Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the factors that encourage housewives to work in Pulau Bodi Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency, so that the aim is to determine the most dominant factor in encouraging housewives to work in Pulau Bodi Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. The population in this study were 67 housewives who worked as farmers. The sample of this study were 40 people and 20 working housewives. The sample used was simple random sampling. The data processing technique in this research is to verify data, group items based on indicators, make a preparation table for raw scores, tabulate by making a list of frequency distribution based on indicators and using percentages. Data analysis through quantitative descriptive analysis. The weight of each answer is Very True (SB) with a score of 5, True (B) with a score of 4, Not True (KB) with a score of 3, Not True (TB) with a score of 2, Very False (STB) with a score of 1 The validity test was carried out on 20 housewives who work in the Bodi Island Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. With a critical r value of 0.444. Of the 42 statement items tested, 6 statements were invalid. Researchers discard all invalid statements, because 6 invalid statements are discarded and do not result in other items. Based on these results, the factors that encourage housewives to work in the Pulau Bodi Village, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency are classified as high, with the highest indicator being socio-cultural factors, compared to economic factors.Key Words: Perception, Perception of Citizens Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This decriptive research is aim to find out the ability of the third semester students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau in pronouncing pure vowel sounds. The sample of this research is one of the three class of the third semester studentsof English Study Program which are chosoe by using cluster sampling technique. The number of sample is 36 students. The data were collected by giving a pronunciation test to the student individually. The test asked the students to read a text and the researcher record it. The students’ score were analyzed by using Harris’ scoring system which concerned with eleven sounds of English pure vowel, they are vowel /iː/, vowel /ɪ/, vowel /ʊ/, vowel /uː/, vowel /e/, vowel /ə/, vowel /ɜː/, vowel /ɔː/, vowel /æ/, vowel /ʌ/, and vowel /ɑː/ The findings show that the students’ mean score for each sounds of English pure vowel was in “good” level where the students’ ability in terms pronouncing vowel /ɪ/ was the highest among the other aspects with the mean score 91, while pronouncing vowel /ə/ was the lowest one, with the mean score 67. Based on the results obtained, it can be inferred that the students are able to pronounce pure vowel sounds and their level of ability is in “good” level with the mean score 77. By lookng to the aspect the students mostly weak, that is pronouncing vowel /ə/, this study recommended the students to more practice in pronouncing vowel /ə/ to improve their ability in pronunciation.Key Words: Study, Ability, Pronunciation, Pure Vowel

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship betweenshoulder muscle power, wrist flexibility and to determine the relationship betweenshoulder muscle power and wrist flexibility to the accuracy results of PB Badmintonsmash. Rajawali, Kandis district. with PB badminton accuracy smash results. RajawaliKandis District. Place of research in the PB field. Rajawali, Kandis district. When thisresearch will be carried out in June 2020. This research is used by using a researchdesign for correlation. Given the total population of less than 100 people, the entirepopulation was sampled (total sampling), namely as many as 20 people. Based on theresults of the study, the analysis results obtained from the Shoulder Arm Muscle Powerdata (X1) to Accuracy Smash (Y) are shown rcount 0.473> r table 0.444. which meansthat there is a significant relationship. From the data on wrist flexibility (X20) to theAccuracy smash (Y), r count 0.749> r table 0.444 means that there is a significantrelationship. From the data on the relationship between shoulder muscle power (X1)and wrist determination (X2) together with the Accuracy smash (Y), it is shown thatrcount is 0.810> r table 0.444. which means that there is a significant relationship.Thus, this research can conclude that there is a significant relationship between thePower of the Shoulder Arm Muscles and Wrist Flexibility on the Accuracy of BadmintonSmash PB.Rajawali, Kandis District.Key Words: Relationship, Power of Shoulder Arm Muscles and Wrist Flexibility, BadmintonSmash Accuracy

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out the significant effect of using the power of two Strategy on the ability of the seventh grade students of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. The selected sample was VII.4 class. The sample was selected by using random sampling technique. This research used pre-experimental research design for one group pre-test post-test and the data were collected by using on written test on descriptive texts. The instrument used in this research was multiple choice test consisted of four options “(A/B/C/D)”. The result of the study showed that the mean score of the pre -test was 63.04 while the result of the post-test was 79.16. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the power two strategy on the ability of the seventh grade students of SMP Babussalam Pekanbaru in comprehending descriptive texts. It can be stated that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In conclusion, teachers are suggested to use the Power of Two as one of the alternative strategies in improving students’ comprehension of descriptive texts.Key Words: Effect, The Power of Two strategy, Comprehending, Descriptive Text

Abstract

Abstract: The research was aimed to develop and to find out the validity level of English instructional tools (lesson plan and students’ worksheet) by using Picture series as one of learning media which is done through some steps: BKOF (Building Knowledge of Field), MOT (Modeling of the Text), JCOT (Joint Construction of Text), ICOT (Independent Construction of Text) suggested in the 2013 Curriculum. The research design is developmental research design applied which 4D model by Thiagarajan (1974). To develop English instructional tool, there were three stages involved in this research, (a) defining stage which is done to set and define the product development requirements, (b) designing stage which is done to plan the draft of instructional tool and arranged it into the right format and (c) developing stage which is done to modify and validate the instructional tool. In order to find out the validity level of developing English instructional tools, the data were collected by using validation sheet of lesson plan and students’ worksheet that validated by experts. Based on data analysis, the validation score of lesson plan is 91,61% and the validation score of students’ worksheet is 92,01%. Those results showed that the instructional tools as a media in the form of lesson plan and students’ worksheet were very valid. They can be fully implemented in writing classroom.Key Words: Developing, Lesson plan, Students’ Worksheet, Picture-series, Writing, Narrative Texts.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is that athletes are less than optimal at jumping blocks and strokes (spikes), even though the football pulling game really needs leg muscle strength to jump, when blocks and hitting the ball are rarely unstoppable and does not hit the legs, so the opponent can easily hit looking for points. This type of research is a kind of experimental study to see the effect of the form of exercise, the aim of this research is to look at the effect of barrier hop training on leg muscle strength in the Takraw Gemilang Jaya Pekanbaru Team. The population in this research was the Takraw Gemilang Jaya team, good for 8 people. The sampling technique is the use of total sampling, where the total population is sampled. Data collection techniques were obtained from the pre-test and the post-test. The instrument in this study used vertical jump as an aid to measure leg muscle strength. The data is then statistically processed to test normality using the lilifours test at a significance level of 0.05α. Based on the analysis of the normality of the data X, it gives a LoMax of 0.183 and an Ltable of 0.285, which means LoMax <Ltable. while the variable Y produces LoMax of 0.152 and Ltable of 0.285. This means LoMax <L table. The analysis was performed with a t-test. Based on data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is an effect of hop bary exercise against limb muscle strength in the Takraw Gemilang Jaya Pekanbaru football team, as shown by a Tcount of 6,790 and a table of 1,895. Means Thitung> Ttable At the level ɑ = 0.05.Key Words: Barier Hop exercise, Leg muscle strength

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is how competence is the pedagogical tutor in equality education at PKBM kak seto-kelurahan sukamaju sail city of pekanbaru province riau? The value of this research is theoretically: (1) improving the concept of learning in equality education. (2) improve the pedagogical competence of teachers in equality education. (3) enhancing students’ abilities in equality education. And are practically: (1) PKBM managers, for information in terms of developing and developing educators through learning in equality eaducation. (2) tutors, for input materials to know a good and effective way to manage samentary education learning. (3) studenst, as an input ingredient to can plant knowledge about e learning education equality. (4) researchers, for input materials to expand the understanding and application of advanced teoni on the college bench on equality education. The study is descriptive with the subject’s qualitative approach to this study is 5 people, the removal of the research subject in the research using the intrinsishe sampling instrument that was used as a guideline for the 94 interviews. The pedagogic competence tutor in the equality education at PKBM kak seto-kelurahan sukamaju sail city of pekanbaru province riau can be explained by indicators (1) developing the curiculum and designing learning, (2) ruling theories and principles of learning, (3) organizing the curriculum and designing learning, (4) organizing special intructional purposes (TIK) for the benefit of learning, (5) communicating effectively, emphatically, and a unit with leaners, (6) administer evaluations and assessments for the sake of learning. The result of the study are known that the pedagogical tutor at PKBM kak seto-san has fended there in the main event of organizing the study and conducting the evaluation. The meaning is the pedagogic competence of tutors abilities of tutors in performing learning.Key Words: Competence, Pedagogical

Abstract

Abstract: Sukarmis is one of the public sector figures in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2006-2016. Sukarmis was born in Sentajo Raya, June 16, 1956 by parents named Syafiu and Mani Uang. Sukarmis is the fifth of five children. This study aims to (1) determine the background of Sukarmis' life, (2) determine the infrastructure development built by the government of Sukarmis in the field of health, education and transportation infrastructure development and (3) determine Sukarmis's strategy for infrastructure development in Kuantan Singingi. This study uses a mixed research approach between quantitative and qualitative. A quantitative approach was taken to quantitatively determine the volume of infrastructure built during Sukarmis' leadership in Kuantan Singingi Regency. A qualitative approach was taken to determine the background to Sukarmis 'life and then Sukarmis' strategy in building infrastructure in Kuantan Singingi Regency. As a result of this research, Sukarmis served as the first definitive regent in Kuantan Singingi Regency in 2006-2016 and played many roles in the infrastructure development efforts in Kuantan Singingi Regency. The infrastructure development he built has brought many changes and benefits to the people of Kuantan Singingi Regency that are being felt today. He has also made the Kuantan Singingi Regency an example of successful regional autonomy. Sukarmis has built infrastructure in Kuantan Singingi that includes health infrastructure, education infrastructure and transportation that can be felt by the community to remote areas.Key Words: Sukarmis, Infrastructure Development, Strategy, Role

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the lack of understanding experienced by students when given a math problem during studying process and can be known by the errors they do. This error arises because the students face difficulties in solving mathematical problems, particularly those related to the perimeters and areas of geometry planes. By knowing the mistakes made by students, it is hoped that the teachers can pay attention to the stages or steps of completion in solving math problems in plane geometry. The teachers are also hoped to play an active role towards students as to provide understanding in mastering concepts/formulas related to plane geometry so that mistakes can be reduced and students' abilities increase as expected. The purpose of this research is to find out the errors that often occur in solving math problems in plane geometry according to the types of error by Nolting made by Grade IV students in SDN 125 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The sample in this study consists of 44 students. Data collecting in this research was carried out through tests and interviews. The research instrument was in the form of a plane geometry test sheet. The research data were analyzed descriptively. After research conducting and data analysis, it can be concluded that errors often made by students are concept errors by 23%, application errors by 16%, careless errors by 9%, test procedure errors by 9%, and errors in misinterpreting instructions misread direction errors by 7%.Key Words: Student Error, Plane Geometry, Error Types by Nolting

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research is to develop the student’s work sheet on the subject of reaction rate.The research is done in FKIP Riau University. The method of this research is design reserach with the 4-D model which include Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. But this research is done until develop. The data research is validation’s result of student work sheet based on constructivism on reaction rate. The data analysis technique is descriptive statistic analysis and analysis done by percentage of validation score. The average scores of valuation by validator’s team from four expendiency components such as content, language, layout, and graphical are 92,86%, 93,33%, 95,83%, and 93,75%. In spite of average score totally of student worksheet based on contructisvism on reaction rate is 93,94% which is valid criteria. It means means student work sheet that is developed ready to use. Whereas percentage response of students is 95,75% to very good criteria.Key Words: Student Work Sheet, Constructivism, and Reaction Rate.
