Abstract

Abstract: The background in this research is the low science achievement of third grade students SDN 42 Pekanbaru. Average score of the students before the action has not reached the established KKM, the average score of students is 61,67 with KKM 70. Among 36 students, only 15 students who reached KKM with 70% classical completeness. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that conducted to improve science achievement of third grade students SDN 42 Pekanbaru by applying cooperative learning model type make a match. The data collected in this research are teacher activities, student activites, and learning result’s observation sheet. The average of students achievement before action was 61,67 increase to 74,86 in cycle I with increasing percentage 21,38%. In the cycle II increase to 85,97 with increasing percentage 39,40%. Teacher activity in cycle I of first meeting obtained percentage 75%, good category and at second meeting obtained percentage 83,33%, good category. While on cycle II of the first meeting obtained percentage 91,67%, very good category and second meeting obtained percentage 95,83%, very good category. Student activity in cycle I of first meeting obtained percentage 70,83%, good category and at second meeting obtained percentage 79,16%, good category. While on cycle II of the first meeting obtained percentage 87,50%, very good category and second meeting obtained percentage 95,83%, very good category. The result of the research in the third grade SDN 42 Pekanbaru proved that applying cooperative learning model type make a match improving students’ science achievement.Key Words : Cooperative learning model type make a match, learning outcomes science

Abstract

Abstract : This research is based on the low learning outcomes of science subject "ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPS)” of students grade 4th of SDN 034 Taraibangun, with grade average 65,825, while the minimum exhaustiveness criteria "kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM)” for IPS is 70. Among 40 students, only 14 students who reached KKM with 35% classical completeness. This research used classroom action research "classroom action research" (PTK) on two cycles which aimed to improve IPS learning outcomes of students grade 4th of SDN 034 Taraibangun,by implementing Inside-Outside-Circle (IOC). The research subjects is students grade 4th SDN 034 Taraibangun. The research data were taken from observation and test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical technique. The result of this research showed that the achievement of teacher activity in the first cycle 79,16%, and the second cycle is 95,83%. Students activities increased too. Students activities in first cycle is 62,5%, and the second cycle is 66,66%. Meanwhile, the average of IPS learning in the first cycle is 75,83 and in the second cycle is 82,41. Classical completeness in the first cycle is 90% increase to 92,5% in the second cycle. From this result it can be concluded that by apply IOC learning model in science studies can increase learning result of students in 4th grader class of SD N 034 Taraibangun.Keywords : Inside-Outside-Circle (IOC) type cooperative model

Abstract

Abstract: It has been applied the arisan card active learning strategy to improve students learning achievement on the subject of Hydrocarbons in class X of Senior High School Number 3 Pekanbaru. The research is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of class X5 as the experimental class and the students of class X6 as the control class. They were randomly determined after given the tests of normality and homogeneity. Experimental class is a class which was given a treatment by applying active learning strategy of arisan card in learning process. The data were analyzed by using t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it obtained tcount> ttable, which is 2,85 >1.67. It means that the application of active learning strategy of arisan card can improve student learning achievement on the subject of Hydrocarbons in class X of Senior High School Number 3 Pekanbaru. The improvement category of student achievement at experiment class was high category with normalized N-gain which is 0,81.Key Words: Active Learning Strategy, Arisan Card, Learning Achievement, Hydrocarbons

Abstract

Abstract: This study was aimed at investigating the effect of Two Stay-Two Stay strategy on reading comprehension of the second year students of SMPN 34 Pekanbar. This study was an experimental quantitative research. The population of this research was all the second year students of SMPN 34 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted by applying Two Stay-Two Stay (TS-TS) strategy to the experimental group selected by employing cluster random sampling method. There were 40 students in experimental group who had a pre-test and there were 40 students in control group who had a pre-test. Then they were taught by using TS-TS for experimental group, and without TS-TS for control group. They finally had a post-test to see the increase of their scores. After all data were collected, the researcher calculated them by using t-Test method in Ms. Excel 2010. The result of data analysis showed that the mean score of pre-test for control class was 58,12 and the post –test was 62,25. While the result of pre-test for experimental group was 62,62 and the post test was 71,38. With the t-Test score was 8,76, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of using Two Stay-Two Stray strategy on reading comprehension of the second year students of SMPN 34 Pekanbaru that it could be seen from the improvement of students’ scores in post-test. Therefore, the use of TSTS in teaching reading comprehension is an effective way to improve the students‟ ability. It further increased their self-confidence, social interaction, individual accountability and group skills as well as getting better reading comprehension because they could understand the materials better by learning together as a team.Key Words: Cooperative Learning, Two Stay Two Stray, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the lack of reading comprehension skills of students, with an average grade 62.86. Among students who numbered 21 people only 8 students who are skilled with classical completeness 38.10%. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills of class V Mis. Al-Muhsinin Rimba Melintang by implementing cooperative learning model CIRC. Data collection instrument in this paper is a sheet activities of teachers and students and learning outcomes. This thesis presents the preliminary data the students were capable of reading comprehension only 8 students (38.10%) with an average value of 62.86 (Low). Deuteronomy daily on the first cycle, students are able to read a paragraph element comprehension increased by 18 students (85.71%)%) with an average value of 73.81 (Medium). Furthermore, the daily test cycles II, increased again by the number of students able to as many as 19 students (90.48%) with an average value of 83.33 (Height). The percentage of teachers in implementing the learning activities in the first cycle of the first meeting 58.30% (Enough) and the second meeting is 62.50% (Good). In the second cycle of the first meeting 79.20% (Good) and the second meeting is 91.70% (Very Good). Then, the percentage of student activity in the first cycle of the first meeting 55.00% (Enough) and the second meeting is 60.00% (Enough). In the second cycle of the first meeting of 75.00% (Good) and the second meeting is 90.00% (Very Good). The results of the study in class V Mis. Al-Muhsinin Rimba Melintang prove that the implementation of cooperative learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) can improve students' reading comprehension skills of class V Mis. Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research carried out base of lower result of Indonesian language subject in grade 5th SDS YKPP Sungai Pakning Bengkalis Regency, which is about 69,84 within minimal completeness criterion stated is 75. Among 31 students, there were only 9 students that able to achieve the score of minimal completeness criterion stated. The purpose of this research is to increased student’s writing poem skill of the five grade at SDS YKPP Sungai Pakning Bengkalis Regency with the using of picture media. This research was classroom action research consisting 2 cycles within 4 procedures : planning, doing, observing, and reflecting and each cycle consist of three meeting. Instruments on this research are syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheet. Instrument for collecting data are observation sheet and test. Data which was collected were learning outcomes and teacher’s activities during lessons. After implementation of using of picture media and learning model it was obtained student’s outcomes in UH I within average 74.03(improved from basic score 5.9%). The average score form UH II was 84.36 (improved 20.7%). Teachers activities results in the first meeting of the first cycle was 50% (fair category), and then 62.5% (good category) for the second meeting in cycle I. Meanwhile in the first meeting of the second cycle was 77.5% ( good category) and then 97.5% (very good category) for second meeting in cycle II. Students activity in the first meeting of the cycle I was 52.5% (enough category), 62.5% (good category) for the second meeting in the cycle I. And then in the first meeting of the second cycle was 75% (good category), 95% (very good category) for the second meeting in cycle II. Based on the result it can be concluded that implementation of using picture media in five graders at SDS YKPP Sungai Pakning Bengkalis Regency.Keywords :Using Picture Media , Increasing Writing Poem Skill.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by a problem that arises from observations made by researchers, namely the Regulation of the Regent of Indragiri Hilir Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Maghrib Community Reciting Movement in Tembilahan Sub-District, Tembilahan Sub-District City. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the Community Perception of Indragiri Hilir Regent Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Maghrib Community Reciting Movement in the Tembilahan Subdistrict, Tembilahan Subdistrict City. The purpose of this study was to find out how Community Perceptions of Regents of Indragiri Hilir Regent Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Maghrib Community Reciting Movement in Tembilahan Subdistrict, Tembilahan Subdistrict City. This research method is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study was the entire community of Tembilahan Subdistrict, Tembilahan Subdistrict, 23,968 people to determine the size of the sample, the authors used cluster sampling. Cluster sampling is a regional sampling technique used to determine the sample if there is an object to be studied or a very broad data source, coupled with a porpusive sampling technique so that the sampling is really appropriate, porpusive sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations with a total sample of 40 people . Data collected through observation, questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Community Perception of Tembilahan Urban District Tembilahan District Against the Regulation of the Regent of Indragiri Hilir Number 1 of 2014 Regarding the Maghrib Kaji Community Movement or better known as GEMMAR MengJI is good or positive.Key Words: Perception, Indragiri Hilir Number 1 Year 2014

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to determine student learning outcomes before and after using KWL method and to find out the influence of KWL method on students’s ability in reading comprehension Japanese text (Dokkai) by the third level students of Japanese Education Department Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education Riau University. This research used quasi experimental research with one group pretest - posttest design. The object of this research are 16 third level students of Japanese Education Department Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education Riau University Academic Year 2016/2017. Data collection was performed by giving test (pretest and post test). The given test was 3 essay and 6 questions shaped is matching vocabulary, essay to find out the students’s ability in reading comprehension (pretest and post test). On average pretest results obtained by the students was 50,31 and at posttest increased by 5,61 into 55,92. Then the pretest and posttest results processed using statistical test by paired sampling t-test  using software of SPSS Version 19 to get the value of the significant of the application KWL method.      Based on statistical calculations for the t-test using SPSS for Windows software version 19 with paired sample test found significant numbers 0,039 lower than 0.05 ( 0.039 < 0.05 ). It means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so there is a significant impact with the application of KWL method on the learning of Japanese reading comprehension (dokkai) by the third level students of Japanese Education Department Faculty of Teacher’s Training and Education Riau University.  Thus, it can be concluded that KWL method was effective in reading comprehension japanese text (dokkai). Key words: dokkai, method, KWL

Abstract

Abstract: This study titled "Language Style" in Pastor's Homily at HKBP Church Rajawali Pekanbaru. The problem in this research is what the type of language are pastors in the church HKBP Rajawali pekanbaru in the sermon. This study aims to describe the style of the pastor in the sermon in the HKBP Rajawali Pekanbaru Church. This research is theoretically and practically useful to the readers. The theory used in this study is the theory of Tarigan (2013: 7) and Keraf (2010: 115). The time of this study started in December 2017 until June 2018. This type of research is qualitative research. The research method is qualitatively descriptive. The data source of this research is preacher preaching at HKBP Rajawali Pekanbaru Church. The study was conducted for two months, and in two months, eight weeks of weekly data retrieval took place by recording a pastor's sermon. Pastors in Pekanbaru include Rajawali HKBP's Pastor Toho Sinaga, sth and Pastor Riris br Sitorus. The data is collected by recording technology. Techniques of Data Analysis Research is descriptive analysis, data presentation and withdrawal of the final conclusion. Based on the results of the study the language style asidenton found, style polisidenton, style tautology, style metaphorical language, the language style climax, stylistic disillusionment, style koreksio, language artaussage of rhetorical speech style redundancy, stylistic parallelism, style simile, style kiasmic language and elliptical form.Key Words: Linguistic style, reverend sermon, HKBP Rajawali Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract: The problems of the research is the lack of explosive power of leg muscles in performing maximum jump. To get a powerful push and high speed, an athlete should have huge explosive power. So, the explosive power of leg muscles should as a pushing power of a jump while doing a push on the ruler after doing the initial act to get maximum jump. Therefore, explosive power of leg muscles has a meaningful contribution while an athlete will perform jumping move in High Jump sport. Based on the observation by the researchers in the field, the result of the jump of the students, especially class ten of SMAN 1 Siak Kecil with 25 students as population and all of 25 students as sample. suharsimi-arikunto(2006:13) says if the subject is less than 100 people, then the whole subject of more then 100 people then  take or use 20-25% of the whole sampel. The technique of sample collection is all of the population (Total sampling). The instrument used in this research is Vertical Jump which is aimed at discovering the jump result, and High Jump test that is aimed at maximizing the jump. Afterward, the data is analyzed statistically to examine the normality by lilifors test by the significant rate of 0.05 α. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a significant correlation  between the power of leg muscles and High Jump. Based on the analysis of lilifors tegst Lcount (x) is 0.164 and Ltable is0.173, Lcount (y) is 0.164 dan Ltable is 0.173 which mean that Lcount < Ltable, so the samples form the population that has a normal distribution. Then the result of Product Moment correlation between leg muscle power and shoulder and the result of smash accuracy where rcount(0.752) > rtable (0.404) which resulted that Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected. Therefore, there is a significant influence between leg muscle explosive power and High Jump of Ten grade students at SMAN 1 Siak Kecil.  Keywords: Leg Muscle Explosive Power, High Jump
