Abstract

Good parenting produces a good mutual relationship between parent and child. Fathers have a role in parenting. A father is involved in nurturing by interacting with children and utilizing his resources, including physical, cognition, and affection. To that end, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between authoritative parenting and secure attachment to fathers among adolescents in Pidie-Aceh, Indonesia. This study used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 200 teenagers. Data collection techniques were performed by using an authoritative parenting scale and secure attachment to the father scale. The Pearson correlation test results showed that authoritative parenting was positively related to secure attachment to father. Abstract

This study aims to describe the mental health conditions of Saudi Arabian during the Covid-19 pandemic and to analyze the factors that influence it. A qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and collection of qualitative documents were used in this study. The analysis group was divided into three; medical staff, patients and their families, and the general community. The result showed that no serious mass mental problems were found in Saudi Arabia. This was influenced by several factors, including the availability of free psychological counseling services, internalized religious values, and strategic policies adopted by the government. Copyright © 2020. Psikoislamika: Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam

Abstract

Blind people's limitations affect their movement development, learning ability, and psychological development because of the difficulty of understanding and accepting the surrounding environmental conditions. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-acceptance and social support with anxiety. The hypothesis of this research was there is a relationship between self-acceptance and social support with anxiety. Subjects in this research were 80 blind adolescents in Pertuni Medan Foundation. Data analysis used is Multiple Linear Analysis through the help of SPSS 25 for Windows. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence the occurrence of boredom of learning among Santri in a boarding school in Garut. Then, the researcher continuously tested the relationship of the factors that were assumed to be related variables including character strength, Islamic religiosity and ethnic identity which were considered to be contributive variables that determined the occurrence of boredom learning in Santri. The mixed method research was carried out using thematic content analysis to obtain comprehensive information about boredom learning that occurred in Santri through an open questionnaire. Meanwhile, the partial correlation technique is used to identify how strong the relationship between predetermined factors is. The results of the study of 60 respondents who were selected by purposive technique sampling showed that the factors that caused the students to feel bored included the limited accessibility of leaving the pesantren, not being able to gather with their families, some programs that did not work and the learning process was monotonous. Meanwhile, the factors that cause students to survive are due to the dominant strength of character for studying religious knowledge, the emergence of the notion that pesantren is a good place to develop themselves and the amount of social support from peers. Meanwhile, there is a relationship between the strength of the character being tested, namely creativity, curiosity and persistence with Islamic religiousness (r = .3, p = 1%). Other results indicate that culture becomes a partial variable that has a direct effect on Islamic religiousness and character strengths.Keywords: ethnic identity; boredom learning; character strengths; Islamic religiousness; SantriAbstrak: Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk melakukan eksplorasi terhadap faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap terjadinya kejenuhan belajar pada santri di salah satu pondok pesantren di Garut. Kemudian, peneliti menguji secara berkelanjutan hubungan dari faktor-faktor yang diasumsikan menjadi variabel terkait meliputi kekuatan karakter, religiusitas Islam dan identitas suku yang dianggap menjadi variabel kontributif yang menentukan terjadinya kejenuhan belajar pada santri tersebut. Metode penelitian campuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis konten tematik untuk mendapatkan informasi komprehensif tentang situasi kejenuhan belajar yang terjadi pada santri melalui kuesioner terbuka. Sementara itu, teknik korelasi parsial digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi seberapa kuat keterkaitan dari faktor-faktor yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian dari 60 responden yang dipilih dengan purposive technique sampling menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan santri merasa bosan diantaranya yakni terbatasnya aksesibilitas keluar pesantren, tidak bisa berkumpul dengan keluarga, program ada yang tidak jalan dan proses pembelajaran yang monoton. Sedangkan faktor yang menyebabkan santri bisa bertahan karena adanya kekuatan karakter yang dominan untuk mempelajari ilmu agama, munculnya anggapan bahwa pesantren adalah tempat yang baik dalam mengembangkan diri serta banyaknya dukungan sosial dari teman sebaya. Sementara itu, terdapat hubungan dari kekuatan karakter yang diujikan yaitu kreativitas, keingintahuan dan ketekunan dengan religiusitas Islam (r = .3, p = 1 %). Hasil lainnya menunjukkan bahwa budaya menjadi variabel parsial yang mempunyai efek secara langsung terhadap religiusitas Islam dan kekuatan karakter.Kata Kunci: identitas etnik; kejenuhan belajar; kekuatan karakter; religiusitas Islam, Santri

Abstract

Abstract: The effectiveness of a leader is not easy to achieve. The leader must build awareness to equip himself and his members for the achievement of objectives. Intrapersonal beliefs in their capabilities to function as leaders are called Leader Role-Efficacy (LRE), their ability to navigate and manage interpersonal relationships with their members is called Leader Trust in Subordinate (LTS), both of which are key elements of leader effectiveness. This study aims to describe whether Intentional Change Model (ICM) training can improve the leader effectiveness of PPGT administrators in the Pajalesang Palopo congregations. The subject of the study was the management of PPGT organization including fifteen people as one group pre and post-test design. The pre-test questionnaire was given a week before the treatment, and the post-test questionnaire was given two weeks after the treatment. Measuring instruments used by researchers are the Leader Effectiveness Scale by Ladegard and Gjerde and Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ) by Luthans, Youssef, and Avolio. The results showed that there were significant differences in the values before and after being given the intentional change model training treatment.Keywords: Leader Effectiveness; Intentional Change Model; TrainingAbstrak: Efektivitas pemimpin bukan hal yang mudah untuk dicapai oleh pemimpin. Pemimpin harus membangun kesadaran untuk melengkapi diri dan anggotanya demi tercapainya tujuan. Keyakinan intrapersonal dalam kapabilitasnya untuk berfungsi sebagai pemimpin disebut leader role-efficacy (LRE), kemampuannya untuk menavigasi dan mengelola hubungan interpersonal dengan anggotanya disebut leader trust in subordinate (LTS), keduanya merupakan elemen kunci dari leader effectiveness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pelatihan intentional change model (ICM) dapat meningkatkan leader effectiveness pengurus Persekutuan Pemuda Gereja Toraja (PPGT) jemaat Pajalesang Palopo. Subjek penelitian yakni, pengurus organisasi PPGT berjumlah lima belas orang sebagai one group pre and post-test design. Kuesioner ­pre-test diberikan seminggu sebelum perlakuan dan kuesioner post-test diberikan dua minggu setelah perlakuan. Alat ukur yang digunakan oleh peneliti yakni Leader effectiveness scale dari Ladegard dan Gjerde dan Psychological Capital Quetionnaire (PCQ) dari Luthans, Youssef, dan Avolio. Abstract

Abstract: Islamic Religion-Focused Coping is a strategy as an effort to manage work stress by using religious belief and demonstrating religious behavior in order to prevent or reduce the consequences of work stress. Work stress in companies has become an important issue to observe due to the emergence of demand to be more efficient at work. This research was conducted to describe the Islamic religion-focused coping in garment company employees who experienced work stress. The research design used was quantitative-descriptive method through questionnaire. The participants of this study were 82 employees who went through screening stage with a stress diagnostic survey to measure work stress. The result showed that the most prominent source of stress among 75 employees with work stress at moderate and high levels resulted from group of colleagues. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed by Pargament to examine employee Islamic religion-focused coping. The final result showed that a total of 86% employees used Islamic religion-focused coping in managing their work stress. On its dimension, employees often used religious belief (believing that Allah SWT would help solve every problem) and religious behavior (praying and reciting Al-Quran). Demographic factors in this research also affected how an employee used the coping, namely age development. This indicates that the elder the employees are, the more they use Islamic religion-focused coping to reduce work stress and maintain productivity at work.Keywords: Islamic Religion-Focused Coping; Productivity; Work StressAbstrak: Islamic religion-focused coping merupakan strategi yang berlangsung sebagai bentuk usaha mengelola stres kerja dengan cara menggunakan kepercayaan agama (religious belief) dan melakukan kegiatan keagamaan (religious behavior) untuk mencegah atau mengurangi konsekuensi stres kerja. Masalah stres kerja di dalam perusahaan menjadi gejala yang penting diamati sejak tuntutan untuk lebih efisien di dalam pekerjaan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memaparkan Islamic religion-focused coping pada karyawan perusahaan garmen yang mengalami stres kerja. Rancangan penelitian ini yakni metode kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif melalui kuesioner. Partisipan penelitian yakni karyawan sebanyak 82 orang, yang kemudian melalui tahap screening dengan stres diagnostic survey untuk mengukur stres kerja. Didapatkan data sebanyak 75 karyawan yang merasakan stres kerja di taraf moderat dan tinggi, sumber stres yang paling menonjol berasal dari kelompok rekan kerja. Alat ukur yang digunakan yakni kuesioner yang dikembangkan oleh Pargament untuk melihat bagaimana gambaran Islamic religion-focused coping terhadap karyawan. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 86% karyawan menggunakan Islamic religion-focused coping dalam menanggulangi stres kerja yang dialami. Pada dimensinya, karyawan sering menggunakan religious belief (percaya bahwa Allah SWT akan membantu setiap masalah yang datang) dan religious behavior (shalat, berdoa, dan membaca Al-Quran). Faktor demografi pada penelitian ini juga memengaruhi cara seseorang melakukan coping, yaitu perkembangan usia karyawan. Abstract

Abstract: Covid-19 Pandemic outbreak has become a global disease that has spread to every country in the world. Society is faced by a significant change in the order of social life. All activities are taught using daring methods. These things are the cause of many people experiencing problems such as increased anxiety and stress. It also affects parents who are forced to adapt to new realities and tend to feel stressed in accompanying children to learn daring. With this condition, it is important for parents to have resilience in the face of stress called resilience. The purpose of this study is to explain the importance of the role of parental resilience during the mentoring of home learning programs through the level of resilience and patterns of parental resilience during the mentoring of learning activities. The method used in this study is qualitative method with phenomenological approach. The analysis unit of this study is parents who accompany children to learn daring during the pandemic for approximately 1 year at least, from the level of grade 1-3 elementary school numbering 25 parents. The results showed that parental resilience is indispensable to motivate the child's learning, provide a sense of comfort and safety to the child, make the child happy during learning. This is shown through the results of quantitative surveys of parental resilience levels in the high category. Second, parental resilience patterns are shown by aspects of emotional regulation, impulse control, optimistic attitudes, empathy, problem analysis skills, and improved positive aspects.Keywords: Resilience; Parental Assistance; Studi from HomeAbstrak: Wabah Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi penyakit global yang telah menyebar ke setiap negara dunia. Masyarakat dihadapkan oleh perubahan tatanan kehidupan sosial yang signifikan. Seluruh kegiatan salah satunya belajar mengajar menggunakan metode daring. Berbagai hal ini menjadi penyebab banyak orang mengalami permasalahan seperti peningkatan kecemasan dan stress. Hal ini juga berdampak pada orangtua yang terpaksa beradaptasi dengan realitas baru dan cenderung merasa stress dalam mendampingi anak belajar daring. Dengan kondisi demikian, maka para orangtua penting untuk memiliki ketahanan diri dalam menghadapi stress yang disebut resiliensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk memaparkan pentingnya peran ketahanan orangtua selama pendampingan program belajar dari rumah melalui tingkat resiliensi dan pola resiliensi orangtua selama pendampingan kegiatan belajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Unit analisis dari penelitian ini yakni orangtua yang mendampingi anak belajar daring di masa pandemi kurang lebih selama 1 tahun minimal, dari jenjang kelas 1-3 SD berjumlah 25 orangtua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi orangtua sangat diperlukan untuk memotivasi belajar anak, memberikan rasa nyaman dan aman pada anak, membuat anak senang selama belajar. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan melalui hasil survei kuantitatif tingkat resiliensi orangtua dalam kategori tinggi. Kedua, pola resiliensi orangtua ditunjukkan dengan aspek regulasi emosi, pengendalian impuls, sikap optimis, empati, kemampuan analisis masalah, dan peningkatan aspek positif.Kata Kunci: Ketahanan; Resiliensi; Pendampingan Orangtua; Belajar Dari Rumah

Abstract

Turnover always occurs in companies, if it continues to increase, it will be detriment. Organizational commitment is a psychological state that characterizes the relationship between employee and organizations, in which the employee believes and wants to accept the goals and will remain or leave the organization as well as reflects the loyalty to a sustainable organization at which employees express their concern for the organization success and progress. The present study aims to evaluate validity and reliability score from measuring instruments based on the theory of Allen and Meyer. The dimensions that are used as reference for making the measuring instrument include affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment. This study was conducted on 92 nurses by using simple random sampling technique. The measuring instrument was made by scaling using a Likert model. The measurement of validity and reliability score used Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) approach by PLS 3.3.2 software. The results showed that the organizational commitment measurement tool was declared valid and reliable as a measuring tool. There were 15 items dropped out of the 24 items tested.Keywords: Organizational Commitment; Validity; Reliability

Abstract

Dreams are considered as an influence of physical activity and a reflection of the psychiatric symptoms experienced by individuals. Dreams can give positive and negative impact for individuals. This study aims to explain the psychology of dreams from Ibn Sirin's perspective. A qualitative method by literature study approach, specifically the dream psychology in the perspective of Ibn Sirin was employed in this study. The results showed that this dream came not only from the subconscious dimension, but also came from a further and transcendental dimension (such as dreams experienced by prophets or sholeh people by all interpretations). As stated by Ibn Sirin, dreams can serve as a means to evoke pent-up feelings that cannot be expressed in conscious time and are the symbolic representations of spiritual life derived from transcendental dimensions.Keywords: Psychology; Dreams; Ibn SirinMimpi dianggap sebagai pengaruh dari aktivitas fisik dan cerminan dari gejala kejiwaan yang dialami oleh individu. Mimpi dapat memberikan dampak yang positif maupun negatif terhadap individu. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk menjelaskan psikologi mimpi dari perspektif Ibnu Sirin. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, psikologi mimpi dalam perspektif ibnu sirin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika mimpi ini tidak hanya berasal dari dimensi bawah sadar saja, namun juga bersumber dari dimensi yang lebih jauh dan bersifat transendental (seperti mimpi yang dialami oleh nabi atau orang sholeh dengan segala penafsirannya). Menurut Ibnu Sirin, mimpi dapat berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk memunculkan perasaan yang terpendam yang tidak dapat diungkapkan pada waktu sadar serta merupakan representasi simbolis dari kehidupan spiritual yang bersumber dari dimensi transendental.Kata Kunci: Psikologi; Mimpi; Ibnu Sirin

Abstract

Abstract: High work demands and obligations to fulfill tasks which are spending time, thought and energy make teachers have burnout. This research aims to study the effect of spiritual well-being and self-efficacy on burnout among kindergarten teachers. Having correlational quantitative research design, this research involved 94 teachers who teach in kindergartens. Quota technique sampling was used to have the sample. There are three instruments used, namely the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale, Spiritual well-being questionnaire (SWBQ) scale, and self-efficacy scale. The result showed that spiritual well-being and self-efficacy have an effect on burnout among kindergarten teachers. Partially spiritual well-being has a positive effect on burnout and self-efficacy has a negative effect. The contribution of the two variables shows that other variables can be used for further research.Keywords: Burnout, Spiritual well-being, Self-efficacyAbstrak: Tuntutan kerja yang tinggi dan kewajiban memenuhi tugas yang memakan waktu, pikiran dan tenaga membuat guru dapat mengalami burnout. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh spiritual well-being dan self-efficacy terhadap burnout pada guru TK. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 94 guru yang mengajar di TK. Teknik quota sampling digunakan untuk mengambil sample penelitian. Ada tiga instrumen yang digunakan yaitu skala Maslach Burnout Inventery (MBI), skala Spiritual Well-Being Questionnaire (SWBQ) dan skala self-efficacy. Hasil analisis data menggunakan regresi ganda menunjukkan bahwa spiritual well-being dan self-efficacy berpengaruh terhadap terbentuknya burnout pada guru TK. Secara parsial spiritual well-being berpengaruh positif terhadap burnout dan self-efficacy berpengaruh secara negative. Kontribusi kedua variabel menunjukkan ada variabel lain yang bisa digunakan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.Kata Kunci: burnout, spiritual well-being, self-efficacy
