Abstract

Social, cultural and religious diversity are characteristics of Indonesian society that call for the strengthening of tolerance through education. However, learning in schools still tends to be normative and cognitively oriented, meaning that the development of tolerance among pupils has not yet been optimal. This study aims to develop a hypothetical model of multicultural problem-based learning as a basis for fostering tolerance among pupils. This study employs a research and development approach within the framework of Educational Design Research. The research stages include needs analysis, the design of a hypothetical model, and conceptual validation through expert assessment. Data were collected through literature review, interviews, limited observation, and validation sheets, and were subsequently analysed using qualitative descriptive methods. The results indicate that the developed hypothetical model integrates problem-based learning principles with a multicultural context through structured learning syntax and mechanisms for the internalisation of tolerance values. This model is deemed conceptually sound and relevant as a foundation for the development of contextual and sustainable tolerance education.

Abstract

Self-confidence is one of the affective factors that influences students’ success in learning mathematics. Low self-confidence causes students to be less active, hesitant in expressing opinions, and to experience difficulties in solving mathematical problems. This study aims to analyze the effect of self-confidence on the mathematical ability of fifth-grade students at MI Darus Sholeh. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of MI Darus Sholeh. Data collection techniques were carried out using a self-confidence questionnaire and a mathematical ability test which included indicators of understanding the problem, planning the solution, implementing the plan, and interpreting the results. The data were analyzed using simple regression analysis to determine the effect of self-confidence on students’ mathematical ability. The results showed that self-confidence had a positive effect on students’ mathematical ability. Students with high levels of self-confidence tended to be more active, willing to try, and able to solve mathematical problems well. Conversely, students with low self-confidence experienced difficulties in understanding concepts and solving problems. These findings indicate that improving self-confidence is an important factor in enhancing students’ mathematical ability.

Abstract

Learning about building space at the elementary school level still requires tools that can help students understand concepts in a real and visual way, so that they can strengthen their understanding of numeracy. This study aims to explain the process of developing Flash Card learning tools supported by Augmented Reality in building materials in grade V elementary schools, assess the level of media feasibility based on assessments from material experts and media experts, and evaluate the level of media practicality based on student responses. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model (Define, design, Develop, and Disseminate), and involves subjects in the form of teachers and grade V students. The results of the study show that this media is very suitable for use with a validation rate of material experts reaching 89% and media experts reaching 86%. The level of practicality also showed very positive results based on responses from students in the small group of 90.5% and the large group of 88.61%. The conclusion of this study is that Flash Card media supported by Augmented Reality is very feasible and practical to be used as a means of learning in improving students' spatial visualization interactively.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a metaverse-based learning media product assisted by the Spatial application on bilateral cooperation material in grade VI of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya. This learning media was developed using the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The validation results carried out by three validators showed that the developed learning media obtained an average score of 94.82% which is categorized as very feasible and valid for use in the implementation stage. Then, a practicality test was conducted by giving a questionnaire to 25 grade VI students. The results of the practicality test showed that the total score obtained was 248 out of a maximum score of 250 with a percentage of 99.2%, which is included in the very practical category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the metaverse-based learning media assisted by the Spatial application is feasible to be used in the learning process on bilateral cooperation material in grade VI of SD Negeri 11 Indralaya.
