Abstract

Abstract: This descriptive research aimed to find out the anxiety level of XI MIPA 4 students of SMA N 3 Mandau in speaking english as foreign language. The subjects of this study were XI MIPA 4 students of SMA N 3 Mandau in the academic year 2020/2021. 34 students employed in this study used The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale questionnaire, developedibyiHorwitzietial.i(1986). Iticonsists of 30 items with 5 points Likert-Scale. The results of the data analysis showed that there were 34 students in class XI MIPA4 of SMAN 3 Mandau whoihadidifferentilevelsiofianxietyiinispeakingiskill. (1) Thereiwere 5istudents (16%) whoiexperience “VeryiAnxious” level, (2) Thereiwere 12 students (29%) who experience “Anxious” level, it means most of XI MIPA 4 students in SMAN 3 Mandau felt Anxious in speaking English, (3) There were 7 students (23%) who experience “Mildly Anxious” level, (4) There were also 7 students (23%) who experience “Relaxed” level, (5) There were 3 students (9%) who experience “Very Relaxed” level in this researchKey Words: Analysis, Anxiety Level, Speaking Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the role of PPKn teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of the role of the Civics teacher on the moral intelligence of students at SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of the study was to determine whether there was an influence of the role of the Civics teacher on the moral intelligence of students at SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The benefits of research, hopefully with this research the authors hope that it can help become a source of knowledge and contribute to the world of education related to writing scientific papers about the role of teachers on the moral intelligence of students in schools. This research method is descriptive quantitative, data collection instrument using a questionnaire consisting of 16 question. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Cerenti, Kuantan Singingi Regency, amounting to 700 people consisting of class X, XI and XII, with a sample of 15% of the total population to 106 respondents using the Proportional Sampling Technique. Based on the results of the study, there is a positive influence between the role of Civics teachers on students' moral intelligence. This can be proven by a simple linear regression analysis using the SPSS application, namely = 4.727 + 0.608 X. The results of the above equation can be translated as a constant of 4.727 which means that the value of the consistency of the PPKn teacher's role is 4.727, the regression coefficient of X is 0.608 which states that the addition of 1 % of the value of the role of PPKn teachers, the students' moral intelligence will increase by 0.608. Abstract

Abstract : Learning presentation media as a tool used to convey learning messages by educators to students. This study aims to develop a Prezi-based presentation media on the human circulatory system material to train critical thinking for class XI high school students. The development of Prezi media was carried out using the ADDIE model until the development stage. on the aspects of media and materials using a validation sheet Prezi-based presentation media obtained an average value of 3.84 with a very valid category. These results show that Prezi-based presentation media on the human circulatory system material developed is very valid with very good quality as a learning medium for class XI high school students The use of Prezi-based presentation media as a learning medium in the material of the human circulatory system class XI SMA can be implemented on a wide scale and can also be redeveloped in the media aspect (software) and in learning materials other biology.Key Words: Prezi media, human circulatory system material, critical thinking

Abstract

Abstract: Based on its origin, Japanese vocabulary (goi) is divided into wago, kango and gairaigo. gairaigo are words taken from foreign languages that have been included in the Japanese language system. gairaigo broadly consists of 5 types; representational, replacement, truncated, altered, and pseudo terms. Gairaigo are loan words from foreign languages that have undergone adjustments, one of which is adjustments in writing. Gairaigo is not written using romanji as in the original language but is written using katakana characters. The research approach in this study uses a quantitative descriptive research approach. This research will be carried out at the University of Riau, the Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University, class 2018. The sample of this research was 24 students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Riau University, class 2018. The data collection method in this study used tests and questionnaires. Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the implementation of an online learning system that makes all learning activities carried out online based on the regulation of the ministry of education and culture no. 15 of 2020. These online learning activities affect all aspects of the school, especially students as subjects who participate in learning activities, namely on student behavior in the aspect of discipline, including collecting assignments that are not on time, being late in joining learning, being late for attendance and so on. The students in question are students of SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is how are students' perceptions of the discipline of learning Civics during online learning at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras. The purpose of this study was to find out how students perceive the discipline of learning Civics during online learning at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras, Pangkalan Kuras District from June 2021 to October 2021. This research method is descriptive quantitative, data collection techniques used are questionnaires (questionnaires), interviews and documentation with a sample of 102 people. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students' perceptions of the discipline of learning Civics during online learning at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras with a percentage of 83.57%. are in the "Very Good" category.Key Word: Learning Discipline, Online Learning

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the role of the principal as an educator and what are the obstacles in implementing it. To reveal the research focus, using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. In this study using data triangulation which was carried out simultaneously by researchers when conducting interviews, observations, and documentation of the selected data sources, the subjects of this study were: the principal. While the technique used in data analysis is interactive data analysis, through data reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study and the conclusions of the study indicate that: the role of the principal as an educator plays a role in its performance in the form of the principal always guiding, directing, and advising the teachers in the school. For school principals teaching and learning activities are the core of the education process and teachers are the main implementers and developers of the curriculum in schools, for that principals will pay attention to the level of competence of teachers, and principals always facilitate and encourage teachers to continuously improve their competencies. So that teaching and learning activities can run effectively and efficiently. The obstacles for now are in the form of health conditions, unstable networks and indirect training for teachers, because during the pandemic everything is online.Key Words: Principal, role, educator

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to design a Pocket Book of Basidiomycota Mushrooms for Class X Biology learning with Fungi as a learning resource in the form of a pocket book. This research was carried out at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University in September – November 2021. The basics in the stages of designing this pocket book are the Curriculum analysis stage and the pocket book design stage. The curriculum analysis stage is carried out by reviewing the 2013 curriculum and analyzing learning materials. The pocket book design stage is carried out by designing the syllabus and lesson plans first then the pocket book design is carried out, where the pocket book design consists of a cover, preface, table of contents, curriculum level, introduction, contents, and bibliography. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative where the method used is a survey method. Based on the results of the potential analysis, there are 29 types of Basidiomycota Mushrooms in the Arboretum Area, Riau University which can be used as a pocket book design on Fungi material in Biology learning class X SMA.Key Words: Pocket Book, Learning Media, Basidiomycota

Abstract

Abstract: The problem of this research is that athletes still lack mastery of the under the basketball shot technique, which can be seen when practicing or competing in doing under the basketball shots, it turns out that there are still many inaccurate shots that do not produce points. This study aims to determine the effect of under the basketball shot training on shooting skills in the men's basketball game at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. The form of this research is a pretest posttest one group design with a sample of 14 male basketball players at SMK N 2 Pekanbaru. The instrument used in this study was a 30-second shooting test norm. To test for normality using the Lilliefors test at a significant level of 0.05α.. The hypothesis proposed is that there is an effect of under the basketball shot training on shooting skills in the men's basketball game at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Based on the analysis of the normality test of the data, the results of the pree-test resulted in Lcount of 0.1879 and Ltable of 0.227 meaning Lcount < Ltable. While the post-test data resulted in Lcount 0.1955 and Ltable of 0.227 meaning Lcount < Ltable then, the data was normally distributed. Based on statistical data analysis, there is an average pree-test of 6.28 and an average post-test of 11.42 then based on t-test analysis, the t-test value is 16.58 and ttable is 1.771, so tcount > ttable, then Ho is rejected. and Ha accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of under the basketball shot training on shooting skills in the men's basketball game at SMK Negeri 2 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Under The Basket Shot Practice, Shooting Skills

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify and describe the types of metaphor used by journalist on COVID-19 issues in English newspaper and to find the dominant type of metaphor. This is a qualitative research with analysis method. The newspaper were used on this research are The Jakarta Post and China Daily. The newspaper during October 2020 were used and analyzed on COVID-9 issues only. There were 38 collected data from both newspapers. Structural metaphor appears 15 times, orientational metaphor appears 12 times, and ontological metaphor appears 11 times. Based on the research findings, it can be conclude that structural metaphor is the dominant type of metaphor that journalist used to write the news and their opinion in COVID-19 issues. It is suggested to the next researchers who are interested in metaphor need to more deepen analysis because news and data keep changing through times so that it can provide new results.Key Words: Metaphor, Metaphor in Newspaper, English Newspaper.

Abstract

Abstrak : This class action research was conducted with the effort to improve science process skills grade VIII2 MTs N Andalan Pekanbaru on aspects of verbal communicate through optimization of observation of objects picture with implementation in learning science. This study refers to Taggart and Kemmis model. The instruments used in this research is writing for prasiklus communications test, the cycle I and cycle II as well as oral communication observation sheet for cycles I and II. Based on the analysis of data obtained as a result of prasiklus in the written communication skills of students is still low, that is less then 50%. After the applied action on cycle I of the written communication skills of students increased significantly, that is 74,67%. Follow-up on action taken on the cycle II written skills students also increased to 79,01%. Likewise with oral communication in the first cycle obtained oral communication skills of students is low that is 65.63%, after the given action on the second cycle oral communication skills of students increased to 78.19%. So communication skills of students in the class VIII2 MTs N Andalan Pekanbaru in both written and spoken can be improved by optimizing the media image of the object of science in scientific learning with Light subject matter.Keywords: communication skills, scientific learning, science process skills
