Abstract

This research is intended to describe the learning design using interactive multimedia with the content in accordance with the 2013 curriculum which emphasizes character education and encourages students to utilize higher-order thinking skills. This interactive learning multimedia is based on problems. The research method used is a development research with an instructional design model, ADDIE. The instrument used in this study is problem solving and questionnaire tests. The results showed that problem-based interactive multimedia designed to be able to utilize high-level thinking skills, as seen from the evaluation results of students with 86.2% completeness. The response process of students and teachers after the implementation of learning with interactive multimedia based on problems showed a very good response.

Abstract

This research aims to apply Active Learning with Flashcard assisted and to improve learning outcomes in vector material for students of X MIPA 3 Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta Senior High School. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this research were students of class X MIPA 3 as many as 32 students. The subject of this class action research because based on observations made by the teacher during the learning process, students were still very less active. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that there was an increase seen from the percentage of learning completeness. Learning completeness experienced a significant increase. In the initial condition, the percentage was 28.13% then increased at the end of Cycle I to 40.63% meaning that flashcard-assisted active learning can improve student learning outcomes but still not reach the target of 80% so that it continues in Cycle II. At the end of Cycle II, there was another more significant increase to 100%, meaning that flashcard-assisted active learning is very suitable to be applied to improve learning outcomes. Thus it can be concluded that the use of Active learning models with Flashcard assisted can improve the activity and learning outcomes. This learning model can be used as an alternative for mathematics teachers in doing classroom learning creativity.

Abstract

This research is a research development that aims to know the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning media using Adobe Flash Professional based on literacy to improve student creativity and establish SMK Cendekia Madiun XI Banking as the subject of research with reference to 4D development model until the third stage, that is define , design, and develop. Instruments used in this research include validation sheet for instructional media, questionnaire response to measure the practicality of media, test result of learning result and questionnaire of student creativity to measure media effectiveness. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Learning media developed meet the criteria of validity and the average results obtained from the media validation questionnaire reached 85.42%. 2) Learning media developed meet the criteria of practicality with the average results obtained from the questionnaire of student responses on field trials reached 81.25%. 3) Learning media developed meet the criteria of effectiveness with the average results obtained from the average test results and the average score of student creativity questionnaires on field trials reached 82.95%. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the learning media using Adobe Flash Professional based literacy to improve student creativity developed by researchers worthy of use in learning.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika sangat penting untuk kehidupan sehari-hari kita karena kita tahu bahwa proses pemecahan masalah matematika adalah proses berpikir yang mengarah pada hasil yang baru dan bermanfaat. Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan matematika adalah kecemasan matematika. Solusi suatu masalah tergantung pada bagaimana masalah terjadi, sehingga diperlukan penelitian yang lebih mendalam mengenai kaitan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kecemasan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemetaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMP di Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan subjek terdiri dari 376 siswa kelas VIII SMP yang berasal dari 15 sekolah yang ditentukan dengan stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan angket kecemasan matematika. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis profil. Hasil pemetaan menunjukkan bahwa masih ada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan kecemasan matematika rata-rata sekolah di Kota Banjarbaru yang tidak sesuai dengan status akreditasi dan teori yang sudah ada sebelumnya.

Abstract

This research objective to develops and produce learning method in Triangle and Rectangle material. The research method using Research and Development (R & D) Design with ADDIE model which involves steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In its implementation, HARUM PALA (Memorize Formulas Using Songs) method was first validated by 1 learning strategy expert, 3 material experts, and 3 practitioners/teachers, which was later revised and implemented in SMP Negeri 4 Balikpapan, SMP Negeri 7 Balikpapan, and SMP Patra Dharma 2 Balikpapan. The methods used in data collection are interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. In this research, the feasibility of the learning strategy expert was obtained with a percentage of 85.45% (feasible), material experts with an average percentage of 85% (feasible), and practitioners / teachers at an average percentage of 84% (feasible). Based on the achievement of student learning, the average student in the Small Scale Trial of 69.78 and on the Large Scale Test of 75.34. So, as a whole, the product of the learning method HARUM PALA (Hafalan Rumus Pakai Lagu) can be said to be feasible to be used as a method of junior high school mathematics learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation. A describtive qualitative research is used in this paper along with case study approach. The examined case is students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation in solving word problem. The subjects are Junior High School students at grade VIII. Data collection were done by think aloud technique and interview. The result show that students’ thinking process in creating schematic representation is retrieved from processing theory started by taking the problem into account. Students read the problem based on its intonation with stress in each sentence. Then, students create a scheme and link all information they understand about. This scheme later is drawn into triangle form. By creating the scheme, students are able to comprehend the questions and problems proper. Students connect problems faced by theirself with the concept of Phytagoras stored in long-term memory. The students' understanding of the Phytagoras Theorem concept is well preserved so that students can solve the problem appropriately.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the NHT Integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling students' initial abilities. The method used is an experiment with anacova quantitative approach. The population is all students of class VII MTS. The sampling technique used by simple random sampling with 3 classes of samples. In the experimental class using the NHT integrated learning model and the control class using conventional NHT learning models. Data were collected using written test techniques, data analysis techniques in hypothesis testing using ancova with 3 x 1 factorial and continued with further testing. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that (1) There is an influence of the NHT integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling the early ability of mathematics. Given the value of Fcount = 8.96> Ftable 3.15 and significance of SPSS 0.000 compared to the value of α (0.05) then 0.000 <0.05 and the hypothesis is accepted. (2) There is a different effect of NHT integrated learning model on the ability to think creatively by controlling the initial ability of mathematics. With the value of Fcount = 49.192> Ftable 3.15 and the significance of SPSS 0.000 when compared with the value of α (0.05) then 0.000 <0.05 and the hypothesis is accepted. This difference is seen in the significance level of SPSS 0.001 <0.05, which means that the learning model in the experimental class is better than the control class learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of mathematical anxiety effects (X1), mathematical stress problems (X2) and self-regulated learning (X3) to the mathematics learning outcomes materials algebra operation (Y) in the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tugu Trenggalek. This research uses a quantitative approach with causal causative research. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, simultaneously on multiple linear regression, there is influence between mathematical anxiety (X1), mathematical stress problem (X2) and self-regulated learning (X3) to the mathematics learning outcomes equal to 44,6% with regression equation Y = 100,365 + (- 0,619) X1 + (- 0.572) X2 + 0.449X3. Mathematical anxiety and mathematical stress problem negatively affects the mathematics learning outcomes, beside that self-regulated learning have a positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to gain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of developing instructional sets of mathematics through PjBL learning with realistic saintific approach and PISA-based measurements and to describe students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of KAM aspects and PISA measurement process. The development research using modified Plomp model. The tools developed include RPP, LAS, and TKLMBP. Data processed by -test, the proportion of -test, and gain test. The results showed: (1) The instructional sets PjBL model with realistic scientific approaches and PISA-based measurements to develop students' mathematical literacy skills is validity, practicality, and effectiveness; (2) The ability of students' mathematical literacy to based on the KAM aspects obtained in the three KAM groups is statistically significantly increased; and (3) students' mathematical literacy skills to based on aspects of PISA measurement, most students can solve problems that are in accordance with aspects of PISA measurement.

Abstract

The aims of this research to gain the result of effect TANDUR model to mathematical concept understanding and student’s mathematical reasoning. This research was quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group design. The population in this research was students of seventh grade SMP N 2 Natar academic year 2017/2018. The sampling technique used random sampling technique and divided onto two groups, experiment group and control group. The results of this research were: 1) there was influence of TANDUR learning model to mathematical concept understanding. 2) there were influence of TANDUR learning model to mathematical reasoning. 3) TANDUR model learning can affect simultaneously of mathematical concept understanding and mathematical reasoning.
