Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an android application-based parenting mentoring learning model that is suitable for use for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri in Kisaran city. The method used in this research is a research and development model. The population in this study were all grade VII (seven) public junior high schools in Kisaran in the 2019/2020 school year. The steps (syntax) of this learning model are the SAPTA learning model, as follows: (1) Schedule (learning design phase); (2) Acceptance (feedback phase); (3) Performance (assignment phase); (4) Transmit (information delivery phase); (5) Assistance (parental assistance phase). This research produces a learning model based on parental assistance assisted by an android application and its supporting devices that are feasible to support learning activities, especially online learning. The resulting learning devices are an android application to assist parents in learning, model books, teacher manuals, and parent manuals. Through this research, it has also been proven that the product developed has a positive impact. Namely, it can significantly increase the achievement of students' independent learning outcomes. It can be concluded that the learning model based on parental assistance assisted by an android application that was developed was considered feasible, effective, and practical to use for class VII SMP Negeri in Kisaran city.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is the ability of students to carry out activities formulate, apply, and interpret & evaluate mathematics in various contexts. This study aims to analyze the needs of student worksheet development which can stimulate students' mathematical literacy. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study involving 15 students of class XI MIPA and 2 mathematics teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Gresik. This needs analysis includes material analysis, curriculum analysis, and student analysis. The results showed that one of the difficult mathematics materials for class XI MIPA was linear program, mathematics learning was carried out according to the 2013 Curriculum with the application of Blended Learning in the new normal era, and students still had difficulty solving problems on indicators of interpreting & evaluating mathematical process abilities. Therefore, Student Worksheet based Blended Learning will be developed which is more focused on activities that prioritize the interpretation and analysis of problem solving results according to the limitations and context of the problem in the Linear Program material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh instrumen angket self-regulation mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika pada saat belajar daring di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 yang valid dan reliabel. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan design research dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini merupakan data kualitatif berupa komentar atau saran perbaikan dari validator terhadap angket self-regulation yang dikembangkan, dan data kuantitatif berupa skor lembar validasi dari validator dan skor yang diperoleh mahasiswa pada saat uji coba instrumen angket self-regulation untuk dihitung validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil berupa angket self-regulation mahasiswa pendidikan matematika di masa pandemi Covid-19. Angket yang dihasilkan terdiri dari 15 butir pernyataan yang diturunkan dari 11 indikator, yaitu indikator menetukan tingkat minimal pencapaian, menetapkan tujuan, pemilihan tempat, pemilihan kondisi, persiapan sebelum mengikuti perkuliahan, cara belajar selama mengikuti perkuliahan, cara belajar untuk memperkuat pemahaman, cara menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan, alokasi waktu, usaha menemukan cara yang tepat untuk memahami pelajaran yang belum dimengerti, dan refleksi diri.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan LKS matematika SMP yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini penting karena belum pernah ada yang mengembangkan bahan ajar menggunakan kearifan lokal seperti makanan tradisional di Pulau Timor. Makanan Tradisional yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah Jagung Bose, Jagung Katemak, Ut Kono, dan Laku Tobe yang sudah menjadi makanan sehari-hari masyarakat perbatasan Indonesia-Timor Leste di Pulau Timor. Riset ini ialah riset pengembangan dengan menggunkan model penilaian formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari 2 sesi pengembangan, yakni sesi analisis pendahuluan serta sesi penilaian formatif. Subjek riset ini merupakan siswa kelas 9 SMPN Taloeb di kawasan perbatasan tahun 2020. Metode pengumpulan informasi yang digunakan meliputi uji hasil belajar, observasi, serta wawancara. Pengembangan lembar kerja siswa memakai konteks kearifan lokal masakan tradisional Timor sudah divalidasi oleh para ahli dengan hasil evaluasi dari pakar materi, pakar media serta pakar bahasa. Validasi oleh para pakar, LKS matematika ini termasuk dalam kategori valid dengan skor rerata 3.97 dan hasil ujicoba telah menunjukkan bahwa LKS tersebut memenuhi kriteria praktis dan memiliki efek potensial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP hal ini dapat dilihat dari 76.47% siswa telah mencapai kriteria minimal mata pelajaran matematika tingkat SMP.  LKS yang dikembangkan juga efektif karena hasil tes belajar tersebut meningkat dari 41.27%  pada pretest menjadi 76.47% pada posttest. Kata kunci: Efek Potensial;LKS; Makanan Tradisional AbstractThe purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical and effective junior high school mathematics worksheets. This research is important because no one has ever developed teaching materials using local wisdom such as traditional food on the Pulau Timor. The traditional foods referred to in this study are Jagung Bose, jagung Katemak, Ut Kono, and Laku Tobe which have become daily food of the Indonesian-Timor Leste border community on Pulau Timor. This research is development research using the Tessmer formative evaluation model are consists of two stages of development, namely the introduction analysis stage and the formative evaluation stage. Data collection techniques used include study results tests Learning outcomes, observations, and interviews. The subject of this study is the 9th graders of Taloeb Junior High School in the border area in 2020. Data collection techniques used include study results tests, observations, and interviews. The development of student worksheets using the context of local wisdom of traditional Timorese food has been validated by experts with assessment results from material experts, media experts and language experts. validation by experts, This math student worksheet belongs to a valid category with an average score of 3.97 and the test results have shown that the student worksheet meets practical criteria and  effective criteria. of improving the math learning results of junior high school students. it can be seen from 76.47% of students who have achieved the minimum criteria for junior high school mathematics. Abstract

Setiap problem-solver memiliki tipe yang berbeda. Adapun tipe berpikir digolongkan menjadi tipe berpikir konseptual, semi-konseptual, dan komputasional. Namun demikian belum ada penelitian terkait tipe berpikir dalam memecahkan masalah geometri analitik. Penelitian bertujuan memaparkan tipe karakteristik berpikir problem-solvers dalam memecahkan masalah geometri analitik. Penelitian merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan partisipan yaitu mahasiswa calon guru di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Instrumen penelitian yang dipekerjakan yaitu masalah/tes geometri analitik, lembar observasi, dan pedoman wawancara. Instrumen divalidasi oleh beberapa ahli. Data diperoleh menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Keabsahan data yang dipekerjakan yaitu triangulasi metode. Data dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun penelitian menyimpulkan tipe berpikir konseptual, semikonseptual, dan komputasional. Ketiga tipe berpikir memiliki penciri utama dalam memecahkan masalah geometri analitik. Each problem-solver has different characteristics. The characteristics of thinking are classified into conceptual, semi-conceptual, and computational thinking characteristics. However, the thinking characteristics in solving analytical geometry is not known yet. The research aims to explain how the characteristics of thinking problem-solvers in solving the problem of analytical geometry. Research is descriptive qualitative research with participants, namely prospective teachers in the Mathematics Education Program FKIP University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The research instruments employed are analytical geometry problems/tests, observation sheets, and interview guidelines. Some experts validate the instrument. The data was obtained using a test, observation, and in-depth interview methods. The validity of the data employed is the triangulation method. The data is analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The study concluded the characteristics of conceptual, semi conceptual, and computational thinking. The each thinking characteristics have their own main feature.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems based on mathematical logic intelligence. The population of this research is the fourth-semester students of Mathematics Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun, totaling 52. While the subjects of this research are 3 students based on mathematical logic intelligence. The subject is taken by one student each from high, medium, and low mathematical logic intelligence. This research is descriptive qualitative research using the triangulation technique. Data collection techniques used are tests, interviews, and documentation. Instruments in the form of advanced mathematical material tests and tests of mathematical logic intelligence. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The conclusion in this study is that subjects who have high mathematical logic intelligence have no difficulty in working on problems, subjects of mathematical logic intelligence are having difficulty at the stage of re-examining their answers, and subjects of low mathematical logic intelligence have difficulty in solving problems properly and have not been able to re-examine the answers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berdasarkan kecerdasan logika matematika. Populasi penelitian ini mahasiswa semester IV Pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Madiun yang berjumlah 52. Sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 mahasiswa berdasarkan kecerdasan logika matematika. Subjek tersebut diambil masing-masing satu mahasiswa dari kecerdasan logika matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen berupa tes materi matematika lanjut dan tes kecerdasan logika matematika. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah subjek yang memiliki kecerdasan logika matematika tinggi tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal, subjek kecerdasan logika matematika sedang kesulitan pada tahap memeriksa kembali jawabannya dan subjek kecerdasan logika matematika rendah kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan baik dan belum mampu memeriksa kembali jawabannya.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine students' mathematical reasoning ability using Mathematical Habits of Mind-Problem based Strategy (MHM-PB) strategy aided interactive multimedia and to analyze students' difficulties in solving mathematical reasoning ability tests.  This research was carried out using the quasi-experimental method with pre-test and post-test control group design. Data were obtained from 66 grade VII students at Indramayu Regency, Indonesia using an essay test with five problems on mathematical reasoning ability. Mathematical Habits of Mind-Problem Based Strategy aided Interactive Multimedia is used in experimental class and the other class received conventional strategy. The result showed that students’ mathematical reasoning using MHM-PB strategy aided interactive multimedia was better than the conventional strategy. There is no difference in mathematical reasoning abilities based on gender in students who use MHM-PB. Furthermore, some students still have difficulty making a conclusion, providing reasons or evidence for the answers they give, and checking the truth of a statement. Meanwhile, making generalizations is a difficulty that many students experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) membandingkan pengaruh model problem solving dan problem posing terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (KPMM) siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan pengaruh self confidence terhadap KPMM siswa, dan (3) menguji interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan self confidence terhadap KPMM siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan post-test-only-non-equivalent control design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes KPMM dan angket untuk mengukur self confidence. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian, menggunakan teknik analisis variansi dua jalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) model pembelajaran tidak berpengaruh terhadap KPMM siswa. Kedua model memberikan pengaruh yang hampir sama terhadap KPMM siswa, (2)  self confidence berpengaruh terhadap KPMM siswa. Siswa yang memiliki rasa percaya diri yang tinggi memiliki KPMM yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki kepercayaan diri sedang dan rendah, dan (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran (problem posing dan problem solving) dan self confidence (tinggi, sedang, dan rendah) terhadap KPMM siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pada kedua model, KPMM siswa dengan self confidence tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa dengan self confidence sedang dan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa model problem solving dan problem posing dapat digunakan guru di kelas guna menunjang KPMM siswa. Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah perlu diseting agar dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa, karena self confidence berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap KPMM siswa.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk: a) menguji validitas media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator  menurut para ahli materi dan media; b) menguji tingkat kepraktisan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator menurut mahasiswa pengguna; dan c) menguji tingkat efektivitas media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penguasaaan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa pengguna. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester dua yang mengambil matakuliah matematika ekonomi di salah satu perguruan tinggi di Banten. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dan tes. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan atau yang dikenal dengan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri dari 5 (lima) tahapan yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Hasil uji kevalidan dari para ahli materi dan media diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator termasuk pada kriteria kelayakan sangat valid dan dapat digunakan tanpa revisi. Uji kepraktisan oleh mahasiswa pengguna media pembelajaran diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator termasuk dalam kriteria sangat praktis. Adapun uji efektivas produk yang dikembangkan diperoleh bahwa media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android berbantuan Smart Apps Creator efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Kata kunci: berbasis android, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, media pembelajaran, Smart Apps Creator Abstract This study aims to: a) test the validity of the Android-based mathematics learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator according to material and media experts; b) testing the practicality of the Android-based math learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator according to student users; c) testing the effectiveness of the Android-based mathematics learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator towards increasing the students' mathematical problem-solving ability. The research subjects were second-semester students who took economics mathematics courses at one of the universities in Banten. The instruments used are questionnaires and tests. This study uses a type of research and development known as Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model consisting of 5 (five) stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validity test results from material and media experts showed that the Android-based mathematics learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator included very valid criteria and could be used without revision. The practicality test by students using learning media obtained that the Android-based mathematics learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator was included in the very practical criteria. As for the product effect test, it was obtained that the Android-based mathematics learning media assisted by Smart Apps Creator was effective in improving students' problem-solving skills. Keywords: Android based, learning media, mathematical problem-solving ability, Smart Apps Creator.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving abilities of students after taught intelligent guessing and testing strategy. This study is descriptive research. This study was conducted on students of X MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang. For further discussion, there were two subjects from student who was in very good category and sufficient category were chosen using purposive sampling technique. The data collected through test, then analyzed according to the four stages of Polya. The result of this study show that  student in very good category was able to do four stages of Polya correctly and able to apply the intelligent guessing and testing strategy to solve the problem. Meanwhile, student in sufficient category only able to understanding the problem correctly and still there was something wrong in applying the intelligent guessing and testing strategy.
