Abstract

SMP Panglima Sudirman as an educational institution that has students from various cultures and religions. One of the religions in the school is Muslim. So that Islamic character education that focuses on the teachings of Luqmanul Hakim, Prophet Ibrahim, and Prophet Musa becomes the object of study in the implementation of the transformation of Islamic character education in an effort to form a superior generation at SMP Panglima Sudirman. Through qualitative research to explore the application of these values in the policies of those responsible for the school curriculum and their impact on the formation of student personality. It can be seen that through the research that has been carried out, it shows that the transformation of the teachings of the Qur'an in the curriculum, especially through the story of Luqmanul Hakim, Prophet Ibrahim, and Prophet Musa is reflected in the implementation of the policies of those responsible for the curriculum at SMP Panglima Sudirman. This contributes positively to forming students who have noble morals, have strong monotheism, and high enthusiasm for learning. In addition, the role of those responsible for the curriculum who support also helps in the development of students who excel academically, morally, and spiritually.

Abstract

The practice of Dhuha prayer in schools is an effort to shape students' good character. However, it is questionable whether this practice will truly impact students. Therefore, this research, conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas, aims to determine and analyze: (a) How Dhuha prayer is implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas (b) Whether students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas understand the essence of Dhuha prayer (c) The extent of the influence of Dhuha prayer practice in shaping the religious character of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas. The approach used in this research is quantitative, with the aid of SPSS 22 software. The research findings indicate that the practice of Dhuha prayer has a relationship in enhancing the religious character of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kebomas, with a Pearson Correlation of (0.547) r table (0.413). This represents a 30% success rate, meaning the remaining 70% is influenced by other factors. Therefore, the more frequent the practice of Dhuha prayer, the better the students' religious character. However, to shape character optimally, support from various parties, especially parents and the community, is needed. This Study proves that there is a positive influence of habit of dhuha prayer on students’ religious character. Further research also needs to examine other factors that influence the effectiveness of the habit of dhuha prayer in improving students’ religious character.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the analysis of government policy making during the old order, new order, and reform era towards Islamic education in Indonesia. A policy that is set arises because of problems that require proper handling. The research used is qualitative research with the type oflibrary research. While the data collection techniques used are data reduction methods, data presentation, data verification and for data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive methods and historical analysis. Based on this research, it was found that the policy of Islamic education during the old order had begun to be implemented but still at the elementary school level. During the new order, the development of Islamic education policy had reached higher education but there were obstacles that made Islamic education unrecognized. Whereas in the reform era, the implementation of Islamic Education policies in Indonesia was more at the stage of refinement of the old order and new order periods. Therefore, it can be analyzed that the Islamic education policy during the old order, new order and reform era showed a development that was adjusted to the times to answer the challenges of modernity that could increase individual potential.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies employed by teachers to address misconceptions in Islamic Education (PAI) learning for Grade 2 students at the Integrated Superior Elementary School (SDUT) Bumi Kartini Jepara. Misconceptions in PAI often arise due to students' limited understanding of fundamental topics such as the pillars of Islam, pillars of faith, and core Islamic values, which can hinder the learning process and comprehension of religious concepts. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive methodology, collecting data through document analysis, teacher and student interviews, and classroom observations. This approach aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of how teachers design and implement effective teaching techniques to eliminate students' misunderstandings. The findings reveal that teachers at SDUT Bumi Kartini employs four strategies: contextual learning with educational games, repetitive practice using audiovisual media, storytelling with projector-based digital media, and hands-on activities through creative projects. These strategies have proven effective in correcting misconceptions and improving students' understanding of religious concepts. The study highlights the importance of innovation in PAI teaching, particularly in addressing misconceptions commonly found in primary education. It emphasizes the need for educators to continuously develop adaptive and relevant teaching strategies. In conclusion, effective teacher strategies in overcoming misconceptions in PAI learning for Grade 2 students at SDUT Bumi Kartini Jepara involves interactive methods using digital media and the teacher's active role as a facilitator with a contextual approach to enhance students' understanding.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the social dynamics of Arabic language learning at the Al-Azhar Course. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. This research tries to solve the problem by describing the problems that occur. This is based on the consideration that the researcher wants to understand and study in depth and explain the social dynamics in Arabic language learning by focusing on data that refers to the disclosure of what the resource person said and then collects it in explanatory words and not in the form of numbers. The research results show that there are three aspects of social dynamics that occur in the Arabic language learning process at the Al-Azhar Pare Course Institute, namely; a) Communication aspect, interaction between students and teachers takes place smoothly and effectively. b) Collaboration aspect, students and teachers work together to achieve learning goals, c) Mutual respect aspect, it can be seen that students and teachers have an attitude of mutual respect.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse how Ibn Khaldun's thought can be implemented to the local culture that is studied in primary education institutions in Bukittinggi City. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach using literature studies. Data collected from 65 elementary schools and analysed along with several papers from various literatures related to character education, Ibn Khaldun, and Local Culture. The results of the study show that Ibn Khaldun's thought emphasises that teaching methods that are too harsh can damage the spirit of learning and hinder character development. In addition, the results of this study also show that the utilisation of local culture in education as an impact in using the local content curriculum, namely: Through the use of the concept of education as a process of human acculturation, the process of acculturation is an effort to shape the behaviour and attitudes of a person based on science and skills, and ensure consistency between the objectives of education with the formation of cultured human beings.

Abstract

The aim of this research is 1) To find out what efforts teachers make to shape the behavior of new students at the Miftahul Huda Al Wustho Boyolali Islamic boarding school for the 2023/2024 academic year. 2) To find out the obstacles in shaping the behavior of new students at the Miftahul Huda Al Wustho Boyolali Islamic boarding school for the 2023/2024 academic year. In this research the researcher used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. The setting for this research was carried out at the Miftahul Huda Al Wustho Boyolali Islamic boarding school. The researcher's data collection technique used three research methods, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The result and conclusion of this research are the homeroom teacher's efforts in shaping student behavior. It can be concluded that the homeroom teacher's efforts in shaping student character include: good school principal management. Teachers set examples for students so that students see and imitate them. Implement learning programs with adequate facilities so that students do not get bored. Carrying out worship activities such as dhikr, memorization and prayer. Always carry out evaluations of activities during learning so that existing problems can be immediately resolved. Factors that hinder teachers' efforts to shape student behavior are bad student behavior, parents who are indifferent to their children's conditions and student environmental factors. Apart from that, there are also supporting factors, so that these obstacles can be resolved, including teachers working together and adequate learning facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the tarekat-based dzikrullah model through the riyadhah approach in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a strategy to deepen spirituality and strengthen Islamic character in the midst of the challenges of the materialistic and secular modern era. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing theories and concepts from various sources related to the practice of dzikrullah, tarekat, and riyadhah, as well as their impact in the context of education. The results of the study show that the dzikrullah model which is carried out consistently through the approach of tarekat and riyadhah plays a significant role in improving the spiritual quality of students. This model is effective in creating a conducive learning environment, solemn, and focuses on the development of religious values. In addition, this approach also contributes to the formation of noble morals and spiritual discipline of students, which has a positive impact on their daily lives.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the BKI ustaz's strategy in forming the character of the santri, to find out the dominant character possessed by the santri and the supporting and inhibiting factors in the formation of Islamic character at the Tahfizhul Qur'an Muhammadiyah Atmo Wahjono Islamic Boarding School. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation involving ustaz, students and Islamic boarding school caregivers. The results of the research show that the character building of santri is carried out in several forms, namely: approaching the ustadz and santri, getting used to the santri's lifestyle, inauguration of IPM, and regular counseling services for santri who need it. The dominant santri characters are: the character of gratitude, the character of faith, and the character of being kind to parents. The supporting factors are: good management performance, good interaction between students and ustadz, guardians of students who support the implementation of the regulations, the presence of Islamic boarding school ustadz (BKI) and psychiatrists and support from community leaders. Inhibiting factors are: student behavior patterns which are sometimes difficult to regulate and lack of support from student guardians in educating students, especially students who are experiencing problems.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the holistic paradigm in Islamic education through a Tarbawi Tafsir study of QS Al-Qashash verse 77, which emphasizes the importance of balance between worldly life and the hereafter and encourages good deeds. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature study methods, with the primary data source being the Qur’an, and secondary sources including various classical and contemporary tafsir texts as well as relevant journal articles. The results indicate that the holistic paradigm in Islamic education can shape individuals who are balanced in academic knowledge and character, and who play active roles in society. The conclusion of this study is expected to strengthen the holistic paradigm aligned with the principle of balance as outlined in QS Al-Qashash verse 77 and to be applicable in everyday life.
