Abstract

Current technological developments produce various kinds of innovations and creations in all things, which goal to facilitate all human activities. There are various kinds of tools for testing, ranging from tensile testing, compressive testing and hardness testing. In this case, this research designs and develops miniature tensile test kits. Our goal is to do tensile testing to find out the yield strength, elongation, tensile strength and elastic modulus. This tensile test equipment is designed using a servo motor with 3 AC inputs, 105 V, 0.7 A with 100 watt output and 3000 rad / min motor rotation comparable (477.46 rpm), power transfer using fan belt. This servo motor is controlled by a servo amplifier that goal is to send a signal to control the motor speed, motor rotation direction. The servo amplifier is then connected to a laptop / computer to regulate the amplifier, and describes the test results in the form of stress and strain graphs that occur in tensile test specimens. The component components of the tensile test equipment analyzed in this study are; specimen pin, grip and grip holder). The goal is to determine the maximum stress that occurs so it can be categorized as safe or not used for testing aluminium (Al) and Copper (Cu) specimens. To find out the component is safe or not with the help of the Solid works 2014 software. By analyzing the maximum von Mises stress that occurs in each component analyzed for use in aluminium (Al) and Copper (Cu) specimens.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of skills for doing batik. This type of evaluation research implements a qualitative approach to the evaluation of CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. The number of samples choosen is the Institue of Doing Batiks, or Batik Skills Institut, which were taken from locations in several towns namely, Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi and Tangerang. Data collection techniques used interview, questionnaire, observation, and collecting photographic evidence as well as research.documents. The research ‘s results cover, Aspects of formulation of the problem, the standard of learners, teacher qualifications of doing batik, the use of educational standards, curriculum of doing and financing batik skill’s program entirely meet the program criteria. Aspects of the standard formulation of the problem and the learner has met the criteria decided, while the tutor qualification of doing batik, the use of educational facilities and infrastructure standards, curriculum and program financing has not been entirely fulfilled. Aspects of the discipline and the effevtiveness of learning process has also met the criteria decided. While the evaluation of learning outcomes have not met yet fully in accordance with the evaluation criteria decided. The aspects of competency’s mastery have not also met theory, practice and mastery of competencies graduation mark the program have been met, but program participants have not assured a promising future when the participants have completed their training program so it can be asserted batik skills program continued to do some repairs. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the implementation of the School/ Madrasah accreditation program at the SMA/SMK/MA level in Palembang city. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Hypothetical model by George Edward lll, namely: communication, resources, dispositions or profesional notes, bureucratic structures. Data collection techniques used are about documentation, interviews and observation. The data analysis technique used is the technique of Miles and Huberman, analysis activities consist of three activities or processes that occur simultaneously namely: data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/ verification. In fact, the results of this study relating to the communication the resources used – the disposition or Notes of policy – and the bureaucratic structure that all 4 components show: 1) The communication component is carried out through 4 activities: a) coordination meeting between BAP (police investigation report) – School /Madrasah at Provincial levels with UPA (Advocate Professional Exams) - School /Madrasah at District /City levels is carried out properly in accordance with the objectives. b) Training on renewal of accreditation assessors to meet the needs of trustworthy and competent assessors has been achieved well c) Seminar on the results of accreditation implementation that socializes the results of the implementation of accreditation to stakeholders in the area concerned, regarding the status of school / madrasah accreditation about rank A, B, C , and Not Accredited has been implemented and achieved. d) Dissemination and the introduction of school/ madrasah accreditation to the dissemination of information in the form of a directory, to schools/madrasas has been carried out but is still not maximally up to the target. 2). the resources used to support the success of the school/ madrasah accreditation program in the implementation of accreditation programs cover 3 things namely, a) Facilities and infrastructure needed for the implementation of school/madrasah accreditation are not sufficiently equipped for the accreditation needs of schools/madrasas properly. b) Sources of funds for implementing activities in financial management, financial reporting and financial accountability reports are clear and correct. c) Human resources assessors, school accreditation teams and secretariat staff have carried out their duties and functions well and smoothly. 3) Disposition or Notes of policy implementers about accreditation work with full awareness oriented to guidelines and rules are implemented well, and 4) The bureaucratic structure of accreditation activities through monitoring and evaluating the performance of BAP-S/M and the BAP-S/M secretariat on the implementation of accreditation programs has been carried out although still not yet optimal. Abstract

Benchmarks of educational success can be seen from the achievement of student learning outcomes through national examinations held by the government at least once in the education level unit: SMA, SMK, and MA here, since 2014, the government has changed the pen and paper-based national examinations to become computer-based national examinations. The system is implemented semi-online which means the questions are sent online and students work on the problems manually via the school computer off-line. Changes to the examination system must be accompanied by adequate and professional human resources as implementers and information technology systems. This research was carried out by taking a sample of 7 schools (high schools, vocational schools, and MA), all of which are in Jakarta. The research method is qualitatively using observation and interviews. The design of the research design is a combination of two research models namely CIPP and Kirkpatrick. The results of the study show that computer-based exams have more advantages compared to paper-based exams in terms of the distribution of questions and answers, time for examining results, and reducing paper usage. Abstract

Report of a test assessment is usually carried out separately between the level of difficulty of the test items and the student’s ability. In addition, the analysis of test results is sometimes not clearly presented in a complete and in-depth explanation. This study aimed to explain the assessment process on the instrument of Science Literacy Test for Indonesian Students (SLTIS) conducted by 94 students from the 9th grade of junior high school. Those were 41 students from private schools and 53 from public schools. There were 36 test items with four possible answers for each item. In details, the findings were reported as follows: the item reliability was very good; two items were indicated to have different item functioning (DIF), and the data were fit to the model; public school students were slightly better than private school students, and there was no difference in achievement between male and female students. SLTIS instrument was suitable for diagnostic test and had a high information value on the students with moderate ability. The current study presented a smart way on how to apply the objective measurement to improve the education assessment.
