Abstract

Abstract: This study is intended to discover the students’ perceptions on online English learning during the covid-19 pandemic at SMAN 1 Kubu Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. In the past three years online learning has become one of tremendous instructional process which has been in trend over the world, including Indonesia. This research used descriptive quantitative. In Likert-scale questionnaire was used in this study to investigate the students’ perspective of online learning with the options, compossed of strongly agree, agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. There were 82 students involved in this research. The findings shows that the positive perceptions reaches 89.0% the tenth year students of SMAN 1 Kubu agreed that the media used in English online learning is suitable to support the learning process. However, that 51.2 % of students agreed that students found difficulties in utilizing English online learning due to low skill in the instructional process.Keywords: online learning, perception

Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to describe students' thinking skills in the guided discovery learning model assisted by PhET media. The design used is a quasi-experimental: Posttest only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Koto Kampar Hulu Academic Year 2021/2022 with a sample of 52 students consisting of class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class totaling 28 students and class XI MIPA 2 as a control class. totaling 24 students. The data collection instrument was a test of critical thinking skills on stationary and running wave material consisting of 10 multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis through the average value of students' critical thinking skills and inferential analysis through the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with the help of the SPSS 25 program. The results showed that learning became more effective as seen from the average score - the average thinking skills of students in the experimental class were better than the control class and there were significant differences in students' critical thinking skills between the experimental class that applied the PhET media-assisted guided discovery learning model and the control class that applied conventional learning models.Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills,Guided Discovery,PhET.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is that in the implementation of Physical Education learning, especially the Floor Gymnastic subject, teachers tend to give value to students who can carry out perfect movements in Floor Exercise learning. This makes the learning outcomes that occur at SDN 192 Kota Pekanbaru not so good. This happened due to the low interest in student learning, a boring learning model which resulted in the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of subject teachers being taught unevenly. The purpose of this study was to find out whether through the discovery learning model applied by PJOK teachers can provide good roll forward learning outcomes. This type of research is classroom action assessment (PTK) which is a form of research that is reflective by taking certain actions in order to improve or improve classroom learning practices in a professional manner (Kanca, 2010: 108). The location of this research was carried out at SDN 192 Pekanbaru City, the reason for choosing this location was because SDN 192 Pekanbaru City. From the results of this study it can be concluded that there is an increase in forward roll through the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class V floor gymnastics at SDN 192 Pekanbaru city with an average score of 83 students' skills in the competent category with a classical completeness percentage of 83%.Key Words: Discovery Learning , Forward Roll.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the study was to describe the students' mastery of the concepts in class VII Islamic Middle School of Fullness by applying the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model with the Probing technique. The design used is Quasi Experiment: Posttest only control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII KeFullan Islamic Middle School for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a sample of 38 students consisting of class VII-A as the control class, totaling 19 students and class VII-B as the experimental class, totaling 19 students. student. The data collection instrument was a mastery test on the concept of temperature and heat, which consisted of 12 multiple choice questions which were tested for validity with a supervisor. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis through the average value of students' mastery of concepts and inferential analysis through normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests with the help of the SPSS 23 program. The results showed that learning increased as seen from the average mastery score Students' concepts in the experimental class applying Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning with the Probing technique have a score of 74.55% higher than the control class applying conventional learning a score of 63.59% and there is a significant difference in students' mastery of concepts between the experimental class and the control class .Keywords: Concept Mastery, Numbered Head Together (NHT) with Probing techniques.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled language politeness on Refly Harun's Youtube channel comments with the topic of Jakarta not flooding 2021. The purpose of this study is to describe comments that are in accordance with the principle of language politeness and that violate the principle of language politeness. The method used is a descriptive-synchronous method by describing qualitative data. Furthermore, the results of this study found 27 utterances that were in accordance with the adherence to the principle of language politeness and 9 violations of the principle of language compliance from a total of 225 data. The principle of politeness in question includes: (A) maxim of wisdom 2 data, (B) maxim of generosity of 2 data, (C) maxim of awarding 10 data, (D) maxim of simplicity of 1 data, (E) maxim of manufacturing of 2 data, and (F) maxim of sympathy of 10 data. violations of the principle of language compliance include: (A) 5 data discretion maxim, (B) 3 data award maxim, and (C) 1 data sympathy maxim.Keywords: adherence to the principle of civility, violation of the principle of civility, comments

Abstract

Abstract: Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out how the general attitude of male and female students towards hate speech and to find out the role of Bk teachers in viewing hate speech. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, interviews. The research subjects were determined using a total sampling technique, namely 124 students of class XI Social Sciences who met the requirements for researchers processing questionnaire data using SPPS 21. The results of the study as a whole were students' attitudes towards hate speech originating from hate speech carried out on social media the students of SMA Negeri 1 Keritang are in the very high category with the proportion of this being seen in the proportion per indicator. It can be seen that based on male and female gender, it turns out that they have a high category.Key Words: Attitudes, Hate Speeches

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a quantitative descriptive study which aims to determine the difficulties learning by students of class XII Pharmacy 2 SMK Negeri Kesehatan and Pariwisata Bangkinang in learning Japanese. The population in this study were all students of class XII Pharmacy 2 which amounted to 40 students, while the sample in this study amounted to 20 students. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. Based on the results of the questionnaire analysys showed that students of class XII Pharmachy 2 had difficulty in reading and writing hiragana and hiragana, difficulty in writing sentence in Japanese, difficulty in asking and confirming ownership of objects, difficulty in borrowing and lending stationery in Japanese.Key Word: Learning difficulty, Japanese

Abstract

Abstract: This study is about the use of idiom in a novel entitled Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children.The aim of this study is to find out whether or not idioms are found in the novel, the type of idiom based on McCarthy and O’Dell‟s theory (2010), and the meanings of idioms found in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. The object of the study was the English idiom in the novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. The data were the phrases or words found in the novel. The data was collected in a particular way called a data collection method. The researcher collected the data by utilizing purposive sampling or judgment sampling. The theory that the researcher used for the data analysis is by Creswell (2009) and the categorizations using McCarthy and O'Dell (2010) theory. First, the data were identified to prove whether or not there were idioms. Second, the data were classified based on the types of idiom by McCarthy and O'Dell (2010). Third, the data were counted to get the percentage of each type of idioms. Then, the data were analyzed to understand the meaning of the collected data. Based on data analysis, there were found 63 idioms in the novel. Based on the analysis of the sentence in the novel, from 63 were classified into 7 types of idiom offered by McCarthy and O’Dell used. The researcher found there were 32 data of simile with 50,7% percentage, 7 data of cliché with 11,1% percentage, 10 data of fixed statement with 15,8% percentage, 4 data of euphemism 6,3% percentage, 6 Data of binomial with 9,5% percentage, 1 data of trinomial with 1,6% percentage, and 3 data of other languages with 4,7% percentage.Key Words: Idiom, Novel

Abstract

Abstract: This is a research on developing Android-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on watashi no kazoku material. The purpose of this study was to determine the procedure for developing Android-based worksheets on watashi no kazoku material and its level of validation in improving the ability to write Japanese transactional texts for class X according to the assessment of material experts and media experts. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE development model by Dick and Carry. Data obtained from the validation sheet of material experts and media experts. The results of this study indicate that based on the assessment of the two validators, Android-based worksheets to improve the ability to write Japanese transactional texts for Class X are in the valid category. Thus, android-based worksheets on watashi no kazoku material are suitable for use in Japanese class X learning.Key words: Student Worksheets, Writing skills, Japanese Transactional Texts
