peran pentingnya. Sehingga diharapkan faktor internal dan eksternal mampu saling mendukung. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode 4D (define, design, develope, disseminate) dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan menggunakan N Gain Score untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan buku ajar tersebut. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan wawancara, angket validas ahli materi, media, dan bahasa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar ini dikategorikan valid dan layak dengan predikat sangat bagus dengan nilai validasi 87,5% (aspek materi), 85 % (aspek bahasa) dan 87,5 % (aspek media). Buku ajar ini terbukti memberi kontribusi atas peningkatan motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan nilai N-Gain Score 0,55 dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan nilai N-Gain Score 0,68. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan buku ajar Psikologi Olahraga berbasis androin ini dapat meningkatka motivasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Institut Keguruan Ilmu Pendidikan Budi Utomo Malang. Development of android-based sports psychology teaching book to improve student learning motivation and critical thinking ability AbstractEfforts to optimize the learning process can be done by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process by utilizing technology as the basis for developing teaching book. In addition to external factors (teaching book), internal factors cannot be ruled out as important. It is hoped that internal and external factors can support each other. This research is expected to be able to improve student motivation and critical thinking skills. This study uses the 4D method (define, design, develop, disseminate) using quantitative descriptive analysis and using the N Gain Score to determine the effectiveness of the use of the teaching book. Research instruments in the form of observation and interview sheets, validity questionnaire material experts, media, and language. The results of this study indicate that this textbook is categorized as valid and feasible with a very good predicate with a validation value of 87.5% (material aspects), 85% (language aspects), and 87.5% (media aspects). This textbook is proven to contribute to the improvement of students' learning motivation with an N-Gain Score of 0.55 and a critical thinking ability of students with an N-Gain Score of 0.68. So it can be concluded that the development of this android-based Sports Psychology textbook can improve learning motivation and critical thinking skills of students at the Budi Utomo Institute of Teacher Training in Malang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat mahasiswa Pendidikan Olahraga Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta saat Pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan pengambilan data menggunakan aplikasi google form. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga angkatan 2016-2019. Penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan maka dihasilkan sampel dengan jumlah 425 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan persentase. Simpulan penelitian ini dinyatakan bahwa perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga UNY saat pandemi Covid-19 pada kategori sangat tinggi terdapat 33 mahasiswa (7,76%), kategori tinggi terdapat 79 mahasiswa (18,59%), kategori cukup terdapat 126 mahasiswa (29,65%), kategori rendah terdapat 89 mahasiswa (20,94), dan kategori sangat rendah terdapat 98 mahasiswa (23,06%). Clean and healthy life behavior of Yogyakarta State University sports education students during the Covid-19 pandemic AbstractThis study aims to analyze the level of clean and healthy living habits of students majoring in Sports Education, Yogyakarta State University during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The method used in this research is a survey with quantitative descriptive research type. The instrument used was a questionnaire and data collection using the google form application. The study population was students of the Department of Sports Education, class 2016-2019. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling. Based on the specified criteria, a sample of 425 students was generated. Data analysis techniques using percentages. The conclusion of this study stated that the clean and healthy lifestyle of the students of the Department of Sports Education at YSU during the Covid-19 pandemic in the very high category there were 33 students (7.76%), in the high category there were 79 students (18.59%), there were 126 sufficient categories. students (29.65%), in the low category there were 89 students (20.94), and in the very low category, there were 98 students (23.06%).
