The aspect of early childhood education includes language development, physical-motor, cognitive, socio-emotional, religious-morality, and art. The development of cognitive aspects becomes very important in efforts to develop lesson planning, learning materials, and assessment. This study aims to produce instructional media on cognitive aspects that are appropriate to the characteristics of early childhood education. The instructional media was developed using the research and development design with Rowntree model. The Rowntree development model consists of 3 phases, those are planning phase, development phase, and the evaluation phase. The study was conducted involving 10 early childhood education institutions in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Data was collected by documenting the learning process and utilizing rubrics for assessing the development of cognitive domain. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis to describe the quality of the products on cognitive domain in early childhood education. Abstract

The Synchronous online argumentation system is highly needed to facilitate learning activity in this internet era. To gain deeper insights about this important issue, this study developed nine principles based on Cognitive Load, User Interface, and User Experience to redesign a system. With this framework, 48 (forty-eight) students of Chi-Ying High School had tested with two prototypes, and the second prototype used the nine principles. The systems were measured with Web-Based Learning Environment (WEBLEI) and System Usability Test (SUS). The result of WEBLEI measurement shows that the second prototype gives better result and shows higher user acceptance than the first prototype. The result of SUS measurement shows that the usability of the second prototype is better than on the first prototype with (4.43) SUS score difference. The result shows that the use of nine principles that applied to the second prototype does increase the usability and acceptance of the students.

Based on the results of the assessment in this study on the questionnaire obtained the frequency perception of 28 students with a percentage of 93.4% in the sufficient category. For the interest questionnaire to get frequency as many as 24 students with a percentage of 80.1% in the good category. While the motivation questionnaire obtained frequency of 28 students with a percentage of 93.4% in the good category. The resulting data shows that the electronic ethnocontructivism module based on the Pageflip Professional 3D software developed can be used as teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

Personality is considered one of the internal factors that have an impact on students’ ability in language learning. The present study investigated the impact of personality types on their ability in writing English. There are two types of personalities studied: Extrovert and Introvert. The research is quasi-experiment. Students at grade XI Vocational School 1 Sungai Penuh engage in the study, whereas only two classes selected as samples (experimental class and control class). Students were given a personality questionnaire to recognize their personality types. Then, the writing test carries out in each class in order to know the student's ability in writing. The data are analyzed by using t-test. The finding of hypotheses testing proves that the p-score is 0,00. Thus, the p-score is lower than 0,05 (0,00<0,05) which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Hence, there is a significant impact on students’ personalities to their writing ability. Students with introvert personalities have better writing scores than students with extrovert personality.

All students receive biology learning by applying Problem-based Learning (PBL) combined with Two Stay-Two Stray (TSTS) assisted by “Sangkar Hati” media. The collected data were analyzed by using one way ANCOVA. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that HOTS achievement of female students is not significantly different from male students.
