Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated to explain to the public about the tradition of kompang in the custom of marriage in the modernization era in Kampung Teluk Mesjid. The formulation of the problem of this research is “How is the kompang malay tradition in marriage tradition in the era of modernization in Kampung Teluk Mesjid Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency”. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the kompang malay tradition in the modernization era in Kampung Teluk Mesjid Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. There were 6 informants in study, namely Community Leader (1 person), Culturalists (1 person), LAM Chair (1 person), Kompang group leader (1 person), and kompang players (2 people). Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative methods. The results in this study prove that in the tradition of kompang as a whole still uses or applies kompang culture, it’s just that the kompang tradition has changed with the modernization and advancement of the mindset of the people. The Malay community in Kampung Teluk Mesjid still preserves culture and in playing the kompang performance they still follow the methods of their predecessors, especially in malay traditional ceremonies.Key Words: The Tradition Kompang, Marriage Custom the Modernization Era

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed at finding out the correlation between listening and speaking ability of the third-semester students of English Department Universitas Riau. The researcher implemented a quantitative correlational research design. The number of the samples is 37 selected by using cluster random sampling (CRS). There were two data obtained in this research; students' listening ability and students' speaking ability. The listening TOEFL test was used to collect data of students' listening ability; while students' speaking ability was measured using IELTS speaking test part II. This study found that r-obtained is 0.526 with a significant level 0.001 which means that there is a significant correlation between listening ability and speaking ability. The value of R square shows that the relationship between listening and speaking ability of the students is 27.6%. In other words, it implies that the higher students' listening ability, the higher speaking ability score of the students might get.Keywords: Correlation, Listening ability, Speaking ability.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop a street children's family educationmodule in terms of the aspects of material clarity, material systematic, image support,compatibility of material delivery time and material completeness. This type of researchis development research to produce a design but is not followed by testing the product.The educational module material was validated by 2 BK FKIP UR lecturers, and 2Counseling Guidance Teachers. Educational material consists of 4 modules namely,module 1: understanding parenting and family functions, module 2: being a responsibleparent, module 3: the role of parents educating children and module 4: the role ofparents in preventing children from going down to the street. From the value given byexperts for the material clarity aspect, a score of 4.5 was obtained with a very clearcategory, for systematic aspects of the material a score of 5 was obtained with a verysystematic category, for the aspect of image support a score of 4.75 was obtained with avery supportive category, for the aspect of compatibility the delivery time of thematerial was obtained a score of 4.25 with a very suitable category and for the aspectsof completeness of the material obtained a score of 4.25 with a very complete category.Whereas for all aspects of the material assessment, it shows that the material developedhas fulfilled the expected criteria with the acquisition of a score of 4.5, which iscategorized as very good. As for the suggestions given by the validator are: each quoteis included with the source, clarify each material again, pay attention again to thewriting of the material, and add conclusions.Keywords: Module, Education, Street Children

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the discipline of student learning by applying thecooperative learning model of the trio unit type duel team games tournament(TUDTGT) to earth subject. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjectsin this study were students of class X.MO 2, totals are 33 students. Data collectingtechniques in this study such as observations with data collection research instrumentsare the form of observation rubrics and observation tables. Data analysis of the resultsof the study was descriptive data analysis and data analysis of student learningdiscipline. The results showed students’ learn discipline of class X.MO 2 SMK TarunaSatria Pekanbaru by applying Cooperative Learning Model Trio Unit Duel TeamGames Tournament Type (TUDTGT) on earth subject reaches 81% of the averagepercentage of ideal criteria. Abstract

Abstrak: This research is motivated by the evaluation of the implementation of the governor's activities so that the problem formulation in this study is whether the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Activities of the Governor Executive Body of the 2019-2020 Student Period at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau has been well implemented "? The benefits of this research as input material to add knowledge about the organization to students and its application in establishing cooperation among other BEM members. This research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study was 87 people. Sampling in this study used simple random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire containing 47 items of statements that were valid to be used as research instruments. Data analysis through quantitative descriptive analysis. Weight each answer for Very Good (SB) with a score of 5, Good (B) with a score of 4, Fairly Good (CB) with a score of 3, Poorly (KB) with a score of 2, Not Good (TB) with a score of 1. From the findings of the study of the three indicators it can be concluded that the indicators are classified as good. This is evidenced from the presentation of the recapitulation of the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Activities of the Governor of the Student Executive Body 2019/2020 Period of the Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University as a whole indicator: (1) comparing with the percentage of 79% then the percentage (2) contained in the indicator differentiating with a percentage of 78% and the third (3) is the indicator rate with a percentage of 76%. The meaning is the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Activities of the Governor of the Student Executive Board for the 2019/2020 Period of the Faculty of Teaching and Education at the University of Riau, which is quite good Key Words: Evaluation, Implementation, Activities

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to meet and clearly describe the picture of the characteristics and social interactions among the street kids around traffics light in front of governor’s office of Pekanbaru city. The subjects of this study were seven street children. This research method uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Characteristics of street children at a red light in front of the city Gubernur office in Pekanbaru aged 8 to 14 years, the activities carried out on the streets mostly peddle newspapers and hawkers. Street children are still intensive meeting with family even though it doesn’t take long to get together and still have a fairly complete family. Patterns of social interaction among the street children with families which include cooperation, accommodation, assimilation and acculturation, competition, dan conflict has gone well in all aspects. Street children interact well with their families, there is no meaningful conflict or disagreement, the dominant aspect of social interaction with street children is the collaboration of street children in the family, assimilation and acculturation, competition, and opposition.Key Words: Characteristics, Social Interaction, Street Children
