Abstract

This research aimed to know the development and worthiness of the pictorial story modules based on e-learning for the materials of economic activities on the social science subject, and to know learners' responses to the pictorial story modules based on e-learning for the materials of economic activities on the social science subject. The method used in this study was the research and development (RND) from Borg & Gall. This development used only 6 steps out of 10 steps, because of the time limit and the cost of researchers. The product assessment for the module's worthiness test was conducted by three experts: media experts, linguists, and materials experts, with the test subjects of scale limited to 20 students at Class IV-B of SD Negeri 13. The results of the feasibility of the module were 88%, meaning that the percentage value was categorized as "very worthy" criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the questionnaire of the students’ response obtained a percentage of 94%. Thus, it was categorized as "very worthy" criteria and exceeded the established research success criteria.

Abstract

Thematic learning links one lesson to another. SD Negeri 02 Cisampih is still less than optimal in preparing technology-based learning activities, especially nowadays, it is still in a situation of the covid-19 pandemic, which limited the students to study directly at school. SmartBooks are an alternative to provide the understanding and foster enthusiasm and motivation for students in thematic learning. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of the SmartBook, find out the exact validity of the SmartBook media, and find out the response to the book. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 02 Cisampih. The research subjects were 19 students at grade V in a limited trial. The type of research referred to the research and development (R&D) model. This model consisted of 10 stages namely, (1) potential and problems, (2) information gathering, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision, (6) product trial, (7) product revision, (8) usage trial, (9) final product revision, (10) mass production. This research only reached stage 6, namely product testing. The instrument was a questionnaire sheet for media validation with a percentage of 86.5%, material validation with a percentage of 89.5%, education experts with a percentage of 86.5%, and a student response questionnaire sheet of 84%. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the quality of the SmartBook was in the very decent category. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the involvement of parents in the learning discipline of grade 2 elementary school students. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Based on the results of research and data analysis obtained from observations and interviews with class teachers, parents, and students, it was concluded that some students still lacked discipline in learning, especially in the aspect of collecting assignments. This was due to the busy work experienced by the parents of these students, which caused a lack of parents’ involvement in accompanying children to study. As a result, students were often late in collecting assignments that the teacher gave. The participation of parents in the child's learning process meant to involve themselves in helping and assisting children in doing school assignments. Elementary school-age children still needed assistance from others, especially from parents, in carrying out the learning process to support the success of the child's education process, especially in child behavior development. One aspect of children’s behavior development that needed to be considered was discipline. One of the aspects of students’ learning discipline was collecting assignments based on the time determined by the teacher and is responsible for doing the tasks given by the teacher. Learning discipline had several factors, one of which was external factors coming from the family environment.

Abstract

Advances in technology encourage teachers to become digital teachers who can innovate 21st-century learning. The development of instructional video media is a solution in creating active and popular learning today. Thinking critically, systematically, and logically in solving problems is part of numeracy, its simple ability to use mathematical sentences in everyday life. Therefore, the researcher developed an instructional video media through numeracy-based for grade III elementary school students at SDS Maria Mediatrik; the material for adding and decreasing fractions is the same. This study used the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE research model (analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating). This study aimed to see the video development process, the feasibility of learning videos, students' responses to learning videos and provide provisions for understanding after using instructional videos. Numeracy-based. The validation of video learning media obtained 88.33% with the category "very feasibility" tested. Student responses get an average of 97.50% in the "very good" category. The understanding results show an average value of 81.25; thus, this study concluded that "the value exceeds the 75 criteria for the school's minimum completeness criteria (KKM)

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a web-based crossword puzzle game (TTS) media on natural science (IPA)subject for elementary school (SD) students. This media contained science practice questions for elementary school students equipped with web access so that students could use it during the online learning process at home. This research was development research that produced a game media. This study used a qualitative and quantitative descriptive design with research subjects including a) 2 material experts; b) 2 design experts; c) 6 elementary school teachers and d) 30 elementary school students. Qualitative data were obtained from observations, interviews, and input from the validator. Quantitative data were obtained from questionnaires given to validators and users. The questionnaire contained several statements according to the product being developed which consists of the feasibility of the material and the feasibility of the media display design. The results of this study indicated that: (1) the validation results from the material expert team and the design expert team respectively obtained a score of 84% and 86% in the very appropriate category and (2) the results of the teacher's response and the students’ test response obtained a score of 84% with the category very good. Thus, the web-based crossword puzzle game media was feasible and can be used as an additional alternative to teaching media in the learning process

Abstract

Listening is one of the activities someone carries out to get and add new information or new knowledge. In terms of listening, students tend to listen but do not understand the content that is listened to. Students tend to underestimate listening, especially listening to factual problems. One of the efforts that will be made to improve students' listening skills is to use audio-visual media. The research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a research design model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 006 Sungai Ara. The subjects of this study were students of class VI (Six); the number of students was 24. Two cycles showed students' listening learning outcomes with an increasing average. In the first cycle, the averages obtained before and after using audio-visual media were 71.33 and 76.63. In the second cycle, the averages obtained before and after using audio-visual media were 76.42 and 79.46. Thus, the application of audio-visual media improved students' listening skills and students' learning interests

Abstract

Teachers are an essential key in improving the quality of education. One of the characteristics of good quality education is creating a good learning process, starting from planning, implementation, and evaluation. In line with this, the teachers’ ability to evaluate students is needed, one of which is the HOTS question. The HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) question refers to an instrument used to measure higher-order thinking skills, namely the ability to remember and restate or refer without processing. The research used was School Action Research (PTS) using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 023 Semoga Jaya. The subjects of this research were eight teachers. Two cycles showed an increase in the results of the performance indicator assessment. The average obtained in the first cycle was <75, while in the second cycle, the average obtained after more intense actions was >75. This result was very satisfying because the teachers understood how to make HOTS questions as learning objectives in the Mid-Semester Exam.

Abstract

The goal of this study was to assess the viability of using audio-visual learning media to promote students’ learning, particularly in thematic learning, as well as students’ responses to the media generated by researchers. The research approach was Research and Development (R&D) following the 4D (Four-D) development model of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Based on the opinions of teachers, media professionals, and material experts, the results demonstrated the viability of audio-visual media. Each teacher had an average score of 87.5%, while media specialists received an average score of 92.3% and material experts received an average score of 79.2%. Following that, the students' reactions to the media employed in the learning process were 96.9%. Based on the findings of these investigations, it was concluded that this research created audio-visual media products in the form of learning films in thematic learning for grade V Elementary School using Google Drive. The teacher and media expert validation results fell into the "Very Eligible" group, while material experts fell into the "Eligible" category. The "Very Good" category included evaluations of students’ responses. As a result, the product was stated to be suitable for use as a learning medium.
