Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the mean learning outcomes of mathematics students through model of problem-based learning with the mean mathematics student learning outcomes through the model jigsaw cooperative, and which is higher than both. The population of this study is all students of class VII Mts Miftahul Ulum Gisting which amounted to 56 students. The Sample of this research is the class VII.2 amounted to 23 students as experimental class and class VII.1 amounted to 23 students as control class. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, there are differences in mean learning outcomes between the empirical class and control class, and the average learning outcome of the experimental class is higher than the control class.  Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The ability of mathematical reflective thinking is the ability of a person to choose previously owned concepts or knowledge that are relevant or appropriate to be used in making decisions when faced with mathematical problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of mathematical reflective thinking in terms of the sex differences of eighth grade students of SMP N 11 Bandar Lampung. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. Subject collection using purposive random sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 6 students from class VIII A consisting of 3 male students and 3 female students, and 6 students from class VIII B consisting of 3 male students and 3 female students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis from class VIII A obtained the average value of mathematical reflective thinking abilities of male students 67,36 and the average value of mathematical reflective thinking abilities of female students reached 100, while for grade VIII B obtained an average value mathematical reflective thinking ability of male students 52,08 and female students 97,22. Thus it can be concluded that the students 'mathematical reflective thinking ability is better than the male students' reflective thinking ability. Keywords:  Mathematical Reflective Thinking Ability, Gender

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the problems solving level of students math education study program STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung in the academic year of 2018-2019 in solving the convergence of sequences and series of real numbers on the advanced calculus subject.  Data analysis techniques were used to analyze the results of students' answers in achieving the indicators of problem solving skills. The result obtained the phase of understanding the problems in the amount of 86%, the phase of choosing the right strategy to overcome the problems was 69%, the process of solving the problem correctly and systematically was 45%, the phase of re-examining the precision The results showed that the ability of students to understand the problem was very good, the ability of students to choose the right strategy to solve good problems, the ability of students to solve problems correctly and systematically enough, and the ability of students to re-check the accuracy of the strategy chosen and the truth of problem solving still very less

Abstract

Abstrak Match is one subject which has important role in daily live. In implementing of learning by using drill method, the students have better level in understanding the material. It caused the students have the experience and routine practice in understanding match concepts for themselves even it has done individually or in group. The formulation of problem of in this research is how students score in drill method implementation? This research objective is to describe implementation of drill method in correction and function materials and to know characteristic of KKM students score. This research is action research. The subject of research is students of VIII-5 SMP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung Kabupaten Pringsewu. Based on the result of analysis data in cycle 1, the result of students score was 34,38%. Whereas students score in cycle 2 improved with score 53,12%, so the improving was 87,5%. Based on KKM percentage result it can be determined completely and it can conclude that students score of VIII-5 SMP Muhamamdiyah Pringsewu Lampung improved in using drill method. Abstract

Calculus is one of the subjects that must be taken by students majoring in mathematics education at the Teachers' Training College Siliwangi, this course is given to students in semester 4. From the analysis of learning obstacle, it can be seen that almost all mahsaiswa have difficulty learning in a calculus course. This is because the factors that influence in solving the problems given by the researchers. From the test results can also be seen the answer given by many students who make mistakes, be it in using formulas, operating, to answer directly without a process and students can not memjawab about a given test. These difficulties lead to poor results. It can be concluded that mahsiwa not been able to understand the material given or students only attend learning without any understanding of the material provided.

Abstract

ABSTRACTTeacher centered learning patterns cause drowsiness, lack of enthusiasm, and many who do not pay attention.This lack of learning innovation is thought to cause low student learning outcomes.To overcome this problem, one of them is by applying the ASSURE model. The purpose of this study is to find out (1) there are differences in the average student mathematics learning outcomes with learning using the ASSURE model with students' mathematics learning outcomes with direct learning models. (2) the average mathematics learning outcomes of students who learn using the ASSURE model are higher than students whose learning uses direct learning. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the statistical test t, because the data is homogeneous and comes from a population that is normally distributed. From the results of the data analysis it can be concluded that there are differences in the average student learning outcomes using ASSURE model learning with direct learning and the average learning outcomes of the ASSURE model is higher than the direct learning model.Keywords: ASSURE Learning Model, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research was conducted in class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Palembang totaling 36 students in polynomial material carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques used in this study were tests and observations, with instruments in the form of test questions and observation sheets. Based on the result of the analysis it was concluded that mathematics learning in polynomial material through Discovery Learning can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students of class XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Palembang on the material. In the first cycle students who had completed were 55.55% with an average of 75.69. Then in the second cycle, students who have completed increased to 69.44% with an average of 80.58.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to find out whether or not there is an influence oflearning model creative problem solving on the ability of mathematical problem solving and mathematical disposition of students in Palembang 19 Junior High School. This research is an experimental study with the treatment design of Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class VII Palembang 19 State Junior High Schools. The cluster sampling technique obtained class VII.1 as an experimental class and class VII.2 as a control class. The experimental class is treated withlearning models creative problem solving, while the control class is treated with conventional learning. Data collection techniques using tests and questionnaires. Data analysis technique uses t test (independent sample t-test). Based on the results of the analysis 1) there is the influence oflearning model creative problem solving on the mathematical problem-solving ability of students of SMP Negeri 19 Palembang. 2) there is the influence of learning models creative problem solving on mathematical dispositions of students of Palembang State 19 Middle School.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Creative Problem Solving Learning Model, Mathematical Disposition

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran NHT menggunakan pendekatan CTL dengan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran TPS menggunakan pendekatan CTL, (2) rata-rata hasil belajar metematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT menggunakan pendekatan CTL lebih baik dari pada rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan pendekatan CTL. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sukoharjo tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yakni dengan cluster random sampling. metode pengambilan sampel dengan menggunkan tes pilihan ganda dengan empat alternatif jawaban. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan Analisis Variansi (anava) satu jalan dengan sel yang sama dengan uji prasyarat normalitas dan homogenitas data. Berdasarkan analisis data disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran NHT menggunakan pendekatan CTL dengan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran TPS menggunakan pendekatan CTL dan dengan melihat rerata pada masing-masing kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar metematika siswa yang dikenai melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT menggunakan pendekatan CTL lebih baik dari pada rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diperoleh melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan pendekatan CTL.Key Word : Numbered Head Together (NHT), Think Pair Share (TPS, Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) , gaya belajar

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of the research is to find out the feasibility of the contextual approach LKS in mathematics learning both by teachers and students. This type of research uses research and development (R & D) with the steps used. The steps taken are limited to seven stages, due to time constraints so the steps of the research according to Sugiono are not fully implemented. Sampling was carried out by MTs Assa'adah Cicurug. Data collection techniques were carried out using student response questionnaires and teacher response questionnaires. From the response test the teacher got a score of 3.57 with very interesting criteria. Then the field trial from the school conducted by the students' questionnaire responses obtained an average score of 3.4 with the number of students testing at MTs Assa'adah 32 with very interesting criteria. The results of the validation of material experts obtained an average score of 3.27 with good criteria. Validation of media experts gained an average score of 3.23 with good criteria. Validation of Islamic scholars gained an average score of 3.13 with good criteria. It can be concluded that Islamic LKS with contextual approach to SPLDV material is categorized as very feasible and interesting to be used in learning at the eighth grade junior high school / MTs level.Keywords: LKS has an Islamic nuance, Contextual, SPLDV
