Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence and the demands of 21st-century learning underscore the urgency of implementing immersive learning in elementary schools so that students not only master the material but also think critically, analytically, and contextually. This study aims to analyze immersive learning management at Nur Syamsiyani Islamic Elementary School, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and supporting and inhibiting factors. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted in accordance with the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model. The results show that teachers have integrated immersive learning principles through HOTS-based objective design, the use of PjBL, PBL, and Inquiry models, and authentic assessment. This approach positions students as active actors involved in exploration, collaboration, and problem-solving. Evaluation is conducted holistically through portfolios, process observations, and reflection. Supporting factors include teacher creativity, principal support, the flexibility of the Independent Curriculum, and a supportive classroom environment. Existing barriers include limited time, facilities, and differences in student abilities. This study emphasizes the importance of systematic and adaptive learning management to strengthen deep learning practices in elementary schools and recommends further research on developing implementation models for more diverse Islamic school contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the ethical values of educators and students as described in Iqra' Bismirabbika and explain their relevance to the demands of modern education. A qualitative descriptive method based on literature review was used in this study. This study involved a thorough reading and analysis of the main text and supporting references. The results of the study show that teacher ethics consist of five main principles: sincerity, compassion, exemplary behavior, honesty in conveying knowledge, and methodological skills. On the other hand, student ethics consist of sincerity of intention, respect for teachers, discipline in learning, respect for knowledge, and the application of knowledge in life. In addition, the findings show that these principles are still relevant to addressing modern educational issues, such as the weakening relationship between teachers and students, changes in learning culture, and moral challenges in the digital age. This study found that Al-Qarni's ethical values can serve as a normative foundation for strengthening character and the quality of interaction in modern education.

Abstract

This study investigates the conceptual distinctions between boarding schools and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) within the framework of contemporary Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The research aims to understand how both systems integrate religious values, academic achievement, and character formation in a residential educational environment. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study analyzes philosophical foundations, curriculum orientation, and the roles of educators in shaping students’ moral and intellectual growth. The findings reveal that boarding schools emphasize structured management and curriculum integration between general and Islamic education, whereas pesantren focus on the transmission of classical Islamic sciences and character development through traditional mentorship and communal life. Both models share the same mission of producing spiritually grounded, disciplined, and socially responsible individuals. The study concludes that an integrative approach combining the strengths of both systems is essential for developing holistic Islamic education that remains relevant amid globalization, technological change, and social diversity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic religious education in the formation of sakinah families at Masjid Ahmad Dahlan and to determine the outcomes of its implementation on the development of congregational families. This research employed an empirical study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, and documentation, while the data were analyzed using descriptive analysis methods. The findings indicate that the development of sakinah families through Islamic religious education at Masjid Ahmad Dahlan includes the fulfillment of social, spiritual, and material needs. The guidance activities have created a harmonious social pattern that supports the formation of sakinah families. Furthermore, the results show an improvement in the spiritual aspects of the congregation, indicated by the fulfillment of both material and spiritual needs as characteristics of a sakinah family. Therefore, the implementation of Islamic religious education at Masjid Ahmad Dahlan contributes positively to the formation of sakinah families, although it has not yet reached the highest level of sakinah.

Abstract

This research analyzes the educational framework developed by Muhammad bin Syakir al-Syarif, which offers a phased model of education beginning from pre-puberty, continuing through puberty, and reaching adulthood, as a response to the weakening internalization of values in modern Islamic education. The purpose of this research is to explain the structure of his educational thought, the stages of child development, and the educational methods formulated in accordance with psychological characteristics and the principles of Islamic law. This study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of the primary works of the author and relevant supporting references. The findings reveal that the pre-tamyiz stage emphasizes role modeling and habituation, the tamyiz stage requires dialogue and direct experience, while the baligh stage represents the phase of taklif that demands a rational and responsible educational approach through methods such as at-ta‘lim, mau‘izhah, amar ma‘ruf nahi munkar, parables, exploration, and rihlah. This study concludes that Syakir’s educational model remains relevant in addressing the dominance of cognitive-oriented approaches in contemporary Islamic education and may serve as a foundation for developing a more integrated Islamic educational curriculum.

Abstract

This study analyzes student development programs aimed at strengthening the religious identity of Muslim youth in the digital age, conducted at a modern Islamic boarding school in Subang Regency. It focuses on program effectiveness, the influence of digital technology, the role of educators, and student responses. A phenomenological qualitative approach was applied to explore participants’ lived experiences. Participants included 12 students, 3 boarding school teachers, 1 character-building teacher, 4 Islamic education teachers, and 2 murobbi, selected purposively based on their involvement in the guidance program. Data were collected through structured and open-ended online interviews via Google Form, supported by documentation and behavioral observation. Analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s interactive model: data reduction, display, and verification through triangulation and member checking. Findings indicate that the program effectively strengthens religiosity through educator collaboration in activities such as congregational prayer, Qur’an recitation, spiritual studies, and digital ethics, enhancing student discipline and independence. Religious identity was reinforced through modeling, evaluation, and discussion, though digital distractions required close supervision. The roles of character-building teachers, Islamic education staff, and dormitory supervisors complemented one another, including innovations using digital media. Students’ responses were generally positive, influenced by internal and external motivations. Overall, the program fosters adaptive religiosity in the digital era while requiring improved monitoring and flexibility for sustainable outcomes.
