Journal of Indonesian Agribusiness is a periodical scientific journals of agribusiness in Indonesia. This journal is media of information dissemination which is the thinking results and research of lecturers, researchers and practitioners who are interested in agribusiness development. This journal is expected to help the agribusiness practitioners, policy makers, lecturer, students, and other people to get better understanding of the situation and condition of Indonesian agribusiness. Especially, benefit for the Indonesian agribusiness development and generally for improving the welfare of the Indonesian people. Abstract

This study aims to determine the efficiency and risk in shallot farming in Gebang District, Cirebon Regency, West Java. The research method used was a survey method of 44 shallot farmers selected purposively. Data analysis used includes: (1) Descriptive Analysis, (2) Cobb-Douglas Production Function with the SFA approach using Frontier 4.1, (3) Coefficient of Diversity, and (4) Coefficient of Risk Aversion. The results show that factors influencing shallot production were land area, seeds, SP-36 fertilizer, KCl fertilizer and labor. Farmers in their farming activities have achieved a good level of technical, allocative and economic efficiency. The aspect of technical efficiency, farmers have been able to achieve maximum output from a given set of input and from the aspect of allocative efficiency farmers have been able to use optimum inputs to produce a certain amount of output. Technical inefficiency is influenced by age, length of formal education, length of business and the number of farmer family members. Shallot farmers in the Gebang subdistrict, Cirebon, in running their farming business do not think about production risk and income risk.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and improve the business model of Sepakat feed bank group, Tanggat Village, Monta District, Bima Regency. Data collection procedures through in-depth interviews and focus group discussion. Data analysis using business model canvas approach and SWOT analysis to produce a business model prototype. The results of this study show elements that must be improved in the initial mapping of the business model are value proposition, channel, key activities, key resources, key partner and revenue stream. The SWOT analysis illustrates that the strengths possessed are well-mapped customers and abundant raw materials. The weaknesses are low quality of human resources to maintenance feed process equipment, limited land, lack of superior forage varieties, product distribution channels are not varied and limited business capital. Opportunities that can be exploited are the development of new feed product, utilization of information technology and government support. The threats they face are dependence on one feed product and the climate. Improvement strategies carried out include creating new products (value proposition), utilizing various facilities for selling product such as social media and BUMDes (channels), establishing separate business units to manage feed banks (key activities), making superior forage by utilizing Bima Regency government land (key resources), cooperate with financial institutions (key partners) and add variety of feed product as main source of income (revenue stream).

Abstract

Pengembangan usaha ikan patin di Provinsi Riau khususnya kabupaten Kampar tergantung kepada sumber daya manusia (SDM) kreatif dan inovatif serta memiliki daya saing. Usaha ikan patin mendapatkan dorongan dari pembudidaya ikan, pengusaha, dan pemerintah, hal ini dibuktikan dengan program peningkatan produksi ikan patin yang gencar dilakukan di masyarakat untuk pegembangan usaha ikan patin dengan bertambahnya minat masyarakat dan pengusaha ikan patin karena menyediakan peluang usaha yang baik di masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh jiwa kewirausahaan dan manajemen agribisnis terhadap keberhasilan usaha budidaya ikan patin di Kabupaten Kampar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. pengambilan sampel adalah non probability sampling berjumlah 153 responden. Metode pengumpulan adalah pengisian kuesioner. Data diolah dengan menggunakan model persamaan struktural (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS). hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) jiwa kewirausahaan yang dimiliki oleh pembudidaya ikan patin di Kabupaten Kampar menempati kategori skor sangat baik. Jiwa kewirausahaan yang dimiliki yaitu motivasi, melihat peluang, berani mengambil resiko, mandiri dan orientasi terhadap pencapaian. Berani mengambil resiko mempunyai skor paling tinggi yaitu 88,86. (2) manajemen agribisnis yang dimiliki oleh pembudidaya ikan patin termasuk kategori sangat baik. Pelaksanaan mempunyai skor paling tinggi yaitu 90%. (3) Keberhasilan usaha yang capai oleh pembudidaya ikan patin di Kabupaten Kampar diukur melalui tiga kriteria yaitu ukuran perusahaan, pertumbuhan usaha dan keuntungan. Skor keberhasilan usaha masuk kedalam kategori sangat baik. Keberhasilan usaha dengan skor tertinggi dimiliki oleh indikator peningkatan keuntungan dengan skor 87,43 persen

Abstract

Bakso is the popular food in Indonesia and has many kinds of variation. One of them is Bakso Bakwan Malang Cak Su Kumis which has been established for decades by maintaining its unique taste. This study aims to identify the characteristics, analyze the level of satisfaction and the consumer loyalty. In this study, there were 100 respondents included. The methods used in this study are descriptive analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and brand loyalty pyramid analysis. The results of the CSI analysis showed that the value of customer satisfaction has a score of 79,99 which states that consumers are satisfied. Besides that, analysis of the level of consumer loyalty shows that even though consumers are satisfied with the restaurant performance, consumers are not loyal yet. Hence, the performance improvement can be conducted by improving attributes with low performance such as sale promotion, serving time, name board, price and food hygiene.

Abstract

Sistem kandang merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung dalam usaha peternakan ayam broiler. Teknologi peternakan di Indonesia terus berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan zaman. Selain itu, perhitungan finansial dibutuhkan dalam suatu usaha untuk mengetahui keuntungan usaha yang dijalankan. Penelitian dilakukan di Peternakan Ayam Dekem Tengah Sawah Desa Sumberagung, Kecamatan Peterongan, Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan sistem kandang closed house (semi otomatis dan otomatis) milik Peternakan Ayam Dekem Tengah Sawah melalui analisis finansial. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu periode pemeliharaan ayam broiler tanpa dilakukan perlakuan khusus terhadap ternak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis finansial hasil pemeliharaan ayam broiler menggunakan sistem kandang closed house otomatis lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan hasil pemeliharaan ayam broiler menggunakan sistem kandang closed house semi otomatis.

Abstract

Robusta coffee is a major commodity cultivated in Pagar Alam City. Coffee production increased by 65,1 percent from 2020 to 2021 is experiencing problems weak bargaining position of farmers in determining prices. This study aims to analyze the Robusta coffee marketing system in Pagar Alam City using market structure, market conduct, and market performance approaches. Determination of the farmer’s sample using purposive sampling method which identified 80 farmer respondents and 15 marketing agency respondents using the snowball sampling method. The structure of the Robusta coffee market in Pagar Alam City indicates an oligopoly. The Robusta coffee market faces a concentrated market with little competition indicating barriers to market entry. This is shown by the CR4 value of 0,64 where there are barriers to entry with an average MES (Minimum Efficiency Scale) value from 2018 to 2022 with a value of 12,1 percent. Robusta coffee marketing channels involve farmers and marketing institutions such as collecting traders, cooperatives and industries. Marketing channel 1 is relatively efficient where the marketing margin has the smallest value 37,78 percent and the farmer's share value with the highest value is 62,22 percent. Efforts to overcome an inefficient marketing system include disseminating market information through applications and websites, adding value to products, and forming farmer groups. Abstract

The shrimp commodity significantly contributes to the total export value of the fisheries sub-sector in Indonesia. In 2021, Indonesia will become the fourth largest exporter of frozen shrimp on the world market. However, the value of Indonesia's frozen shrimp exports continues to fluctuate every year. Indonesia's frozen shrimp exports also face various challenges from non-tariff measures (NTM) policies, incredibly sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) and technical barriers to trade (TBT) imposed by importing countries. This study aims to analyze the performance of Indonesia's frozen shrimp trade in destination markets and the impact of NTM policies and other factors on Indonesian shrimp exports in destination markets. This research uses panel data model regression. The results showed there was still rejection of fishery products including frozen shrimp from Indonesia in importing countries due to excess chemical content. But the number of rejections is less than one percent compared to the total received. This is in line with the panel data regression results for the SPS variable which is not significant and the TBT variable which has a significant and positive effect. The non-significant results indicate that exporters in Indonesia can adjust the policies imposed by the importing country relating to product certification criteria, sampling procedures, packaging requirements, distribution requirements, and labeling requirements. For this reason, the Indonesian government needs to improve regarding rejection is the need for accurate and thorough sample testing of Indonesian frozen shrimp before export, as well as increasing assistance regarding threshold limits for chemical use for shrimp cultivators at the upstream level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh strategi bisnis dan pemanfaatan teknologi terhadap kinerja usaha dengan keberlanjutan usaha sebagai intervening variable di UMKM Kota Depok. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner secara langsung. Data dianalisis dengan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Lisrel. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah para pelaku usaha UMKM di Kota Depok. Jumlah sampel diambil sebanyak 110 responden berdasarkan perhitungan teknik penyederhanaan model LVS (laten variabel skor). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh langsung baik untuk strategi bisnis tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha dan pemanfaatan teknologi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha, sedangkan untuk pengaruh tidak langsung keduanya signifikan yaitu untuk strategi bisnis berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha melalui keberlanjutan usaha dan pemanfaatan teknologi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha melalui keberlanjutan usaha, dan keberlanjutan usaha terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran implikasi manajerial berupa rekomendasi dan strategi untuk keberlanjutan usaha UMKM yang akan berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja UMKM di Indonesia.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi masyarakat saat ini meningkat dengan pesat, salah satunya masyarakat Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Terbukti dengan banyaknya pelaku usaha yang bermunculan untuk menghasilkan barang dan jasa atau produk sejenis yang memiliki keunggulan tertentu serta adanya perkembangan baru di bidang teknologi komunikasi dan informasi seperti adanya jaringan internet, e-mail, market place dan lain-lain, menjadikan masyarakat lebih aktif dalam menentukan dan memutuskan kebutuhannya. Para pelaku usaha berlomba-lomba menerapkan berbagai strategi pemasaran untuk memanfaatkan peluang pasar, dengan menawarkan produk yang sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan konsumen. Berdasarkan informasi tersebut, konsumen membuat berbagai pilihan dan memutuskan untuk membeli, karena produk dan harga merupakan hal yang sangat menentukan perilaku konsumen dalam melakukan pembelian suatu produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh produk dan harga terhadap keputusan pembelian gula semut di CV. Latanza Banyuwangi. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan simple random sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 30 responden. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa produk dan harga secara parsial maupun simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Harga merupakan faktor terpenting yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian, karena sebelum melakukan keputusan pembelian konsumen akan mempertimbangkan harga terlebih dahulu dengan manfaat yang diterima.

Abstract

Indonesian coffee export has reached various countries, and one of its destinations is Japan. Moreover, Indonesia and Japan have begun to normalize their bilateral trade through the Indonesia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (IJEPA). However, the average Indonesian coffee export to Japan shows a downturn which is expected due to low competitiveness and utilization of IJEPA. This research aims to examine the competitiveness and its effect towards Indonesian coffee export to Japan in the long and short term and employs multiple linear regression using the Error Correction Mechanism (ECM) approach. The research result shows that Indonesian coffee has a medium comparative advantage in the Japanese market with downturn growth during the 2001–2022 period. The regression results suggest that the economic distance significantly affects Indonesian coffee exports in the short term. Furthermore, the other factors that affect Indonesian coffee exports in the long term are Japan’s real GDP, Japan’s inflation rate, and IJEPA implementation.
