Journal of Indonesian Agribusiness is a periodical scientific journals of agribusiness in Indonesia. This journal is media of information dissemination which is the thinking results and research of lecturers, researchers and practitioners who are interested in agribusiness development. This journal is expected to help the agribusiness practitioners, policy makers, lecturer, students, and other people to get better understanding of the situation and condition of Indonesian agribusiness. Especially, benefit for the Indonesian agribusiness development and generally for improving the welfare of the Indonesian people. Abstract

Banyuasin is a regency with the largest rice field area in South Sumatra. Yet, there are several problems in marketing rice, namely the low price received by farmers, price fluctuations, and lack of market information. This research aimed to analyze the efficiency of rice marketing in Banyuasin Regency. Sampling method in this research used snowball sampling. Data analysis of rice marketing efficiency used the structure, conduct, and Performance (SCP) approach. The results of the analysis showed that there were five marketing channels for rice in Banyuasin Regency. The market structure formed was an oligopsony market structure. Market performance is evaluated by calculating margins, farmer's share, and the ratio of profits and marketing costs where each channel has a different value. The most efficient marketing channel is marketing channel two which has a lowest marketing margin of Rp. 2.500 with a fairly high farmer's share value of 75 percent, and the highest profit and cost ratio value is 1,26. Rice farmers were expected to be able to take advantage of farmer groups in marketing their products. This can help farmers market their products more efficiently. In marketing rice, farmers are also suggested to process their products into rice. Therefore, the profits received by farmers can increase.

Abstract

The C.A.F.E. certification scheme (Coffee and Farmer's Equity) practices designed to produce high quality coffee, high prices, pay attention to fair relations with farmers, workers, communities, and protect the environment. However, valid data on the benefits of C.A.F.E practices for farmers remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the sustainable coffee plantations based on the index with Rap-Coffee through the Multidimensional Scaling (M.D.S.) method. The aspects studied in this research are economical, ecological, social, institutional, and technological dimensions. This research conducted in Enrekang Regency from March to June 2021. Respondents in the study are farmers who are members of the C.A.F.E certification program practices that consist of 110 farmers and three coffee experts Respondents from the farmer group were selected by random sampling, while respondents from the stakeholder group were selected by purposive sampling. The results of the sustainability analysis of certified coffee plantations in Enrekang Regency on each dimension are the economic dimension (55,03), social dimension (62,36), ecological dimension (71,27), institutional dimension (68,39) and technological dimension (64,92), and the sustainability index status of all dimensions is included in the moderately sustainable category. At the same time, the analysis results of the multidimensional sustainability index is 66,91, including the category of moderately sustainable. The sustainability of C.A.F.E. practices certified coffee plantations in each dimension has a different sustainability index, so different policies are needed to evaluate the sustainability of coffee plantations in the Enrekang Regency.

Abstract

Perempuan dalam agribisnis sutera alam memiliki peran yang besar dari segala aspek, salah satunya yaitu perempuan berperan dalam pendapatan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pendapatan yang terima oleh tenaga kerja perempuan pada setiap kegiatan dalam usaha agribisnis sutera alam di Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021 hingga Januari 2022 di Kecamatan Donri-Donri dan Kecamatan Lilirilau, Kabupaten Soppeng. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan tenaga kerja perempuan pada setiap subsistem kegiatan serta dengan pembagian kuesioner. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis pendapatan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu rata-rata pendapatan yang diperoleh oleh tenaga kerja perempuan pada setiap sub-sistem usaha agribinis sutera alam pada satu kali siklus produksi, yaitu: (1) dalam kegiatan budidaya murbei rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 430.834, (2) dalam kegiatan budidaya ulat sutera rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 283.751, (3) dalam kegiatan pemintalan rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 602.917, (4) dalam kegiatan penenunan rata-rata pendapatan sebesar Rp. 351.701, (5) serta pada kegiatan distribusi dan pemasaran sutera, rata-rata pendapatan yang diterima oleh Brand Cantika Sabbena sebesar Rp. 9.530.000. Pendapatan yang diperoleh dari setiap kegiatan memiliki sifat yang fluktuasi yang disebabkan oleh kondisi produksi pada bagian hulu dan permintaan sutera asli oleh konsumen pada bagian hilir.

Abstract

The use of internet is not only as information and communication media, currently the internet is also useful in online business transactions. The agricultural sector is a potential sector to grow along with the high growth of e-commerce in Indonesia. Nowadays, platforms that specialize in selling fruits and vegetables online are constantly emerging. One of the factors that causing the increase in online fruit and vegetable purchases is the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the continuous growth, it turns out that there are still some consumers who are reluctant to make purchases online with one of the reasons being worried about product mismatches if shopping through an online platform. This research aimed to analyze the influence of consumer perceptions of brand trust, brand image, and promotion in choosing an online fruit and vegetable purchasing platform during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Greater Jakarta area. This research used a survey method with a sampling technique using purposive sampling and the data in this research analyzed with descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The conclusion in this research showed that consumer perceptions of brand trust, brand image and promotion have a positive and significant effect on the decision to choose an online fruit and vegetable purchasing platform in Jabodetabek during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sense of security provided by the platform, the quality of the products offered and also the many attractive offers available are the most dominant things considered by respondents in choosing an online fruit and vegetable purchasing platform.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi saluran pemasaran TBS kelapa sawit di wilayah Kecamatan Ngabang dan menganalisis struktur perilaku dan kinerja pasarnya. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan menggunakan metode purporsive sampling sehingga diperoleh tiga desa di wilayah Kecamatan Ngabang. Responden penelitian ini adalah produsen atau petani kelapa sawit dan semua organisasi yang berperan dalam pemasaran TBS kelapa sawit. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya tiga saluran pemasaran untuk TBS kelapa sawit: Saluran pemasaran 1 yaitu, dimulai dari petani menjual ke pedangang pengumpul dan kemudian ke agen besar yang mendistribusikan TBS ke pabrik. Selanjutnya saluran pemasaran ke 2, dimulai dari petani menjual ke agen besar kemudian langsung menuju ke pabrik. Serta saluran Pemasaran ke 3, di mulai dari petani menjual kepada pedagang pengumpul dan langsung menuju pabrik pengolahan. Struktur pasar pasar TBS kelapa sawit diidentifikasikan sebagai pasar oligopoli, hasil ini ditunjukan dari nilai pangsa pasar (market share), konsentrasi rasio (CR4), indeks Herfindahl, dan hambatan untuk masuk dan keluar pasar setiap lembaga pemasaran yang ada menunjukan nilai yang tidak berbeda jauh. Kinerja atau market performance masing-masing saluran pemasaran menunjukkan bahwa margin, bagian yang diterima petani dan keuntungan terbesar terdapat pada saluran pemasaran II.

Abstract

Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan Indonesia pada periode pertama Pemerintahan Joko Widodo, Susi Pudjiastuti, membuat terobosan kebijakan perikanan tangkap, yaitu moratorium kapal asing. Kebijakan ini membuat seluruh kapal asing tidak dapat menangkap ikan di perairan Indonesia. Kapal asing yang kedapatan menangkap ikan di perairan Indonesia ditangkap, disita, dan ditenggelamkan. Pemerintah Indonesia mengklaim moratorium kapal asing mampu meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan Indonesia dan mempermudah nelayan Indonesia dalam menangkap ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji klaim manfaat moratorium kapal asing terhadap rumah tangga nelayan Indonesia. Data Survei Ekonomi Nasional (Susenas) menjadi data utama penelitian ini. Data Susenas diolah sehingga menampilkan data pada tingkat kabupaten atau kota di Indonesia. Data ini kemudian digabungkan dengan data Potensi Desa dan data produksi perikanan tangkap yang dikeluarkan oleh KKP. Penggabungan data bertujuan untuk menentukan kabupaten atau kota kontrol dan perlakuan. Data lalu diolah dan dianalisa menggunakan metode Difference in Difference (DiD). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa moratorium kapal asing menurunkan pengeluaran per kapita rumah tangga nelayan sebesar Rp 80.988,25. Di sisi lain, moratorium kapal asing membuat durasi bekerja nelayan bertambah sebesar 39 hingga 40 menit per hari (asumsi enam hari kerja). Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga nelayan Indonesia belum mendapatkan manfaat dari moratorium kapal asing. Oleh karena itu, kebijakan ini perlu didukung oleh kebijakan lainnya sehingga mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan nelayan Indonesia.

Abstract

Jawa Barat memiliki tingkat konsumsi daging sapi di atas tingkat konsumsi rata-rata nasional. Daging sapi menjadi komoditas penting bagi masyarakat dan perekonomian Jawa Barat. Namun harga daging sapi di Jawa Barat menunjukkan tidak stabil. Pada bulan Mei 2021 daging sapi menjadi penyumbang inflasi terbesar kedua di Jawa Barat. Kenaikan inflasi akan berdampak negatif terhadap para pelaku ekonomi, sehingga upaya stabilisasi harga komoditas daging sapi penting untuk dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi harga daging sapi di Jawa Barat. Dengan berbasiskan data sekunder time series tahun 2003-2020 dan melalui metode Error Correction Model (ECM), hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada jangka panjang variabel harga daging ayam dan harga daging sapi internasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga daging sapi di Jawa Barat, dan pada jangka pendek variabel populasi sapi potong berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap harga daging sapi di Jawa Barat. Untuk menstabilkan harga daging sapi diperlukan penambahan populasi sapi potong.

Abstract

Cilembu's sweet potato is a superior sweet potato variety in West Java that already has marketing and export certification from the Ministry of Agriculture. The majority of farmers make Cilembu's sweet potato as the main cultivation commodity in Cilembu Village. Unfortunately, the value of the R/C ratio of Cilembu's sweet potatoes is still lower than the general varieties of sweet potatoes. In addition, research about the income of Cilembu's sweet potato farmers based on the irrigation technique was used to obtain a more specific profitability comparison. Therefore, the research aims to (1) identify the motivation of farmers, (2) analyze the comparison of farming revenues, (3) analyze the comparison of farming expenses, and (4) analyze the comparison of income and profitability of Cilembu's sweet potato farming based on the irrigation technique. Quantitative descriptive methods and farm income analysis were used to answer the research objectives. The results showed that the majority of farmers have motivation for land suitability, high commodity prices, hereditary factors, and efforts to meet their family needs as reasons for cultivating Cilembu's sweet potato. The total revenue from Cilembu's sweet potato farming using sprinkle water techniques was IDR 126.023.357/season and raindrop farmers to IDR 85.824.193/season. Total expenditure from Cilembu's sweet potato farming activities with sprinkle water technique was IDR 78.767.459/season and IDR 73.891.564 for raindrop farmers. Farming income analysis concluded that sprinkle water farmers have higher incomes than raindrop farmers. Therefore, Cilembu's sweet potato cultivation with sprinkle water technique is certainly more profitable for farmers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan replikasi studi sebelumnya karena inkonsistensi temuan pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan pada inovasi produk. Sehingga studi ini berkontribusi mengenalkan inovasi produk yang memperkuat pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan pada kinerja bisnis. Kontadiksi hasil terjadi pada hubungan pengaruh inovasi produk dan kinerja bisnis. Studi ini bertujuan untuk: menganalisis pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan pada inovasi produk, mengevaluasi hubungan inovasi produk dan kinerja bisnis, dan menginvestigasi pengaruh Orientasi Kewirausahaan pada Kinerja Bisnis. Responden penelitian ini adalah 104 pengusaha atau petani Kopi yang berlokasi di Temanggung. Kuesioner disebarkan secara daring dengan metode purposive sampling. Data dianalisis dengan Partial Least Sqaure Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM), hasil pengolahan digunakan untuk pengujian konstruk dan hipotesis. Penelitian membuktikan bahwa semakin baik tingkat orientasi kewirausahaan dan inovasi produk meningkatkan level kinerja bisnis. Inovasi produk berpengaruh positif pada kinerja bisnis. Inovasi produk mampu memediasi pengaruh positif antara orientasi kewirausahaan dan kinerja bisnis.

Abstract

Local culture is expected to be related to women entrepreneurs, including access to finance and training activities. Bugis is one of the Indonesian ethnicities that have cultural values related to women's entrepreneurship. This paper aims to: (1) explain the characteristics of women entrepreneurs and Bugis cultural values: reso (hard work), macca (smart and skilled), passibijaang (kinship), and barani (courage to take risks) in women entrepreneurs; and (2) measure the correlations between Bugis cultural values (reso, macca, passibijaang, and barani) and access to finance and training. Primary data were obtained from online surveys and surveys by face-to-face interviews. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample size of 205 respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation with Person's rank. The results show that (1) The reso and macca cultures of entrepreneurial women tend to be high, while the passibijaang and barani cultures of women entrepreneurs tend to be medium; (2) Macca and barani cultures are positively correlated with access to finance. Macca culture is weakly correlated with financial access, while Barani culture is pretty strongly correlated with access to finance. Passibijaang culture is weakly positively correlated with access to training. The paper recommends establishing a community that helps rural women entrepreneurs enhance entrepreneurship knowledge and skills.
