Abstract

The success in the competitive world of business will be fulfilled by creating and maintainingconsumers, because the strategies used are to build customer loyalty. Customer loyalty is a real phenomenonthat is constantly pursued by any company to maintain the existence of its business. This study aimed todetermine the impact of communication, trust, commitment, and problem resolution toward the lifetime valueeither partially or simultaneously. The type of this research is associative research in order to discover therelationship between variables, in addi tion to test the hypothesis, then taken sample of 100 members of PT.Sophie Martin Business Centre Semarang as respondents using slovin formulas and simple random samplingtechniques. Data was analysed by validity data analysis techniques, reliability test , regression, t and F test. Thecalculation results of multiple linear regression can be indicated by Y = 2.908 + 0, 253X1 + 0, 270X2 + 0,036X3 + 0, 025X4. Partially the influence of trust to the lifetime value is 46.4%, the commitment to the lifetimevalue is 56.3%, the communication to the lifetime value of 65.5% and the problem resolution to the lifetimevalue of 21.6%. Simultaneously the impact of trust, commitment, communication, and problem resolution tolifetime value amounted to 35.4%. To increase the lifetime value, companies must define service standards,accept criticism and suggestions from members, conduct gatherings, optimize the use of technology, and solvethe problem with the win-win solution principle.

Abstract

Matahari Department Store is one of the modern retailers providing various fashion products for middle-class consumers. MDS Java Mall Semarang in the past three years there was fluctuation in sales. This study aimed to determine the influence of Lifestyle consumers and in store promotion on impulse buying in MDS Java Mall. The type of research was explanatory research and the total sample is 100 respondents. The data collection used were questionnaires with Likert measurement scale. The data analysis methods used were validity and reliability test, correlation coefficient(R), regression test, determination coefficient(R2), significance of t test and F test with SPSS 21.0 application. The results showed a positive and significant influence between lifestyle and in store promotion on impulse buying for consumers of MDS Java Mall, both partially and simultaneously. The variabel of Lifestyle had the greatest influence on impulse buying which was equal to 27.5% while in store promotion was 20%. Companies need to follow the development of consumer lifestyle and provide quality, branded and complete products. In store promotion can be improved by structuring the display of products to make it more attractive and make consumers easier in choosing products and by cooperating with more banks or payment applications that provide big discounts with easier terms.

Abstract

Promotions and reference groups believed to increase the intensity of saving customers. This study aims to determine how strong the effect of promotions and group reference to saving decision saving customer simpedes at PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk Branch Office Brigjen Sudiarto Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research. The study population was all customers savings simpedes PT. BRI (Persero) Tbk Branch Office Brigjen Sudiarto Semarang in 2013, while the number of samples is set just 100 respondents were selected using incidental sampling technique. Collecting data using interview techniques and research instrument was a questionnaire. Research data analysis using statistical analysis using SPSS for Windows version 16.0.

Abstract

The business sector that is being highlighted by its development is Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). It is a cooperative institution as a micro finance institution that actively participates in the effort to enhance the quality of community life, one of which is implemented by helping UMKM from capital or financing side. Sharia Financial Services Cooperative (KJKS) or the term commonly called Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) is a cooperative whose business activities are engaged in financing, investment, and savings in accordance with the pattern of profit sharing (syariah) based on the principle of kinship.This type of research is case study with data collection method by designating key informant from BMT. The Object in this study BMT Syariah Ar Rahmah by measuring its performance with balanced scorecard method consisting of 4 perspectives namely, financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business perspective and learning and growth perspective.Based on the results of the research shows that the customer perspective has the lowest score compared to 3 other perspectives. This shows the gap between the realization with the target that has been declared. Based on this study concluded that the performance of BMT with balanced scorecard get score 123.86 including having a healthy performance because it exceeds the upper limit of score classification.However, there is a gap in the perspective of customer perspective scores with other perspectives with a score of only 6.61 which includes a very not healthy, researchers recommend BMT to pay attention to more factors member that is collecting a lot of members each year and retain existing members

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of training and working environment of the employees' performance of PT. Nyonya Meneer Semarang. Type of research is explanatory research with sample size about 85 employees at the staff. The data were analyzed quantitatively by Simple Linear Regression, Multiple Linear Regression, Z test and F test were performed with SPSS version 11.0, and also performed a qualitative analysis. Training which include: communication training, customer service training, salesmanship training, training in the discussion of consumer protection laws and training on the implementation of policy. Results and discussion of the studies suggest that there is a significant relationship between training and job performance that is equal to 37.4%, which means the training factor determining employee performance by 37.4%. Z test of significance test is known that the value of z 4.715 count is greater than z table is 1.96, which means there is a positive effect between training and job performance, which means any improvements to the training will affect job performance in the same direction. While the work environment include: air temperature, noise, cleanliness, scientific equipment, lighting horizontal and vertical relationships between superiors and subordinates, aspires freedom and responsibility appropriate authority. From the results and discussion stated that there is a significant relationship between work environment with job performance that is equal to 45.3%, which means the work environment factors determining employee performance by 45.3%. While the z test of significance test is known that the value of z 4.064 count is greater than z table is 1.96, which means there is a positive influence between work environment and job performance, which means that changes in working towards environmental improvements that will positively affect work performance in the same direction. training variables and the work environment positive effect on employees 'performance by 53.5%, which means that 53.5% of employees' performance is determined by training and work environment factors.

Abstract

In order to keep the existence and continuity of a company, surely in its operations, the company needs to focus on the customer under the terms demanded by customers internally and externally in terms of customers' satisfaction. Relating to the quality aspects, a standardization of the management is required in order to maintain company's performance to produces quality products and services, and increase the productivity of the company in an efficient manner, namely ISO 9001: 2008. One of the companies that implement ISO 9001: 2008 is PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Semarang. Employees' performance data of PT. Indofood is fluctuating so it needs to be re-assess through this research. This research aims to determine the effect of training, working environment, and infrastructure towards employee performance at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Semarang. Data collecting methods used in this research was probability sampling with 109 employees as data samples. Datas analysis were quantitative analysis using SPSS program version of 17.0. The analysis method used were correlation test, determination, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, T-test and F-test. The results of the research showed that there are positive and significant effects between training, working environment, and infrastructure towards employee performance at PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Semarang either partially or simultaneously. Variable training has the highest effect towards employee performance in PT. Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk Semarang compared to working environment and infrastructure. Training can be enhanced by increasing internal training conduciveness and additional facilities. Working environment can be improved by rearranging the layout of employees’ room. In addition, the infrastructure can be improved by increasing the availability of technology and a special user guidance of technology provided by the company formally.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the needs of consumers of healthy beverage products are increasing. Healthy beverage products are foods and drinks without any containning harmful ingredients, which is not contain preservatives and also be free of substances that trigger cancer. In addition, these foods and drinks containning less sugar. There are several factors that cause the sales of healthy beverage products are inconsistent, there are price and promotion. The purpose of this study is to determine influencing consumers to make purchasing decisions healthy beverage products by the price and promotion factor. The type of this study is explanatory research. The technique of sampling is including nonprobability sampling that is purposive sampling. The sample in this study is 100 respondents who are consumers of healthy beverage products in Semarang City. Measurement of scale is using Likert scale. In this analysis used factor analysis with the help of SPSS 20.Based on the results of the analysis, price and promotion variables have an influence on purchasing decision of healthy beverage product. Price variable has the biggest influence that is 47,6%. Promotion variable has an effect of 35.5%. The conclusion of this research shows that price and promotion can influence consumer in making decision of purchasing healthy beverage product. Based on these results manufacturers healthy beverage, such as Yeah! and Sina should set the price of healthy beverage products in accordance with the benefits given, the price is not too high to be consumed every day, advertising messages more clear and interesting, and the promotion should be done more intensively so it is easier to find consumers.

Abstract

This research purpose to find out the effect of placement and compensation on employee performance through employee satisfaction remains at PT. BRI branch Pattimura Semarang. This type of research is explanatory. The number of samples taken were 47 respondents to the purposive sampling method with the criteria of all permanent employees. Collecting data using questionnaires, interviews, library research. Hypothesis testing using statistical analysis includes correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, t-test, and F test results of this study show that employment has no effect on job satisfaction of 25.2%, while the compensation has no influence on job satisfaction, job placement has influence on employee performance by 19.2%, compensation has an influence on the performance of employees by 8.8%, and job satisfaction affects the employee's performance of 38.1%. Then the job placement and compensation together have an influence on job satisfaction at 34.2%, and job placement, compensation, and job satisfaction jointly affect the performance of 52.2%.

Abstract

Low employee commitment causes negative effect to a company. With a low commitment, the employee is not dedicated, has the potential to make mistakes, disappoint customers and intending to leave the company. Work commitment of the employee in Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang has fluctuated, it can be seen from the data of performance appraisal employee.This purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variable compensation and career development on the employees work commitment on Patra Jasa Convention Hotel Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research. The sample used 60 respondents who are permanent employees and contract employees. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Methods of data analysis using correlation, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and f with IBM SPSS program 20. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the compensation and career development positively affects the work commitment through testing simple linear regression produce regression value of 0.969 and 0.776. The advice given to the company are to evaluate the compensation system and to provide greater career opportunities to employees, especially in providing promotions and job rotation.

Abstract

Nowadays there a lot of new businesses that offering services, one of them is  washing shoes sevices. Today's shoe washing services are much more modern. This business exists, is inseparable from the consumptive nature of the society for his interest in the type of kats or sneakers. Seeing the enthusiasm of the community for their interest in caring for shoes, it makes a business opportunity for business people to start businesses in this field. Clean Your Shoes is a pioneer in shoes care and washing services in Semarang. There are several factors that influence the choice of consumers to buy a service, including service quality, price, and word of mouth. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality, price, and word of mouth on the decision to use Clean Your Shoes services (case study on service users of Clean Your Shoes in Tembalang, Semarang). This type of research is explanatory research. The sampling techniques used are incidental sampling and purposive sampling. The number of samples taken was 100 respondents, who are users of Clean Your Shoes Tembalang, Semarang. The research that is used to determine the effect of service quality and price on purchase decisions will present statistics with the help of IBM SPSS version 21.0. The result of this research shows that service quality affected the decision to use services by contributing 57.1%, price affects the decision on the use of services by contributing 43.2%, and word of mouth affects the decision for the use of services by contributing 34.2%. Whereas, service quality, price, and word of mouth simultaneously influence the decision to use services by contributing 61.82%. While the rest is influenced by other factors besides service quality, price, and word of mouth. Based on the calculation of the F Test shows that there is a significant influence between service quality, price, and word of mouth on the decision to use the service.
