Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of research are to know the improvement of student learning achievement and value of influence by implementing of learning model probing prompting on the structure ofatoms in the class X SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. The from on the study was an experiment with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted two class, class X MIPA 4 as experiment class and class X MIPA 3 as control class randomly determined after the normality test using Liliefors testand homogenity test. Instrument in this research is a question of atomic structure that has been test validation and reliability. The Results LKPD of the test is 89,5% and results reliability of the test is 0,937. Hypothesis was done by using test-t right side. Research result shown that the implementation of learning model probing-prompting can improve students learning achievement on the strukture of atoms where tcount=3,14> ttable = 1,66.Key Words : Learning ModelProbing-Prompting, Learning Achievement, Structure of Atomic

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase mathematics achievement from the students with applied discovery learning model. The subject of this research is the students of class XI MIA 1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru at the first semester in academic year 2018/2019, which total of participants are 31 students, consists of 11 male students and 20 female students with heterogeneous ability. This research has two cycles. Each cycle has four meetings and one test. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and learning outcome test. The data analysis of students and teacher activity showed that the learning process has improved after the discovery learning model being implemented. The data of the student’s evaluation test showed that the persentage of students reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) increase from the basic score to first test, from first test to second test. The results of this research showed an increasing of students achievement where the basic score 29,0% to the first test 48,4%, the second test 74,2%. For the skills achievement score of the first test 71,0%, the second test 90,3%. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of discovery learning model can improve learning process and increase student’s mathematics achievement at class XI MIA 1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out the listening comprehension ability of the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau. The population of this research is the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau. The number of sample is 34 students selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument to collect the data were multiple choice test items with 15 questions and true or false test items with 15 questions. The test constructed by referring to the components of listening comprehension that is listening to specific information, listening for main idea, listening for inference, listening for making evaluation, and listening for making appreciation. The data were analyzed by classifying them into four levels of mastery, such as poor, poor to average, average to good, and good to excellent. Based on the findings this research, it was found that the students’ listening comprehension ability of the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau was in average to good level with the mean score was 70.3. The implication of this research is that the second year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau have a good ability in listening comprehension.Key Words: Students’ ability, Listening comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase in student learning achievement by applying cooperative learning models talking chips type to Atomic Structure material in class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The form of this study uses the Pretest-Posttest Design Randomized Control Group. The sample consisted of class X MIA 5 as the experimental class and X MIA 6 as the control class which was randomly selected after the normality test and homogeneity test. The experimental class is a class that applies the cooperative learning model of talking chips. The data analysis technique uses test techniques. Testing the hypothesis using the T test with α = 0.05 obtained by Tcount> Ttable (1.98> 1.66). Based on hypothesis testing it was concluded that the application of cooperative learning models talking chips type can improve student learning achievement in the Atomic Structure material in class X MIA SMAN 12 Pekanbaru..Key Words: Atomic structure, learning achievement, cooperative learning modeltype talking chips

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is that athletes do not yet have maximal limb muscle power, the result of a not so high jump when doing jump service, blocking, and smash. Then the position of the hand when hitting the ball is still not right, so that the smash is done just to miss the ball being hit from the net. The player's jump in doing a smash is not high enough, so the athlete has difficulty directing a hard punch towards the opposing field. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plyometrics star jump training on the power of the athletes' leg muscles Palapa Junior Volley Ball Team Duri. The population and samples in this study were the 10 teams of the Palapa Junior Volley Ball Team Duri. The instrument used to collect data is the pre test and postal test of leg muscle explosive power with a vertical jump test. The data analysis technique used is the t test. Based on the results of the pree test and the athlete's straight jump post test for the Palapa Junior Volley Ball Team Duri there was an average increase of 14.89% with the t test that thitung = 12,531> of t table = 1,833. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of star jump plyometrics training on limb muscle explosive power on Palapa Junior Volley Ball Team Duri.Key Words: Plyometrics Star Jump, Power Muscle

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the influence of learning motivation and learning outcomes towards school environment students in SMA Negeri 1 batang cenaku. The population in this research is the whole grade XI IPS in SMA Negeri 1 batang cenaku as much as 56 students and on research using sample census technique where all the population sample was made namely 56 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire about motivation and learning environment of schools that distributed to respondents. Data analysis data analysis using linear multiple regression test. Based on the results of the research of the influence of motivation and learning environment of the school towards the learning outcomes grade XI IPS on economic subjects in SMA Negeri 1 stalk Rantau Langsat is 0.479 or 47.9% 52.1% while the rest is influenced by other factors are not examined in this study such as physical factors, fatigue, family circumstances, and the public.Key Wods : Learning motivation, school environment, learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted due to limited mathematics learning devices to facilitate mathematical problem solving ability students. This research aims to produce mathematic learning instruments like syllabus, lesson plan (LP), student worksheet (SW), and assessment instrument using problem solving strategies in cooperative learning model student teams achievement division (stad) type for phytagorean theorm which valid and practicality. Development model used is 4-D model that consist of define, design, development and disseminate, but disseminate didn’t do because this purpose of study just produce devices which valid and practicality and got it on development step. Devices compiled was validated by three validators and revised based on the suggestions of validators. Based on the result of data analysis shows average score for syllabus are 3,67, LP are 3.86, SW are 3.87, and for assessment instrument are 3,57. Devices was categorized as very valid. Device was valeted are conducted two trials for a small group on 9 students in class VIII10 state junior high school 06 Pekanbaru only using SW and a large group on 37 students of class VIII6 state junior high school 06 Pekanbaru using LP and SW. The result of the analysis of practically in the learning device from theacher are 97,33%, for practically of the SW in the small group are 97,22%, and in the largegroup are 96,41% which was categorized as very practical.Key Words: Learning Devices, Problem Solving Strategies, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

Abstract: Abstract: This research is entitled Typography in Abdul Kadir Ibrahim's Collection of Love Mantra Verses. The background of this research is that typography is present as a freedom from the expression of the writer to give birth to his poems. The poet's freedom is felt when a work has essential freedom, one of which is not bound by rules, forms, and lines. The creative process in giving birth to a poem is inseparable from the imagination of the poet's exploration. The purpose of this study is to describe the typography of a collection of love poems written by Abdul Kadir Ibrahim and describe the intrinsic elements in the collection of poems of love mantra by Abdul Kadir Ibrahim, which are related to the meaning seen through Saussure's semiotic approach. This research is descriptive qualitative research that describes and describes the results of the research conducted. Based on research, the author found that typography made by poets mostly relates to what the poet wants to convey to the reader.Key Words: Typography, collection of poems, love spells, Abdul Kadir Ibrahim.

Abstract

Abstract: The regency is the division of administrative territory in Indonesia after the province led by a regent. Districts and cities are autonomous regions which are authorized to regulate and manage their own government affairs. Bengkalis is one of the districts of Riau Province, Bengkalis is a large district in Riau Province. Established in 1958 in accordance with the establishment of a legitimate district government, many efforts were made by the government in establishing Bengkalis Regency. The purpose of this study is (a) To find out the origin of the name of Bengkalis Regency (b) To find out the past journey of Bengkalis Regency before its establishment as a district area (c) To find out the process of establishing Bengkalis Regency. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. Qualitative method is a method that does not use numbers in data collection and in providing interpretation of the results. The results of this study are that Bengkalis Regency was established based on Law No.12 of 1956 State Gazette No. 25 of 1956 concerning the Establishment of District Autonomy in the Regional Environment of Central Sumatra Province, then after the establishment of Riau Province, Bengkalis officially stood as a legitimate district under the Act Emergency Act No. 19 of 1957, then invited back under Law No. 61 of 1958.Key Words: Establishment, Bengkalis Regency

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental study was conducted by using One-Group Pretest-Posttest design to find out whether or not there is a significant effect of using ‘Six Thinking Hats Strategy’ on the ability of the second year students of SMP Telkom Pekanbaru in comprehending recount text. The sample of the research was 31 students of class VIII.b and obtained by using simple random sampling technique. 25 multiple choices of recount text was the instrument of the test. The students’ scores were analyzed by using Microsoft Excel 2010 and Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 23.0 for windows. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test (64.64>52.25). Then, it also showed that t-test was higher than t-table (10.51>2.04) at significance level of 5%. Therefore, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using‘Six Thinking Hats Strategy’ on the ability of the second year students of SMP Telkom Pekanbaru in comprehending recount text.Key Words: Effect, Six Thinking Hats, Recount Text
