Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdapat dalam ekstrak n-heksan daun tumbuhan maja (A. marmelos Linn) yang berasal dari Desa Balong, Kec. Ujung Loe, Kab. Bulukumba. Isolasi dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu maserasi, fraksinasi, uji kemurnian, dan identifikasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kristal murni berwarna putih bening berbentuk jarum dengan titik leleh 140-142°C. Hasil pengukuran spektrum IR menunjukkan pita serapan pada bilangan gelombang 3442 cm-1, 2958 cm-1, 2935 cm-1, 1641 cm-1, 1462 cm-1, 1377 cm-1 dan 1058 cm-1 yang cenderung memiliki kesamaan spektrum dari senyawa steroid yang telah berhasil diidentifikasi. Berdasarkan titik leleh dan data spektrum IR, kristal yang diperoleh diduga golongan senyawa steroid.

Abstract

Perairan Biringkassi, Kecamatan Bungoro, Kabupaten Pangkep, Sulawesi Selatan beresiko terpolusi Pb dari kegiatan bongkar-muat batubara di Pelabuhan Biringkassi dan penangkapan ikan menggunakan perahu berbahan bakar bensin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah sedimen dan udang windu di perairan ini telah terpolusi logam Pb. Sampel diambil di perairan sekitar Pelabuhan Biringkassi dan di sekitar pulau Cambacambayya yang berjarak 7 km ke arah barat Pelabuhan Biringkassi dan relatif masih jauh dari keramaian kegiatan manusia. Pengukuran kadar Pb menggunakan metode spektroskopi serapan atom di laboratorium yang telah terakreditasi di Makassar. Konsentrasi Pb di sedimen perairan Biringkassi adalah 47,33 ± 11,34 mg/kg dan di sedimen perairan Pulau Camba-cambayya adalah 28,23 ± 5,17 mg/kg. Konsentrasi Pb udang windu yang ditangkap di perairan Biringkassi adalah 2,19 ± 0,98 mg/kg sedangkan yang ditangkap di sekitar Pulau Camba-cambayya adalah 0,54 ± 0,21 mg/kg. Student Ttest yang digunakan untuk menentukan apakah sampel telah terpolusi logam Pb (melewati ambang batas 30,2 mg/kg untuk sedimen [Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment, 1999] dan 0,5 mg/kg menurut Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan Republik Indonesia) menunjukkan sedimen dan udang windu dari perairan Biringkassi telah terpolusi logam Pb.

Abstract

This research wasaimed to produce a prototype of incubation box with optimal temperature. Temperature was controlledusing aheaterand afanin an adiabatic incubation box with volume of 270cm3. A heater was used for heating and a fan wasused for cooling temperature. The result showedan optimal temperature increasing from 32oCto 80oCusedheater60 Wwith a time of14.92minutes, and lowering the temperature from 80 oCto 34 oC of 4,6 minutes.

Abstract

Research on themorphological characterizationof panicleslocal rice’sinNorthTana Toraja, South Sulawesi was conducted inAugustto November2012 at theLaboratory ofBotany, Faculty of Mathematicsand Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University. This research aims to determine the morphology character of panicle Landrices and contruct the kinship dendrogram based on morphological similarity of panicle. The methods of characterization panicle folollowed the instruction of Novelty, Distinctness, Uniformity and Stabilityby Department of Agriculture, the Ministryof Agriculture of the Republic Indonesia. Morphological data were analyzed by using NTSyspc-2.1 program, the coefficient of similarity with the Simple Matcing Coefficient (SMC)and the clustering by Unweighted Pair Group Arithmetic Analysis (UPGMA).Theresult reveal that panicle local rice’sfrom North Tana Toraja have morphology similarity values ranging from 0.43 to 0.84. Dendrogram showed that Pare Rogonand Pare Tallangare closely related (similiaruty 0.84).Pare Ra'rariand Pare Leahave similarity 0.80. Pare Kobo and Pare Bau on the degree of similarity of 0.63. Pare Birrang germplasm more closely related Pare Bumbungan germplasm thedegree of similarity of 0.67.

Abstract

Research was carried out with the aim of finding out blended learning on the independence and learning outcomes of class XI MAN 1 Makassar City students. A posttest only control design was used in this research, which is a type of quasiexperimental research. Entire class of XI MAN 1 Makassar City, consisting of 12 classes, was used as the population, then selected by random sampling to obtain 4 classes as samples consisting of 3 experimental classes and 1 control class. Implementation of learning in experimental group used an ICT-based MPBK model with blended learning approach, while in the control group used direct instruction learning model with teacher-based learning approach. Data collection on learning independence is non-test instrument in the form of questionnaire and data collection on learning outcomes is test instrument in form of objective and subjective questions. Data results were then analyzed using descriptive statistics followed inferential statistics. Results of the descriptive analysis showed that the experimental group had better independence and learning outcomes than tcontrol group. Results of the inferential analysis used normality tests, homogeneity, hypothesis testing with multivariate analysis of variance tests and further Tukey HSD tests. From hypothesis testing it was found that the significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, so there was influence of blended learning on independence and learning outcomes of class XI MAN 1 Makassar City students. Results of further tests with Tukey HSD for independence and learning outcomes showed that experimental and control groups were in different subset columns so that there were significant differences between groups, which means that statistically blended learning has influence on students' independence and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze students' perceptions regarding the application of artificial intelligence in science learning materials. The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach to evaluate the perceptions of elementary school students towards the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in science education in Makassar in June 2024. Data analysis techniques involve descriptive statistics. The subjects of the study consisted of 26 students, with instrument being a 24-item questionnaire using a Likert scale from 1 to 5. This questionnaire was designed to assess students' learning experiences, interests, motivation, benefits, impacts, as well as challenges and expectations. The results indicate that the use of AI in science learning has a significant positive impact, enhancing students' learning experiences, interests, and motivation. The majority of students reported that AI aided them in understanding the material, exam preparation, and learning outcomes. However, there were some challenges such as technical issues and adaptation that need to be addressed. Students have high expectations for the sustainability of this technology. To optimize the benefits of AI and overcome challenges, technical support, training, and adequate infrastructure are needed so that all students can equitably benefit from this technology.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of science literacy ability and collaboration skill of prospective science teachers in the course of Matter and Energy and analyze the influence of STEM-PJBL learning on literacy abilities science and collaboration skills. This research is a pre-experiment with the research design used was One-Shot Case Study. In this design, students are given treatment, then observations are made about collaboration skill and they are given a scientific literacy ability test. The population in this study were all students of the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Universitas Negeri Makassar at the Science Education Study Program in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, while the sample in this study was students in the regular class of the 3rd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year which consisted of 2 classes that programmed the course of Matter and Energy. The regular class 01 as an experimental class and regular class 02 as a replication class. The research instruments used to measure collaboration skills are non-test instruments in the form of collaboration skills observation sheets and scientific literacy test instruments in the form of multiple choices. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the level of scientific literacy skills is in high category and the level of collaboration skills of prospective science teachers is in the very high category. The results of the inferential analysis show that the application of STEM-PJBL influences the scientific literacy abilities and collaboration skills of prospective science teachers in substance and energy courses. These results show that STEM-PJBL learning can be applied to other subjects because it can improve scientific literacy skills and collaboration skills of prospective teachers. It can be implemented to examine the effectiveness of this model in similar variables on the other subjects

Abstract

This study aims to build and analyze the SELR mathematical model in the context of the Independent Curriculum, in order to explore and predict the gap in student achievement between urban and remote areas in South Sulawesi. This study combines theoretical studies and applications by conducting simulations using Maple software. The study population involved 400 students from urban areas and 400 students from remote areas where simulation data was used to predict the dynamics of adaptation to the Independent Curriculum. The results showed that the Independent Curriculum was not fully effective in addressing the achievement gap, with a low basic reproduction number (R₀), both in urban and remote areas. The R₀ value of 0.204 in urban areas and 0.614 in remote areas indicates that the spread of curriculum adaptation is still limited and cannot create a significant impact on improving student achievement. This study indicates the need for additional adjustments and interventions in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum to achieve more equitable and inclusive results in various regions .

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the potential of Rat Island as a marine ecotourism destination as well as a contextualized physics learning environment. Using the descriptive qualitative method and literature review support, data were obtained through field observations and literature analysis related to sediment topography, climate, and physics concepts such as ocean waves and tree height measurements. Previous research stated that Rat Island has marine ecotourism potential that can be used as contextual physics learning material. Observation activities in the natural laboratory of Rat Island by Master of Science Education students succeeded in increasing the enthusiasm for learning and inquiry skills. Physics analysis related to tree height measurement provides a deep understanding of physics concepts that can be applied in everyday life. In addition, the research showed the tidal pattern on Rat Island as a periodic physical phenomenon that can be studied and predicted. The concept of Rat Island as a natural laboratory supports its potential as a place for learning and experimentation while supporting environmental conservation efforts. Overall, Rat Island has great potential as a source of contextual physics learning and a sustainable marine ecotourism destination.

Abstract

Pegagan atau yang dikenal dengan nama Pegagan merupakan tanaman perdu yang mengandung zat gizi dan senyawa aktif yang baik bagi tubuh, karena memiliki khasiat sebagai antibakteri, antivirus, antihipertensi, diuretik dan antiinflamasi. Tanaman ini merupakan sumber senyawa fenolik, flavonoid, triterpenoid, alkaloid dan tanin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakteri daun pegagan. Daun pegagan diekstraksi dengan pelarut etanol 70%, kemudian difraksinasi dengan pelarut n-heksana, etil asetat dan metanol. Evaluasi aktivitas antibakteri menggunakan metode difusi cakram pada konsentrasi 5%, 10% dan 15% terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus dengan mengukur zona bening yang terbentuk di sekitar kertas cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 70%, fraksi etil asetat dan fraksi metanol:air memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap kedua bakteri tersebut, sedangkan fraksi n-heksana tidak memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap kedua bakteri tersebut. Ekstrak etanol dengan konsentrasi 5% menunjukkan aktivitas paling efektif dalam menghambat Escherichia coli dengan zona hambat 13,67 ± 0,428 mm dan fraksi metanol:air dengan konsentrasi 5% terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dengan zona hambat 9,35 ± 0,17 mm.
