Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research is aimed to find out whether there are significant effect of Know, Want, Learned (KWL) Plus strategy on reading narrative texts of the first year students of SMAN 1 Rokan IV Koto.Thus, the problem to be discussed is: Is there any significant effect of using KWL Plus strategy on reading narrative texts of the first year students of SMAN 1 Rokan IV Koto. The design of the research was one group pretest-posttest design and conducted at SMAN 1 Rokan IV Koto. Cluster sampling method was used to select one class of students to become the sample. Some, 32 students of the first year students at the second semester of academic year 2015/2016 were chosen as the sample. The research sample was given treatment by using KWL Plus strategy as media in teaching reading. The instrument used was given the multiple choice test and the obtained data was analyzed by using SPSS version 16.0 for Windows. The results of the data analysis illustrates that there are significant effect of KWL Plus strategy on the students’ writing ability.Keywords: reading narrative text, KWL Plus strategy.

Abstract

Abstrac: The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a contribution of flexural wrists and hand eye coordination with the ability to pass on the volleyball team of SMA 3 Tapung, Kampar District. This study is a correlational study as the independent variable (X1) is the flexibility of the wrist, (X2) is hand eye coordination, and as the dependent variable (Y) is the upper passing ability. The population in this study was the volleyball team of SMA 3 Tapung, Kamper Regency, which amounted to 14 people. The sample technique used is total sampling, where all populations are sampled. Thus the sample in this study amounted to 14 samples. The instruments used were the wrist flexibility test, the hand eye coordination test, and the top passing test. After that, the data was processed with statistics, to test the normality by the liliefors test at a significant level α (0.05). Based on the results of research and data processing using statistical research procedures, it is concluded that there is no significant contribution between Eye and Hand Detection and Eye and Hand Coordination with Upper Passing Ability where at the level of α 0.05 r count 0.181 <rtable 0.532 and KD value = 3.28%.Key Words: Wrist Flexibility, Hand Eye Coordination, Upper Passing

Abstract

Abstrack : The objectives of this research were to know the effect of learning facilities that used by student of class X, dan XI IPS in SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan Kecamatan Kuantan Tengah Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. The population of this research was the class X dan XI IPS SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan amount 209 people and the sample amount 137 people. The collected data used questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis of this research used simle linier regression. Research result based on simple linier regression showed that the using of learning facilities influence on student learning outcomes of class X dan XI IPS in SMAN 1 Teluk Kuantan this can be seen from a constant value (a) of 46,000 and the value coefisien regression (b) of 0,351 with a regresiion equation 46,000 + 0,351. According the calculation of R (R squer change) obtained a value of 0,392. It means that the contribution of the influence of the use learning facilities on learning outcomes by 39,2%.Key word : Learning facilities, learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years in early childhood Nazla Assyifa district handsome Pekanbaru and to know how much gross motor skills through play bowling. Researchers conducted action research through observation of the child's gross motor skills by developing indicators based on the regulation number 58 of 2009. From the results of research and discussion, we concluded that gross motor skills of children aged 4-5 years in early childhood Nazla Assyifa Pekanbaru, the results of research 2 cycles improves significantly compared with the pre-cycle average of 43.33%. In the first cycle of gross motor skills children have started to experience an increase in the average 57.96%, which is continued in the next cycle gross motor skills by an average of 84.63% with criteria developed according to expectations (BSH). In the first cycle of the child's activity on average by 50.06% Less criteria (K), while the second cycle of the child's activity has increased on average by 76.13% with criteria Good (B). In the first cycle of teachers on average by 55.55% Less criteria (K), while the second cycle of teachers has increased by an average of 85.18% with criteria Good (B). From these results it can be concluded that the bowling gave a positive response to child childhood Nazla Assyifa District Charming Pekanbaru. can improve gross motor skills with the percentage of 84.63%.Key words: Gross motor skills, play Bowling

Abstract

Abstract: Language Style is the formality construct of the language used tocommunicate with other people. This study aims to analyze the types of language style used and the dominant type used in “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” movie. The movie is classified as a young-adult romantic movie directed by Susan Johnson and was released on August 17 2018 on Netflix. The source of the data was taken from the script of “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” movie. The research design is a descriptive qualitative research. The analysis is based on the five language styles adopted from Martin Joos’ (1976) theory; they are frozen style, formal style, consultative style, casual style and intimate style. The result shows that there are thirty (30) data from the conversation in the movie to perform the language styles. The collected data can be concluded that the type of style occurs dominantly in the movie is intimate style. The thirty cases comprise of intimate (eleven cases), consultative (nine cases), casual (sevencases), formal (three cases) and frozen (none) style. This means that intimate style is prominently proved to be used in communication within family relation and close friends. Based on the result of the study, it is fruitful to suggests the students of English Department to do further analysis about the five language styles used in other resources like movies, novels, or articles.Key Words: Language Style, Movie, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Abstracts : This research was motivated by the inheritance disputes that occur in society Batak Toba Mandau sub Bengkalis. Caused by the erosion of a sense of family kinship, especially in Batak society. As an alternative solution used is through the Act, namely Consulting, Negotiation, Mediation, Conciliation and Artbitrase and through Customary Law ie Marhata (family council) and the Institute of Traditional. The problem of this research is How the Inheritance Dispute Resolution In Batak Toba Society Saber In District Bengkalis? The purpose of this study is to explain the Community Dispute Resolution Waris Batak Toba Saber In District Bengkalis. The study population was Batak Toba people who have had disputes of inheritance amounted to 23 people, indigenous leader 1 and the sample was 24 people. Data collection instruments which the questionnaire consists of 34 questions. Analysis of data using qualitative descriptive analysis. These results indicate that the community Batak Toba Mandau sub Bengkalis in resolving disputes and inheritance seen from the percentage 24 as much as 28.13% of respondents categorized rarely use the Act, whereas 58.34% are categorized often use Customary Law with the highest percentage 54.17 % by respondents as many as 13 respondents using Marhata way (the family council).Keywords: Inheritance dispute,community batak toba

Abstract

AbstrakThe study was based on the low learning outcomes Elementary School fourth grade students Teratak Buluh 014. Of the 22 students who achieved KKM only 9 people. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes Elementary School fourth grade Teratak Buluh 014 with the application of learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning. The results of the activity of the teacher 's first meeting of the first cycle first cycle percentage of 62.50 % with enough categories, increased in the second meeting be categorized either 68.75 %. At the first meeting of the second cycle increased with the percentage of 81.25 % in both categories at once and the second meeting of the second cycle of 87.50 % categorized very well. The results of the first cycle activity students first encounter the first cycle enough percentage of 56.25 % category, increasing the percentage of 75.00 % second meeting either category. At the first meeting of the second cycle increased to 81.25 % categorized very well. At the second meeting of the second cycle increased to 87.50 % categorized very well. Mastery learning students on the basis of scores of students who completed 9 students who did not complete while 13 students , with classical completeness 40.90 % (not finished). At the end of the first cycle of repeat students who complete 15 incomplete whereas 7 students, with classical completeness 68.18 % (not finished). At the end of the second cycle replications increased thoroughness, students who pass the 20 students who did not complete while 2 students, with classical completeness 90.90 % ( complete ). It can be concluded that the application of learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning can improve learning outcomes IPS Elementary School fourth grade students Teratak Buluh 014. Abstract

Abstract: Background problem in this research is the lack of science student learning outcomes, which can be seen in students' grades. The research was conducted in Pekanbaru. In the second semester of the 2015/2016 Academic Year. With this research subject is class IV A SDN 165 Pekanbaru by the number of students 37 people. The number of students who do not reach KKM many as 16 people with a percentage of 43.24%, while the number of students who reached the KKM many as 21 people with a percentage of 56.75% with the average - average grade 65.45. KKM has been established in schools, 73. According to this problem, this research uses classroom action research by applying direct instructional model. The learning result obtained from UH before action with value - average rose 65.45 at UH I cycle I with value - average into 76.62 (17.06% increase). At UH II increases the value - average 81.08 (23.88% increase). Individually completeness of the original base score 21 increases in the first cycle were 28 people and the second cycle increased to 32 people. Classical completeness on the basis of the percentage score of 56.75% with a category is not finished, the second cycle of 75.67% with a category is not exhaustive, and the second cycle increased to 86.49% with the category completely. Abstract

Abstract: The research has been done to find out the Local Wisdom of Rantau Kopar Community in Rangau River Management from January to April 2017. The research was used to design the module unit in Biology Learning of Environmental Conservation in SMA, in two stages namely Research and Module Design Unit Module. Data collection with in-depth interview method with snowball sampling technique to key informant that is Adat Leader, Community Leader. In addition, field observation and documentation techniques are used. The results showed that Rantau Kopar community has various local wisdom in implementing Rangau river management, among others, (a) planning includes local knowledge, spatial planning, settlement, irrigation and plantation, (b) The community uses it to maintain the sustainability of resources by utilizing the potential of availability Contained in the Rangau River, (c) controls include the use of environmentally friendly fishing gear and prevention efforts with no prohibition, (d) maintenance of the environment by mutual assistance and the ban on disposing garbage to the river. The results of this study can be used as a unit of learning module Biology on the concept of Environmental Conservation.Keywords: Local Wisdom, Snowball Sampling, Rangau River Management, Module Design.

Abstract

Abstract: This pre-experimental research was aimed at to find out whether there is a significant effect of Jigsaw Technique on reading comprehension of narrative text of the second year students of MTs.PP.Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan. Thus, the problem to be discussed was: Is there any significant effect of Jigsaw Technique on reading comprehension of narrative text of the second year students of MTs.PP.Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan. The design of the research was one group pretest-posttest design. Cluster sampling technique was used to select one class to become the sample. 30 students of class VIII-C at the second semester of academic year 2016/2017 were chosen as the sample. The results of the data analysis showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test. The result also showed that the value of t-test was higher than t-table at the significance level 5%. It could be concluded that there was a significant effect of jigsaw technique on reading comprehension of narrative text of the second year students of MTs.PP.Syafa’aturrasul Teluk Kuantan.Keywords: Jigsaw Technique, Reading Comprehension, Narrative Texts.
