Abstract

Using Problem Based Instruction method is capable to improve Learning outcomes compare to Cooperative Learning method, particularly Think Pair Share type. Outcomes is measured based on final exam result.The intent of this comparison study using two above methods is allowing us to differentiate the average cognitive aspect of student’s learning outcomes in physics. The design of this study uses Post Test-Only Control type in Quasi Experiment Design form. The analytical of learning outcome uses the mean score of final exam, while the hypothetical uses independent Sample T-Test,Refers to independent test result analysis between Problem Based Instruction and Think Pair Share method, there is difference in average mark two clases gained in their final exam. Quantitative data shows that Problem Based Instruction method has higher value compare to Think Pair Share method. Students in the class who are using Problem Based Instruction methode have become proactive and directly involve in learning process. It may lead us to effectivemess of the method that has significant contribution in improving student's learning outcom.Keywords: Problem Based Instruction, Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share Type, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to know: the positive influences the significances of metacognition toward the competence of the concepts of physics for senior high school by cooperative model with think pair share; are there positive influences and significances of metacognition skills toward critical thinking for senior high school students, by cooperative model with think pair share type. This research uses one-shot case study design. Those influences can be measured by holding final test or post test for the students after the learning process and metacognition skills, by cooperative learning model with think pair share type. The competence of physics concepts and critical thinking of metacognition skills of students were examined by regression test. Based on this research, can be concluded that: there are positive influences and significances of metacognition skills toward the competence of physics concepts through cooperative learning model with think pair share type; there are positive influences significances toward critical thinking of senior high school students by cooperative learning model with think pair share type. Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the average differences of students’ learning results between those who used discussion method based on science generic skill and lecturing learning method. This research used true experimental design with posttest-only control design. The results showed that: a) there were average difference results of students’ who learn physic between discussions method based on science generic skill and those who used lecturing learning method; b) the students’ learning results that used discussions method based on science generic skill are higher (82.00) than those who used lecturing learning method (70.55).Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa antara metode diskusi berbasis keterampilan generik sains dengan metode pembelajaran ceramah. Desain eksperimen pada penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk True Experimental Design dengan tipe Posttest-Only Control Design. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah a). ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran fisika antara metode diskusi berbasis keterampilan generik sains dengan metode pembelajaran ceramah. b). Hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode diskusi berbasis keterampilan generik sains lebih tinggi dibandingkan yang menggunakan ceramah. Dengan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar pada kelas yang menggunakan metode diskusi berbasis keterampilan generik sains 82,00 sedangkan pada kelas yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran ceramah 70,55.Kata kunci: ceramah, hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan generik sains, metode diskusi.

Abstract

The Result of observation showed that there are still many students who received grades below the minimum completeness criteria. One aspect that is thought to affect it less optimal assessment activities assigned by the teacher during the learning process especially on aspects of cognitive assessment. This research aimed to know the effect of ongoing assessment using IF-AT (Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique) technique on learning results through team-based learning models. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Banyumas Pringsewu, using a class that X4 class with the number of samples 33 students and using the design of One-Shot Case Study. This research uses data from the IF-AT results obtained through the average value of the IF-AT test results in ongoing assessment and student learning results data. Then carried out to examine the effect of linearity test, correlation and simple linear regression between the data the IF-AT results and student learning results. The results of research showed that there are significant positive linear and significant correlation between ongoing assessment IF-AT technique on students learning results.Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak siswa yang memperoleh nilai di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Salah satu aspek yang diduga mempengaruhi hal tersebut adalah kurang optimalnya kegiatan penilaian yang diberikan oleh guru selama proses pembelajaran khususnya pada aspek penilaian ranah kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ongoing assessment teknik IF-AT (Immediate Feedback Assessment Technique) terhadap hasil belajar melalui model team based learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Banyumas Pringsewu, menggunakan satu kelas yaitu kelas X4 dengan jumlah sampel 33 siswa dan menggunakan desain One-Shot Case Study. Pene-litian ini menggunakan data hasil IF-AT yang diperoleh melalui nilai rata-rata hasil tes IF-AT secara ongoing assessment dan data hasil belajar siswa. Kemudian untuk menguji pengaruh dilakukan uji linieritas, korelasi dan regresi linier sederhana antara data hasil IF-AT dan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh linier yang positif dan signifikan antara ongoing assessment teknik IF-AT terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar siswa, model team based learning, ongoing assessment,teknik if-at

Abstract

This research is development research of visual aid instrument based Science in box. The objective of this research is 1.) producing physic visual aid instrument on simple plane material; 2.) providing various interest learning sources for students. The method of this research was adapted from media development model which adopted from Suyanto and Sartinem (2009). This research design coveraged seven steps of development procedure of product and product test. The result of external showed that the quality of visual aid instrument which developed is very interesting, very easy to use, and very beneficial and efective to use as learning media, it reached 94,79 % students who complete KKM. So, in conclusion, it was produced, learning media such visual aid instrument simple plane which have been tested and could be used with these quality: interesting, easy to use, beneficial, and admited effective to use as learning media.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan alat peraga yang berbasis science in box. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1.) menghasilkan alat peraga fisika pada materi pesawat sederhana; 2.) menyediakan variasi sumber belajar yang menarik bagi siswa. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengadaptasi model pengembangan media yang diadaptasi dari Suyanto dan Sartinem (2009). Desain tersebut meliputi tujuh tahapan prosedur pengembangan produk dan uji produk. Hasil uji eksternal menunjukkan bahwa kualitas alat peraga yang dikembangkan sangat menarik, sangat mudah digunakan, dan sangat bermanfaat. Alat peraga ini efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yaitu mencapai 94,79 % siswa tuntas KKM. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dihasilkan media pembelajaran berupa alat peraga pesawat sederhana yang telah teruji dan layak digunakan dengan kualitas: menarik, mudah digunakan, bermanfaat, dan dinyatakan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.Kata kunci: alat peraga IPA, media pembelajaran, pesawat sederhana.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine: (1) the linear positively and significantly influence of learning motivation toward understanding concept by using Learning Cycle 5E (LC 5E); (2) the linear positively and significantly influence of skill process science toward understanding concept by using LC 5E; (3) the linear positively and significantly influence of study motivation and skill process science toward understanding concept by using LC 5E. The population is all of students in class X SMAN 1 Natar. The sample are students of class X2 amount 36 students. The sample class is selected by cluster random sampling. Design of this research is one-shot case study. The results are: (1) there are a linear positively and significantly influence of learning motivation toward understanding concept by using LC 5E and it contributed 35,1%; (2) there are linear positively and significantly influence of skill process science toward understanding concept by using LC 5E and it contributed 53,5%; (3) there are linear positively and significantly influence of study motivation and skill process science toward understanding concept linear positively and significantly by using LC 5E and it contributed 58,8%. Abstract

This research aimed to recognize influence of English skill on result of physics’ study using Inquiry. The data of English skill was taken by using TOEFL Junior test and the data of result of physics study was taken by a test on Heat. The data analysis used simple linear regression. The data analysis revealed that the correlation coefficient was 0.747 categorized as high correlation and the contribution of English skill to result of physics study using Inquiry was 55.8 %. It showed positive and significant influence of English skill on result of physics study. It was caused by the language as a media of scientific communication.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh kemampuan bahasa Inggris terhadap hasil belajar fisika menggunakan model Inkuiri. Data kemampuan bahasa Inggris siswa diambil menggunakan soal TOEFL Junior, dan data hasil belajar fisika diambil dengan tes pada materi Kalor. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,747 berkategori korelasi tinggi dan kontribusi bahasa Inggris terhadap hasil belajar fisika sebesar 55,8 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan kemampuan bahasa Inggris terhadap hasil belajar fisika. Hal tersebut dikarenakan bahasa merupakan sarana komunikasi ilmiah.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, kemampuan bahasa Inggris, model Inkuiri.

Abstract

This research aims to generate critical thinking skills based on assessment on matery of dynamic electricity in essay test form . The method is Research and Development, which consists of six stages of development, they are the analysis of developed products, the early of product development, the expert validation, the revision, the limited test, the product revision, and the product refinement. The source of data is physics teacher and the students of 8th grade of SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung.The assessment instrument which is developed is the assessment based on critical thinking on matery of dynamic electricity and was tested on limited scale. The result of the limited test is the assessment based on critical thinking skill this has very high attractiveness level and legibility. Based on the results of the expert validation and the teacher scoring, critical thinking skill based on assessment of the dynamic electricity material is worthily used.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan asesmen berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi listrik dinamis berupa soal tes essay. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan yang terdiri dari enam tahap pengembangan yaitu: analisis kebutuhan produk, pengembangan produk awal, validasi ahli, revisi, uji coba terbatas, revisi produk dan penyempurnaan produk. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru mata pelajaran fisika kelas X dan siswa-siswi kelas X8 SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung. Instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan adalah asesmen berbasis keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi listrik dinamis dan diujicobakan pada skala terbatas. Hasil uji coba terbatas asesmen berbasis KBK pada materi listrik dinamis ini memiliki tingkat kemenarikan dan tingkat keterbacaan yang tinggi. Abstract

Learning process need an implementation of some learning inovation to help student reach their education’s goal. This research compared the critical thinking skills and the learning outcome of physics among the learning model of empirical inductive learning cycle with modified free discovery–inquiry. The purpose of this research to determine, (1) an average differences of critical thinking ability between the learning model of empirical-inductive learning cycle and modified free discovery-inquiry; (2) an average differences of learning outcome of physics between the learning model of empirical-inductive learning cycle and modified free discovery-inquiry. This research was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013 at the SMP N 3 Bandarlampung. The population in this research were all students of class VIII. The sample is consisted of two classes which is taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The samples are VIIIC and VIIID. The analysis technique of Learning outcomes data was using N-gain scores, while critical thinking skills data was analyzed using percentage grades. Based on the results of the test, the average score of student’s critical thinking skills in the empirical inductive learning cycle class by 66.26% and the class of modified free-inquiry discovery by 75.35%. For learning outcomes, empirical inductive learning cycle class earned an average N-gain learning outcomes of 0.67 and the class of modified free-inquiry discovery earned 0.76. Thus, these results indicate that the average of critical thinking skills and learning outcome in the modified class free discovery-inquiry is higher than the class of empirical inductive learning cycle.Keywords : Critical Thinking Skills, Learning Outcome, Empirical InductiveLearning Cycle, and Modified Free Discovery Inquiry.

Abstract

The students conceptual understanding of physic is still difficult to reach. Most of the students didnt like physic because too difficult to understand physic concept if the student didnt pay their attention in science learning well. This research aims to determine whether there was any effect of the application of science process skills to students conceptual understanding and improve of student conceptual understanding in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. Data from the research is gotten by sample class that is given some actions in the learning process with science process skills method. Based on analysis of the data, there was a positive and significant effect between science process skills on students conceptual understanding in cognitive domain and there was a significant increase in the science learning outcome after experiencing cognitive approach to learning science process skills method .Penguasaan konsep fisika siswa masih sulit untuk dicapai. Sebagian siswa bahkan tidak menyukai fisika karena sulit memahami konsep fisika kalau tidak memperhatikan pembelajaran dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penerapan keterampilan proses sains terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa dan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. Data diperoleh dari hasil penelitian pada kelas sampel yang diberikan perlakuan pada proses pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada ranah kognitif dan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar sains ranah kognitif setelah mengalami pembelajaran dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses sains.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, kognitif, penguasaan konsep, peningkatan.
