Abstract

Abstract: The objective of the present study was to find out the morphological awareness of the second-year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau. It was descriptive research that involved 35 second-year students as the sample by using cluster random sampling. The data were collected by giving a Morphological Awareness Test (MAT) adapted from Apel and Lawrence (2011) to see their morphological awareness in terms of the syntactic aspect: Derivations and Inflections. For analyzing the data, the descriptive statistics (mean score and standard deviation) were calculated and the students’ individual scores were grouped into some levels of morphological awareness. It was revealed that the second-year students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau who participated in the present study had low level of morphological awareness (M=49.71). They slightly performed better in Inflections part than in Derivations part. Thus, it is recommended to conduct a further research to investigate the motives behind the students’ low performance on morphological awareness.Key Words: Morphology, Morphological Awareness

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine and analyze the level of Community Reading Park Service Effectiveness (TBM), this research was conducted at the Non-Formal Education Unit (SPNF) of the Pekanbaru City Learning Center (SKB), the variables used were service effectiveness measurement indicators in service effectiveness. yautu prasatana facilities and human resources This study used descriptive statistical analysis with a quantitative approach to one variable The population in this study amounted to 40 citizens learning the equivalence of packages A, B and C. Regardless of the characteristics in the population, Lustramen in this study is a questionnaire or a questionnaire which contains 45 statements about the effectiveness of response which are identified from two indicators. Obtained the mean of the infrastructure and facilities indicator is 2, then the human resource indicator is 4.22 which is classified as high. 77.55 and the remaining 22.75 are influenced by other indicators besides the indicators in this study.Key Words: Perception, Service effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract: The research was aimed to determine the effect of using 'RIDER' strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMPN 42 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. This pre-experimental research was conducted by using One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Class VIII.2 was selected as the sample for this research by using cluster random sampling technique. A multiple choice test consisting of 40 items was the instrument of the research. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test. The results showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than pre-test (74.24>61.84). Then, it also showed that t-test was higher than t-table (4.086>2.062) at a significance level of 5%. Therefore, Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of ‘RIDER’ Strategy on the ability of the second year students of SMPN 42 Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts.Keywords: Reading, Reading Comprehension, Descriptive Text, ‘RIDER’ Strategy

Abstract

Abstract: Based on observations made by researchers on the men's volleyball team for male students of SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan, there are still many players who fail when they do a volleyball smash. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between arm and shoulder muscle strength and hand eye coordination with smash accuracy on the men's volleyball team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan. The population that will be used is the men's volleyball team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan consisting of 12 people. The sample in this study was the men's volleyball volleyball team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan as many as 12 people using total sampling technique. The instruments in this study were expandng dynaometer, throw and catch the ball, and the results of the smash. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple correlation. Based on the results of research that the writer has shown that the results obtained by the strength of the arm and shoulder muscles have no relationship with the results of the smash on the Men's Volleyball Team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan. From the results obtained, eye and hand coordination has no relationship with the results of the smash on the Men's Volleyball Team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan. There is no joint relationship between arm and shoulder muscle strength and eye and hand coordination on the results of the smash on the Men's Volleyball Team at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci Kanan.Key Words: Arm and Shoulder Muscle Strength, Eye and Hand Coordination, Smash Results

Abstract

Abstract: The shoot of shoots tenun house is a house located on the commercial street of Senapelan bandar village, Pekanbaru city. This house is a house inhabited by the women of the KSM (Self-Help Group) of the Bandar village who have been keeping traditional woven fabrics in their safekeeping since 2012. This program received help from PNPM (Community Empowerment National Program) in the form of weaving instructors and tools and materials. This weaving mill is chaired by Mrs. Wawa Edini as the janitor of the weaving mill, who is assisted by other members of the weaving mill and currently this weaving mill is managed by BI (Bank Indonesia). to learn more about the development of Pucuk Rebung Weaving House handicraft business in Bandar Senapelan Village, Pekanbaru City in 2012-2019. The data analysis used qualitative research methods consisting of several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. As a result of this research, this weaving mill is a house that preserves traditional Malaysian weaves since 2012, in its development, this house has gone through quite rapid development from tools for weaving to kinds of woven handicraft production. This weaving house is known to the wider community in the conservation of traditional woven fabrics to various other Asian countries such as France, Singapore, Malaysia.Key Words: History, Development, Weaving House, Village Bandar, Senapelan

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed to find out the writing process which makes the fourth semester students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau feel anxious in writing essays. This is a descriptive quantitative research conducted by survey design. The population of this research was 107 of the fourth semester students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau and all of it was appointed as the sample. The data were collected through a questionnaire containing 24 close-ended statements. The questionnaire was adaptred from Second Language Writing Anxiety Inventory (SLWAI) designed by Cheng (2004) and Causes of Writing Anxiety Inventory (CWAI) designed by Rezaei and Jafari (2014). The result of data analysis showed that the fourth semester students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau felt anxious in drafting process of essay writing. The factors that contributed to that were: linguistic problems (18.02%), time pressure (17.75%), lack of topical knowledge (16.80%), and lack of vocabulary mastery (16.66%). Furthermore, it is recommended that students need to find out the factors that contribute to their writing anxiety and try to find the best way to cope with their anxiety. Students also need to do more practice in English essays writing and discuss their problems in writing with the lecturer. In line with that, the lecturer should create a comfortable situations in Writing class to make the students more relaxed in expressing ideas through writing and the lecturer also need to pay more attention in students’ problems of writing essays that can lead them to anxiety.Key Words: Writing, Anxiety, Writing Anxiety, Writing Essays

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to know the characteristics of street children, the perception of street children to their work, the current and future hope of street children in the street of Harapan Raya, Pekanbaru city. The study used a qualitative and descriptive approach. The data source in this study was a street child of 6 people who took the Purposive Sampling technique. Data collected using instruments include observation and structured interviews. Results obtained psychological characteristics of street children is difficult to meet face to face and communicate directly, tend to be reckless, lability and want compassion. Physical characteristics of street children, among others, have a thin body, reddish black hair, brown skin mature and dull, and often use clothes that look dull. The street child sees his current work as an attempt to help the family economy. Their perception of work is derived from the closest people, namely, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends. During work on the streets the children get a pleasant and depressing experience. They have a hope of being able to quickly finish their work and quit their job as street children, and they have the ideals they want to achieve. Their parents know and support to realize their children's ideals. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the tunjuk ajar melayu teaching point values to improve student social relations at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The measuring instrument used in this study is a scale that measures students' social relations consisting of 40 items before validation, and after validation 30 items are obtained valid items with validity between 0.358-0.793 and reliability 0.926. The subjects of this study were 9 students who were identified as having low social relations. The data analysis technique used is non-parametric statistical techniques using the Rank Spearman test. The results of the study prove the accepted research hypothesis. For that from the Spearman Rank test results obtained r = 0.778 while the correlation coefficient r2 is 0.61. Thus there is a tunjuk ajar melayu teaching point values on social relations of students by 61% in SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. From the Wilcoxon test results obtained (Asymp.Sig) 0.018 <0.05, it can be concluded that there are differences in social relations of students before and after the treatment of tunjuk ajar melayu teaching point values, as evidenced by an increase in each indicator of students' social relations.Key Words: Social Relation, Tunjuk Ajar Melayu, Group Guidance

Abstract

Abstract: This research is an evaluation research with a formative evaluation type that uses a naturalistic qualitative approach that aims to provide a systematic description of the evaluation of tutor assignments in the learning process of package B in PKBM Harapan Bangsa. This research was conducted at PKBM Harapan Bangsa, Kecamatan Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar and involved 3 informants who were used as resource persons, including tutors as core informants I and core informants II, and managers of PKBM as control informants. The results of this study indicate that the tutor performs his duties in the learning process of package B in PKBM Harapan Bangsa in accordance with the Guidelines for the Implementation of Equality Education Package B (2012: 7) This can be seen from the implementation of tutor assignments starting from planning such as preparing lesson plans, conducting activities learning administration. Implementation of learning such as managing the learning process, choosing methods and implementing learning in accordance with the realm to be achieved, motivating students, choosing to develop or develop media / teaching materials and Conduct an assessment in the learning process. The results of the evaluation of tutor assignments in the learning process of package B in PKBM Harapan Bangsa are that the tutors are considered good in doing their work in the learning process.Key Words: Evaluation, Tutor Task, Learning Process, Package B

Abstract

Abstract: based on the researcher observations in field during the training activities carried out by students who took exstracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya defeat is caused by a lack o the ability to smash, especially one in front of the net, either in any rehearsal or incompetition like the ball gets in the net, the ball gets out o the field, the ball gets knocked out on the target. The purpose o the study is to know significant relationship between the limb muscles exprosive and aye-hand coordination together against to the ability to smash. The population in this study are all students who follow volley ball extracuricullar at SMAN 1 Sentajo Raya. There were 20 male students, the sampling technique in this research or total sampling technique with his research sample. there are 20 athletes, the instrument in this research are throw and cactch the ball, vertical jump, and the precision o the smash. Results obtained in analysis using a simple and double correlation based on the results o the research can beadvanded as follows: statistical analysis war obtained r count = 0,537, and r table to a dagree a = 0,05 next 0,444 thus r count > r table. It means there is significant connection between the coordination at the Eye-Hand and the precision of a smash. Statistical analysis was obtained r count = 0,831 and r table to a degree a = 0,05 next =0.444 thus r count > r table. It means there is significant connection between the muscle charges, the legs with aprecision smash. Statistical analysis obtained r count = 0,875 and r table to a degree a 0,05 next 0,444 thus, r count > r = table, it meansthere is significant connection between, the muscular explosive lines, limbs and coordination to the abillity of the smash.Key Words: Muscle Explosive Power Eye-Hand Coordination, Smash Accuracy
