Abstract

Indonesia has implemented the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach through the Kurikulum Merdeka, which is based on learning outcomes, thereby promoting the concept of Merdeka Belajar. The OBE approach emphasizes direct experience for students as part of their learning process. This study aims to examine the implementation of an output-based curriculum and to discuss the rationale for the principles of OBE, outcomes-based curriculum, learning outcomes, and outcome-based assessment. This research uses a qualitative approach based on literature review methods, using the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) database. Data collected through information searches are then selected following inclusion and exclusion criteria. Furthermore, the selected data are analyzed using descriptive methods to detail the principles of OBE and the relationship between OBE and Merdeka Belajar, in relation to Carl Rogers's thinking on "freedom to learns". OBE emphasizes what can be achieved upon completion of learning and uses a learner-centered approach. The implementation of OBE is accompanied by an outcomes-based curriculum, outcomes-based learning and teaching, and outcomes-based quality improvement to measure student success or failure in learning outcomes. This aligns with Carl Rogers's philosophy, enabling students to learn with joy and a pleasant atmosphere, supported by the teacher's role as a facilitator.

Abstract

The significant transformation in the world of education has encouraged teachers to integrate technology to improve the quality of learning. This study aims to examine the types of technology and patterns of technology integration in learning in elementary schools in Indonesia. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to publications from the last 5 years. Of the 98 articles reviewed, 42 articles met the inclusion criteria for analysis. The results of the study show that the types of technology used in elementary school learning are divided into eight technology groups, namely interactive digital learning media, digital-based evaluation and training applications, structured digital teaching materials, online Learning Management System (LMS), online learning conference platforms, concept visualization media, Augmented Reality (AR) technology, and supporting ICT devices. Learning integration patterns are divided into five patterns, namely technology as a medium for delivering material, technology as a means of training and learning assessment, technology in model-based learning, technology for collaborative learning, and technology through classroom devices. A more comprehensive integration of technology into learning can facilitate greater access to learning and encourage the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, which currently emphasizes a mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning process.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has become a key agenda in higher education to foster student creativity and innovation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of arts and culture-based entrepreneurship at Fakultas Bahasa, Seni, dan Budaya (FBSB) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The research used a mixed-methods approach, including student surveys, Forum Group Discussions (FGDs) with lecturers, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results indicate that the majority of students have a high interest and awareness of cultural entrepreneurship, with approximately two-thirds having gained practical experience through class projects and training programs. However, integration within the curriculum remains uneven. The Fine Arts and Crafts Study Program emphasizes cultural innovation, while the Language and Music programs tend to be more general. FGDs with lecturers revealed that FBSB students excel in creativity but are weaker in formal business literacy than students from the Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis. Furthermore, another challenge arises from reliance on artificial intelligence in proposal development, raising issues of originality. This study concludes that contextual curriculum redesign, the implementation of project-based learning, strengthening institutional support, and ethical digital literacy are necessary to foster competitive cultural entrepreneurs in the era of the creative economy.
