Abstract

The scientific study of personal names anthroponymy has experienced substantial growth over the past two decades, yet its literature remains fragmented and unsystematically mapped. This article presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) conducted according to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol, analysing 50 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2010 and 2025. The primary objectives are to map global research trends in anthroponymy, identify dominant theories and methodologies, classify thematic clusters, and delineate research gaps requiring scholarly attention. The selection process commenced with 780 records identified across five academic databases Scopus, Web of Science, Dimensions, Google Scholar, and Garuda/SINTA subsequently reduced to 50 articles through rigorous identification, screening, and eligibility assessment. Findings reveal that anthroponymy research is dominated by studies of social identity (28%), names and religion (20%), and gender-based naming (14%). Methodologically, qualitative-ethnographic approaches prevail (56%), with Africa and Asia emerging as the most productive research regions. Bourdieu's identity theory and Alford's anthroponymic framework constitute the most frequently deployed theoretical foundations. This review identifies three primary research gaps: (1) the near-absence of studies on digital naming and cyber-identity; (2) insufficient longitudinal analyses of naming change; and (3) the lack of theoretically indigenous frameworks developed from and for non-Western particularly Indonesian contexts. The contribution of this article lies in providing a comprehensive thematic and theoretical map for researchers in linguistics, anthropolinguistics, and identity studies.

Abstract

Introduction: Biodiversity is an important concept in biology learning that requires understanding not only theoretically, but also contextually through its connection to the real environment. However, biodiversity learning is still often oriented towards textbooks, thus lacking meaningful learning experiences. The use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) as a contextual learning medium is an innovative alternative because it allows students to learn plant variations, classifications, and benefits directly through the surrounding environment. This study aims to analyze the use of TOGA as a contextual learning medium in improving understanding of the concept of biodiversity. Methods: This study used a literature study method with a qualitative descriptive approach through the PRISMA-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) framework. Data were obtained from scientific articles relevant to the topics of TOGA, contextual learning, biodiversity literacy, and environment-based biology learning published in 2021–2026. The literature selection process was carried out through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, resulting in 22 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Data analysis used content analysis techniques to produce a synthesis of the context of TOGA integration in biology learning. Results and Discussion: The results of the study indicate that TOGA has the potential as a contextual learning resource that allows for morphological observation, plant classification, analysis of medicinal plant benefits, and understanding of biodiversity conservation. The contextual learning approach has been proven to improve biodiversity literacy, observation skills, and active student involvement. Conclusion: The use of TOGA as a contextual learning medium can improve understanding of biodiversity concepts in a more meaningful way and support innovative, contextual, and sustainable biology learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze environmental law enforcement and corporate responsibility regarding the ecological crisis triggered by nickel mining activities in the coastal area of Pomalaa, Kolaka Regency. The research method used is empirical legal research (socio-legal) with a qualitative descriptive approach, combining library research from various journal literatures and regulations, as well as a remote interview with a key informant in Dawi-Dawi village. The results show three main findings. First, the manifestation of ecological damage has had multidimensional impacts, including mud flood disasters, damaged road infrastructure, coastal sedimentation that paralyses the economy of the Bajo fishermen, and public health threats in the form of skin diseases in children. Second, this crisis is rooted in maladministration and weak licensing supervision by the local government, evidenced by mining activities without a Borrow-to-Use Forest Area Permit (IPPKH) and the practice of dumping nickel slag waste into the sea without an AMDAL document or valid permits. Third, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) instrument has proven to fail in mitigating the damage and has been reduced to mere charitable activities, thereby ignoring the essence of ecosystem restoration. In conclusion, the environmental crisis in Pomalaa is a direct result of the disregard for environmental law instruments. Therefore, it is urgent to enforce strict criminal and administrative laws to demand absolute environmental restoration from mining corporations.

Abstract

Legal protection for women and children is a crucial component of realizing social justice and protecting human rights. The high rates of sexual violence, domestic violence, and child involvement in criminal acts demonstrate that Indonesia’s legal protection system still faces various challenges. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection for women and children through preventive, repressive, and rehabilitative approaches, based on seven relevant scientific journals. The research method used was a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results indicate that effective legal protection requires synergy between families, schools, law enforcement officials, child protection agencies, and the community. Prevention through education and appropriate parenting has been shown to reduce the risk of violence and juvenile delinquency. Furthermore, a restorative justice approach and victim recovery services are crucial elements in ensuring equitable protection. This study concludes that strengthening inter-agency coordination, improving protection facilities, and expanding community-based education are necessary to create a more optimal women’s and children’s protection system. rr

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a serious human rights violation and has a long-term impact on the growth and development of victims. The Kolaka Regency Women and Children Empowerment Office (DPPA) as the spearhead of child protection at the regional level is required to have adequate resource capacity to provide a fast, precise, and comprehensive response. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of human resources, infrastructure, budgets, and institutional systems owned by the Kolaka Regency DPPA in dealing with child victims of sexual violence. The study uses a descriptive-analytical approach by referring to the national regulatory framework, minimum service standards for child protection, and child protection governance practices in the regions. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of handling in Kolaka Regency is still faced with administrative and financial obstacles, especially the unavailability of cross-sector operational MoU and the constraints of budget allocation for socialization activities. Handling child victims of sexual violence requires a holistic integration of resources, including the availability of psychosocial experts, gender-sensitive law enforcement, a structured referral system, and sustainable budget support. Strengthening Kolaka Regency DPPA resources needs to be prioritized through institutionalized cross-sector collaboration, improving human resource competence, and empowering local communities as a child protection buffer system.

Abstract

Introduction: The fact that violence against women and children continues to be a significant issue in Indonesia demonstrates a gap between legal standards and social reality. Although numerous laws and regulations have been enacted, such as Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, and Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence, the number of violence cases remains high from year to year. Methods: This study uses normative legal techniques, taking both legislative and conceptual approaches. The study is supported by primary and secondary legal materials, collected through a literature review. Results: Legal protection for women and children has not been optimally implemented, according to the study's findings. This is due to inadequate law enforcement, obstacles in presenting evidence, low public knowledge of legal issues, and a patriarchal culture that influences the situation. Furthermore, victim protection has not fully focused on the victim's comprehensive recovery. Conclusion: There is a gap between the rhetoric of protection in regulations and the reality of violence that remains high in society, so that strengthening legal implementation and a more victim-oriented approach are needed.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of alternative charges in Class I narcotics crimes and assess their conformity with trial facts and elements of the offenses charged. This research employs a normative legal method using a statutory approach and a case approach, analyzed qualitatively through primary and secondary legal materials. The primary case examined is Decision Number 29/Pid.Sus/2026/PN Kka issued by the Kolaka District Court, involving the defendant RANDI Bin MUSAFIR charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, in relation to the unlawful sale and distribution of 5.3659 grams of methamphetamine. The research findings indicate that alternative charges are commonly used by public prosecutors as a strategy to anticipate evidentiary obstacles during trial proceedings. However, their implementation does not fully reflect the compatibility between the legal construction of the charges and the actual facts established at trial. In practice, judges tend to select the charge that is easiest to prove based on available evidence, without comprehensively assessing all facts revealed. This creates a gap between substantive truth and the legal reasoning in judicial decisions. Furthermore, there is an unclear boundary between the elements of narcotics distribution and possession, which opens the door to multiple interpretations and potential legal uncertainty. Problems were also identified in the evidentiary aspect, particularly regarding the validity of certain evidence and compliance with due process. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the drafting of indictments and enhance judicial precision in order to achieve legal certainty, justice, and expediency.
