Abstract: This pre-experimental design aimed to find out the effect of mind mapping technique in writing descriptive texts. This pre-experimental research was used one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this research was the first year students of SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. The partcipants were 39 students. The reasons for conducting this research because of several problems: the students faced some problem in terms of vocabulary and grammar. Furthermore, the students have difficulties to develop their ideas in writing descriptive text. The steps of research procedure are conducting pre-test, treatment, post-test and data analysis. The data were assessed by the three raters and analyzed by using t-test formula. The data analysis showed that the implementation of mind mapping technique as the teaching technique was effective to improve students’ ability in writing descriptive texts. The finding also proved that in the pre-test students’ average score was only 58.72 and it improved to 76.07 in the post-test. In addition, applying mind mapping as a teaching technique in English language teaching and learning could also improve students’ ability to write English in terms of grammar, vocabulary, mechanic, organization, and fluency.Keywords: Mind Mapping Technique, Ability, Writing, Descriptive Text

Abstract : This study aims to improve basic movements of dance arts and cultural offerings in the learning and skills of fourth grade at SDN 19 prairie flat through the application of training methods. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students of SDN 19 school year 2011/2012 the number of students as many as 34 people. While the object of this study is to improve basic motor skills through the application of methods of dance training offerings. The research was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle consisted of two meetings with the end of the cycle and replicates as well as on the second cycle. Data collection instrument in this study is the observation sheet teacher, student observation sheet, sheet assessment process and outcomes assessment sheets. Percentage of students' ability level before action was 1223 with the average category 35.97, less capable. At UAS I rose to the level of student ability 2065 with an average of 60.73, the categories are quite capable. While the level of basic motor skills of dance offerings after the action (UAS II) was 2715 with an average of 79.85, the category can afford. Improved basic motor skills of students before the dance offerings until after the action 44.06. Data collection using instruments and teacher observation sheet observation sheets students, percentage of student learning activities in the first cycle and the first meeting of the second cycle 40.62% 93.65% second meeting increased 52.39%, next activity of teachers in the first cycle and the first meeting of the second cycle of 75% 97. increased 22.22%. From the above it shows that through the application of training methods to improve basic motor skills of dance arts and cultural offerings in the learning and skills of fourth grade at SDN 19 Padang Datar Kecamatan Tanjung Emas Sumatera Barat.Keywords: Method Drill, Dance Basic Motion Capability Offerings

Abstract: The Research about application of the learning inquiry was conducted to improve student’s achievement on the topic of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI IPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. This research was experimental research based on pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class Xl IPA 5 as the control class and students of class XI IPA 4 as the experimental class that randomly selected after testing homogeneity. Test experimental class was applied learning inquiry, while the control class was not. Applied data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tarithmetic> ttable is 2,27 > 1,66, means that the application of learning inquiry can improve student achievement on the subject the result solubility and solubility product constant in class XI Science SMAN 10 Pekanbaru go with the inereasing percentage of 7,09%.KeyWords : Learning inquiry, Learning Achievement . Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the practicalities of product resulting from the research design and validation devices alternative electromagnetic induction experiment that has been done before. There are 15 students and 4 teachers from three senior high school in the city of Pekanbaru has been participated in this research. Data analyzed by using desciptif statistic. Data was collected by using the practicality questionnaire, interview protocol, and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis question form (questionnaire) obtained the value of the practicality of experimental device according to the teacher. Experimental tools and guides its use can help facilitate the teacher in the learning process of electromagnetic induction with the acquisition value of the practicality of the product is at high and very high category so device experiment practical used the teacher. From the results of question form (questionnaire) test the practicalities according to student, experimental device given ease in studying electromagnetic induction with the score on categories of high and very high. So the device experimental and guide book also practical used student. The practicality of experimental devices are supported by the results of the interviews and observations of research that given the same description that alternative electromagnetic induction experiment device can facilitate teacher and student in the learning process of electromagnetic induction.Key word : Practicality, alternative experiment device of electromagnetic induction.

Abstract : This study aims to describe how the students' problem solving skills through the implementation of the model SOLO (the structure of the observed learning outcomes) in physics learning in class XI traffic Interest Physics SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru in November until January 2016 using One shot chase study design. Subjects consisted of 38 students consisting of 15 male students and 23 female students. Data was collected by giving the test description about 5 question in the end of the study with the implementation of SOLO. From the results of the research showed that the student's skills in solving problems is very low category with an average score of 63. The skills of students at the stage of understanding the problem is the very high category with an average score of 90. The skills of students in the planning stages of problem solving are the very low category with an average score of 56. The skills of students at the stage of implementing the settlement of the problem is the very low category with an average score of 65. And the skills of students on stage to re-examine the solution in the category are very low with an average score at 41. It can be concluded that the learning model SOLO ineffective to train problem-solving skills in learning physics class XI traffic interest Physics SMAN 12 Pekanbaru.Key Words : Physics, Problem Solving Skills, SOLO Model

Abstract: This research aimed to determine the increase student’s ability of the reasoning formal with Lerning Cycle 5E model and conventional through the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang. Population of this research is class VIII consisting of 2 class. Sample taken is 2 class. Techniques determining the experiment’s class and control’s class with Simple Random Sampling. This research was conducted in MTsN Sungai Tonang precisely in July until December 2015. The design of this research was a Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection Instruments in this research was the test learning outcomes the ability of reasoning formal given before and after learning. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential. The result analiysis descriptif showed absorpsion that after learning implementation of the learning cycle 5E model is 74.4% category of good. The result inferential obtained significant value 0.00 (0.00 < 0.05) then Ha accepted, so it can be concluded that significant different against the student’s reasoning formal the science physics learning class VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang the application of Learning Cycle 5E model with class the application conventional learning. Abstrack: This research aims to determine the increasing in student’s generic skill through the implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model in physics science learning process at grade VIII MtsN Sungai Tonang. The population of this research is class VIII consisting of 2 classes. Samples taken are 2 classes, determination technique experimental class and control class are by simple random sampling. This research was conducted in MTsN Sungai Tonang from July to December 2015. The design of this research was a True Experimental with Posttest-Only Control Design. Instrument of collecting data in this research is achievement test generic skill which given after learning. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential. Descriptive analysis of student’s generic skill after learning with implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model is 76,02% including the category of well. The results of inferential analysis obtained by value thitung > ttabel ( 4,015 > 2,028 ) , so we can conclude there is a significant difference to the generic skill applying Learning Cycle 5E model with a class that implements conventional teaching with a 95% confidence level . From both of the analysis, it can be concluded that implementation of Learning Cycle 5E model effective to improve student’s generic skill physics science learning process at grade VIII MTsN Sungai Tonang.Key Words: Generic Skill, Learning Cycle 5E, Force and Acceleration2

Abstract : This research was carried out starting from an average many IPS students' learning outcomes with a low number of students who did not complete that 12 students 60% while the category amounted to 8 students complete 40%. The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes IPS with the implementation of cooperative learning model of Make A Match. So we propose the following problem lies, whether the implementation of cooperative learning model of Make A Match can improve learning outcomes Elementary School third grade students 001 Japura? This research method using Action Research (PTK), the study was conducted in two cycles with each cycle two meetings and one ulagan times daily. The study involved third grade students of SD Negeri 001 Japura many as 20 students. This action was conducted from March to April 2015. The results of the data obtained from the social studies beginning with an average of 59.75 categorized less with mastery of at least 70 with KKM standards. In the first cycle UH I gained an average of 73.75 IPS learning outcomes with enough categories, and the second cycle II UH learning outcomes increased to 80.50 categorized either. Results of the study in the first cycle, the teacher during the learning process is less understood methods of cooperative Make A Match making it difficult to apply. But in the second cycle, Make A Match cooperative method can already be applied to the fullest. It is marked with the number of students who pass in this social studies. Conclusions from this research is the type of cooperative model of Make A Match been successfully applied optimally in the results of social studies class III Elementary School 001 Japura.Keywords: Cooperative Learning Model Make A Match, learning outcomes IPS.PENERAPAN

Abstrack : About problem in this research is its low result study IPA that acquired student, this appears from peneletian's startup data at SDN 001 Peranap with average which is 62,5. Of 18 students which reach points according to KKM (Minimum thoroughness criterion) as much 8 students (44,44%), meanwhile student that haven't reached KKM'S point as much 10 students (55,56%), KKM'S point that dittapkan which is 65. Base about problem that needs to be done by action research brazes with kooperatif's learning model type Student Teams Achiviementdivision (STAD).This research intent to increase IPS'S studying result student brazes v SDN 001 Peranap school year 2014 / 2015 by total student 18 consisting of person 8 males and 10 females. With be applied Model Kooperatif's Learning Type Student Teams Achiviementdivision (STAD), therefore gets to increase IPA'S studying result student brazes v SDN 001 Peranap on simple Plane material. It can at see of thoroughness result studies individual and klasikal is student which is on students base score which complete which is as much 8 students with averagely 62,5 by thoroughness percentage 44,4%, with category Is Not Complete, worked up on i. cycle which is student which complete as much 13 students with averagely 67,5 by thoroughness percentage 72,2% by complete categories. Worked up again on cycle II.which is student which complete as much 17 students with averagely 78,3 by thoroughness percentage 94,4%. On activity learns and student also experience step-up on each its cycle. Activity learns on first cycle with percentage 78,70 worked up as 95,82% on second cycle. Student activity on first cycle with percentage 70,83% worked up as 91,66% on second cycle. Dari 18 orang siswa yang mencapai nilai sesuai dengan KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum) sebanyak 8 orang siswa (44,44%), sedangkan siswa yang belum mencapai nilai KKM sebanyak 10 orang siswa (55,56%), nilai KKM yang dittapkan yaitu 65. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut perlu dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achiviement Division (STAD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V SDN 001 Peranap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang yang terdiri dari 8 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan. Dengan diterapkannya Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Teams Achiviement Division (STAD), maka dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN 001 Peranap pada materi Pesawat Sederhana. Hal ini dapat di lihat dari hasil ketuntasan belajar individu dan klasikal siswa yaitu pada skor dasar siswa yang tuntas yaitu sebanyak 8 orang siswa dengan rata-rata 62,5 dengan persentase ketuntasan 44,4%, dengan kategori Tidak Tuntas, meningkat pada siklus I yaitu siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 13 orang siswa dengan rata-rata 67,5 dengan persentase ketuntasan 72,2% dengan kategori tuntas. Meningkat lagi pada siklus II yaitu siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 17 orang siswa dengan rata-rata 78,3 dengan persentase ketuntasan 94,4%. Pada aktivitas guru dan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Aktivitas guru pada siklus pertama dengan persentase 78,70 meningkat menjadi 95,82% pada siklus kedua. Aktivitas siswa pada siklus pertama pertama dengan persentase 70,83% meningkat menjadi 91,66% pada siklus kedua. Dari data yang diperoleh seperti diatas dapat diketahui bahwa melalui Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achiviement Division (STAD), dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN 001 Peranap.Key word: Kooperatif, Tipe STAD, IPA'S Learned result
