This research was conducted at nine public and private junior high schools in Kabupaten Bengkalis. The subjects in this study were teachers who taught at the schools. The purpose of this research was to improve teachers' ability in the learning process by using a project-based learning method during the covid-19 pandemic. The results obtained that the students' learning outcomes at seven schools were in the very good category and only two schools obtained students' learning outcomes in the poor category. The purpose of this study was to analyze the involvement of parents in the learning discipline of grade 2 elementary school students. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Based on the results of research and data analysis obtained from observations and interviews with class teachers, parents, and students, it was concluded that some students still lacked discipline in learning, especially in the aspect of collecting assignments. This was due to the busy work experienced by the parents of these students, which caused a lack of parents’ involvement in accompanying children to study. As a result, students were often late in collecting assignments that the teacher gave. The participation of parents in the child's learning process meant to involve themselves in helping and assisting children in doing school assignments. Elementary school-age children still needed assistance from others, especially from parents, in carrying out the learning process to support the success of the child's education process, especially in child behavior development. One aspect of children’s behavior development that needed to be considered was discipline. One of the aspects of students’ learning discipline was collecting assignments based on the time determined by the teacher and is responsible for doing the tasks given by the teacher. Learning discipline had several factors, one of which was external factors coming from the family environment.

This study aimed to determine the influence of self-efficacy on students’ learning outcomes. This research was a causal ex-post facto study. The research subjects were elementary school students (SD) with a sample of 27 students. Data collection was carried out using instruments in the form of self-efficacy questionnaires and multiple-choice tests that were developed based on the basic competencies in the cognitive domain to measure science learning outcomes. The results of this study, based on the calculation of the correlation between self-efficacy and learning outcomes, showed a correlation coefficient of 0.029 with p < 0.05. This means that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, indicating that students with good self-efficacy tend to achieve higher learning outcomes. The findings confirmed that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and student learning outcomes. From these results, it can be concluded that one of the indicators of successful student learning is reflected in the level of self-efficacy. Therefore, this assessment can be used as a basis for teachers to consider solutions and strategies in implementing the teaching and learning process.

The main objective of this research was to improve teachers' ability in learning by implementing guidance by supervisors using zoom meetings. During the current covid-19 pandemic, many learning processes were still disrupted so that the learning process became less effective. As a result, the ability of teachers and students decreased. Therefore, there was a need for guidance by supervisors through zoom meetings because it was still not possible for face-to-face meetings. The form of this research is school action research which aims to improve and develop teachers' ability in the learning process. This research was conducted in a kindergarten in Dumai, and the research subject was the teacher. The results showed an increase that occurred after the coaching action for the teachers. It was evident from the percentage of coaching results with an 85% increase which was a quite large increase compared to the previous data. Then, for the results of observing teacher activities in the first cycle, data were found to be 55% with a fairly good category, then in the second cycle, 80% data was found in the very good category. Looking at the data, it can be seen that the teacher's abilities and teaching skills have been improved after learning reflection was carried out in the form of coaching actions by supervisors.

The main task of the school supervisor is to supervise the school for which he is responsible. Supervision in this context includes monitoring, supervision, evaluation, reporting, and taking the necessary follow-up steps. This School Action Research was carried out in the fostered junior high school of Kabupaten Rokan Hilir under the supervision of the researcher. This was chosen because it supported the task of school supervisors to find out and try to improve teachers’ competence in the learning process. The stages conducted in school action research were: planning/preparing for action, implementing actions, observing and interpreting, data analysis and reflection. From the results of the study, it was known that the application of the discussion method improved teachers’ understanding in the process of learning activities. By using the discussion method, teachers’ participation become more active, meaning that it tended to be positive in following the process provided by the facilitator as well as in conducting discussions within and between groups. This success was caused by using the discussion method; teachers exchanged experiences, information with one another. In other words, discussion techniques increased cooperation between teachers through the exchange of opinions or information, so that they were more active.
