Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of social media in shaping adolescents' religious behavior through a literature review using  the scoping review method. Data were collected from three relevant Sinta-indexed journal articles that were selected with the focus of the study, namely the influence of social media on religious understanding, religious attitudes, and religious practices of adolescents. The results of the study show that social media, especially YouTube, Instagram, and other digital platforms, has a positive impact in the form of easy access to da'wah content, increasing religious insight, and strengthening the values of monotheism, worship, and morals. However, social media also has negative impacts such as decreased religious responsibility, weak self-control, and even deviant behavior tendencies. Factors of religious education and environmental assistance play an important role in determining the quality of social media use by adolescents. Thus, a strategy that combines comprehensive religious understanding, Islamic digital literacy, and parental and teacher assistance is needed so that social media can be used as a positive means of strengthening adolescent religiosity.

Abstract

Modern education faces complex challenges from globalization, digital technology development, and increasing demands for human resource quality that require leadership capable of navigating rapid change and creating an adaptive organizational culture. This study examines the integration of transformational and transactional leadership in the context of education as a response to these complexities. Transformational leadership focuses on changing values, vision, and inspiration through the dimensions of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Meanwhile, transactional leadership emphasizes the principle of reward and punishment-based exchange to maintain discipline and achieve minimum standards. This study uses a comparative literature review design with a systematic qualitative approach, analyzing journal articles from 2020-2025 from the Google Scholar, ERIC, and Portal Garuda databases. Data analysis was conducted through reflexive thematic analysis in three stages: data familiarization and systematic coding, comparative thematic analysis, and interpretive synthesis using a meta-ethnography approach with the help of NVivo software. The results show that effective transformational leadership creates a dynamic learning culture, increases intrinsic motivation, encourages innovation, and develops social-emotional aspects. Transactional leadership provides operational structure, management efficiency, and the achievement of short-term standards. The integration of both styles creates optimal synergy that balances innovation with organizational stability. Hybrid leadership has been proven to improve teacher performance, job satisfaction, and student academic outcomes, especially in the digital era that demands high adaptability. The study concludes that educational leaders need to develop adaptive skills to apply both approaches situationally to meet the unique needs of educational institutions and achieve sustainable excellence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of sharia values into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning with an entrepreneurship-based approach in formal educational settings. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores how sharia principles—such as honesty, trustworthiness, hard work, and social responsibility—can be applied in learning activities that foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit. The results indicate that a PAI learning model integrated with sharia values and entrepreneurial contexts not only enhances students’ religious understanding but also develops independent, ethical, and socially beneficial character traits. The findings recommend the development of a curriculum that integrates religious competence and life skills based on the sharia economic framework to prepare students for global challenges

Abstract

Subjective happiness is an important psychological construct that influences individual well-being comprehensively. This study aims to adapt the Subjective Happiness Scale into Indonesian and examine its construct validity and reliability using Confirmatory Factor Analysis method. Research participants involved 220 university students from various higher education institutions in Indonesia with age range 18-25 years selected through convenience sampling. The adaptation process was conducted systematically through forward translation, back translation, profesional judgement, and cognitive interview stages to ensure semantic, conceptual, and cultural equivalence. The adapted instrument consists of four items measuring individual global happiness using seven-point Likert scale. Analysis results showed satisfactory reliability with Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.715 and all items had item-total correlation ranging from 0,781-0,947. CFA analysis confirmed unidimensional structure with excellent goodness of fit indices after model modification, namely CFI = 0.998, RMSEA = 0.030, and SRMR = 0.017. All items had significant factor loadings ranging from 0,781-0,947 with t-values above 1.96, indicating strong validity. No items were eliminated as all items met the required psychometric criteria. These findings confirm that the Indonesian version of Subjective Happiness Scale has robust psychometric properties and can be used as a valid, reliable, and efficient instrument for measuring subjective happiness for various research purposes and practical applications in Indonesian context.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the need for interactive and engaging learning media to help second-grade students understand the concept of whole numbers. Mathematics learning in lower grades is often delivered through conventional methods, which can make students easily bored and less motivated. The use of digital tools such as Wordwall is expected to create a more enjoyable, participatory, and student-centered learning atmosphere. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants were second-grade students at SD Negeri Balonggemek 1. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Validation by media and material experts was conducted to assess the feasibility of the developed product. The results indicated that the Wordwall-based learning media was highly feasible, with an average validation score above 90%. The practicality test showed that both teachers and students found the media easy to use and engaging, achieving an attractiveness level of 94.3%. In addition, students’ learning outcomes improved significantly after using the media, as seen from the increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results. In conclusion, the Wordwall learning media for whole numbers material is effective for use in second-grade mathematics learning. It not only improves students’ conceptual understanding but also enhances their enthusiasm and motivation to learn actively.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum in cultivating eco-theological values among students. The environmental crisis today is not only ecological in nature but also rooted in moral and spiritual dimensions. In the context of Islamic education, humans are entrusted as khalifah fil-ardh guardians of the earth responsible for maintaining harmony and sustainability in nature. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a library research method, with data collected from academic journals, textbooks, and curriculum documents. The analysis emphasizes the curriculum’s potential to integrate eco-theological principles into learning processes. The findings reveal that the PAI curriculum can effectively embed eco-theological values through the integration of teaching materials, the habituation of environmentally conscious behavior, and project-based learning that nurtures Islamic ecological responsibility. Furthermore, the Merdeka Curriculum offers broader opportunities for developing faith-based and virtuous character education that includes environmental care as a form of devotion to Allah SWT. The implications highlight that incorporating eco-theology into Islamic Education strengthens moral and ecological awareness while supporting sustainable educational practices. This paper includes 42 scholarly references, along with supplementary tables and conceptual illustrations.

Abstract

Religious tourism in Indonesia is a socio-religious phenomenon that integrates Islamic spiritual values with local cultural traditions. In the context of Islam Nusantara, pilgrimage practices and religious rituals function as a means of cultural preservation as well as the formation of public ethics. The development of modern tourism then presented ethical challenges, such as the commercialization of religious sites and shifts in spiritual meaning. This research aims to analyze the form of religious tourism practices in Solo Raya, examine the principles of Islamic ethics implemented in pilgrimage and religious activities, and formulate a contextual and sustainable framework for Islamic religious tourism in the Nusantara. The research uses a qualitative approach through participatory observation, interviews, and document analysis. The research locations include five main sites: the Tomb of Sunan Pandanaran (Klaten), the Tomb of Mbah Sirodj (Solo), the Tomb of Yosodipuro (Boyolali), the Riyadh Mosque Tomb Complex (Surakarta), and the tradition of the Alms of the Cengklik Reservoir (Boyolali). The analysis was carried out with the framework of classical Islamic ethics (Al-Ghazali and Ibn Miskawaih) and the concept of Nusantara Islam which emphasizes harmony between religious teachings and local wisdom. The results of the study show that the practice of religious tourism in Solo Raya reflects three main layers of ethics: (1) spiritual ethics that emphasize sincerity and respect for sacred spaces, (2) social ethics that emphasize communal manners and responsibility, and (3) cultural ethics that display the integration of Islamic values and Javanese traditions. This research emphasizes that religious tourism is not only a spiritual activity, but also a means of character formation and strengthening social harmony. The recommendations are directed at the preparation of ethical guidelines for religious tourism based on Islamic values and local culture as the basis for sustainable religious tourism policies.
