Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of gadget addiction on the religious morality of Muslim children in Southern Thailand. The phenomenon has emerged alongside the rapid development of digital technology and the increasing integration of gadgets into children’s daily lives. The primary objective of the research is to identify the factors contributing to the decline in children’s interest in religious activities, the rise of disobedience toward parents, and the decreasing participation in religious education. The study employed a qualitative case study approach, conducted in La’al Village, Saiburi, Pattani, with research subjects consisting of fifth and sixth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through interviews and documentation, then analyzed descriptively using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that gadget addiction significantly affects children’s spiritual, moral, and social development. Excessive gadget use leads to neglect of religious obligations, weakened ethical interactions with parents, and reduced involvement in religious education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how character values and religious moderation are integrated into school activities at SMP Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the integration of character values and religious moderation is carried out through habituation, teacher role models, cross-student religious activities, and a school culture that emphasizes tolerance and discipline. In conclusion, the integration of these values is effective because it is supported by a religious and inclusive school culture and the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers as role models and prime movers. These findings confirm that strengthening character and religious moderation can be achieved sustainably if all school members actively participate in building a tolerant, disciplined, and socially empathetic environment.

Abstract

This study examines the correlation between active participation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) courses and student behavior at Singaperbangsa University in Karawang. The background of this study is based on the importance of character building and positive student behavior in higher education amidst the challenges of the digital era and rapid social change, as well as the role of PAI in the process. The formulation of this research problem is to examine whether there is a positive correlation between students' activeness in attending PAI courses and their behavior. This study used a quantitative approach with survey method and correlational design, involving 81 undergraduate management students of Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang who took PAI courses. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured their participation in PAI courses and various aspects of student behavior. The results of the analysis showed a strong and statistically significant positive relationship between active participation in PAI courses and student behavior (r = 0.605, p 0.01). This finding indicates that students who are more active in PAI courses tend to exhibit more positive behaviors. This article contributes to the theoretical understanding of the effectiveness of PAI in shaping student behavior, and provides practical implications for curriculum developers and PAI lecturers to improve the quality of learning to foster positive behavior in students.

This study is a quantitative study with an ex-post facto method consisting of three variables, namely two independent variables and one dependent variable and a population of 182 people and a sample of 50 people at SMA Maha Putra Tello Makassar, Data collection in this study used a questionnaire instrument which was analyzed using descriptive and inferential methods. Statistical test results indicate a significant linear relationship between TikTok use and religious behavior. Partially, the intensity of TikTok use and the type of content accessed have a significant influence on religious behavior. The implication of this research is that TikTok use can have a significant impact on students' religious behavior, both positive and negative. Therefore, supervision, digital education, and the promotion of positive content are necessary to ensure responsible TikTok use and promote religious values and morality. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of parental social support and self-efficacy on students' happiness and the extent of each variable's contribution. With a quantitative approach and correlational method, 110 students of Daarul Fikri Integrated Islamic Boarding School Senior High School became respondents through total sampling and filling out a Likert scale questionnaire. The regression analysis results showed that parental social support significantly affected students' happiness (β = 0.130; p = 0.001), while self-efficacy did not have a significant effect partially (β = 0.053; p = 0.367). Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect (F = 6.855; p = 0.002) with R² = 0.115, meaning that this model can explain 11.5% of happiness. The implication of this research is that parental social support has a significant and positive influence on the happiness of students. However, students' self-efficacy does not have a significant partial effect on their happiness.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the effectiveness of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in promoting student learning outcomes, particularly in Islamic Religious Education and Moral Education subjects. The study was conducted as a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and implemented in class V-B of SDIT Plus Al-Muhsinin, Cangkuang District, Bandung Regency, during the 2024/2025 academic year. The number of students participating in the study was 17. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, formative tests, and interviews, which were then analyzed using a quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach. Findings from the first cycle indicated that student learning outcomes were still relatively low, with an average score of 67 and a classical completion rate of only 52.94%. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL model has been proven and can be recommended as an innovative and relevant alternative learning approach to be integrated into educational practices at the elementary school level, particularly by emphasizing teachers as key facilitators in implementing systematic patterns and providing motivational encouragement to students.
