Abstract

The lack of digital-based teaching materials and local potential on macroscopic fungi material that is considered difficult to understand by students can be developed into e-booklet teaching materials. This study aims to describe the suitability, feasibility, readability and effectiveness of e-booklets on types of fungi on the banks of the Mawangi village river. This study uses the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) and is limited to the limited disseminate stage. The suitability and feasibility test was carried out by 3 experts, the readability test by 9 students, and the effectiveness test by 17 students. The results of the suitability test obtained an average score of 4.22 (very suitable), the feasibility test obtained an average score of 4.33 (very feasible), the readability test of students obtained an average of 4.71 (very good) and the results of the effectiveness test of students obtained an average score of 0.61 (moderate). Based on these results, it shows that this e-booklet is suitable for use as additional teaching materials on the material on the biodiversity of the mushroom sub-concept.Kata kunci: 4D, desa Mawangi, e-booklet, jamur makroskopis

Abstract

The development of electronic student worksheets is one of the electronic-based teaching materials. This study was conducted with the aim of determining the validity and student responses to electronic student worksheets based on the socio-scientific issue approach in the mangrove context. This type of research is R&D with the ADDIE development model. The main focus of this study is on the implementation stage, which aims to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the learning media that has been developed. The subjects in this study were class VII-C students of SMPN 4 Kamal. The data analysis techniques were validity analysis and student response analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) The average validity of media experts is 93.75% with very valid criteria, while the average validity of material experts is 93.75% with very valid criteria (2) The average student response results to electronic student worksheets teaching materials based on the socio-scientific issue approach in the mangrove context are 91.82% with very good criteria. This shows that electronic student worksheets teaching materials based on the socio-scientific issue approach in the mangrove context are suitable for use in learning.Kata kunci: E – LKPD, mangrove, Socio-scientific issue

Abstract

Collaboration is a crucial learning skill that enables students to solve problems collectively and gain practical experience relevant to everyday life. Based on observations, researchers found that many students prefer to work independently and have an average of 58% in the low category. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct classroom action research (CAR) based on lesson study. This study aims to improve students' collaboration skills through the implementation of the ASICC learning model based on lesson study. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Data on students' collaboration skills were summarized as percentages in each cycle and meeting, and then compared to assess the increase in collaboration from the pre-cycle to cycle 1 and cycle 2. The study's results revealed an increase from 74.8% in cycle 1 to 85.1% in cycle 2. Thus, the implementation of the ASICC learning model is effective in improving student collaboration scores at SMAN 2 Kediri. Kata kunci: pembelajaran, ASICC, kolaborasi

Abstract

The development of different teaching materials E-Handout on the Concept of Human Digestive System is one of the efforts to overcome the lack of understanding of Phase F students of MAN 2 Banjarmasin City. This study aims to develop E-Handout teaching materials and describe the suitability, feasibility, and readability of learners on the results of E-handout teaching materials development of human digestive system concepts. The development model used is 4D Thiagarajan (1974) which consists of stages 1) Define to define initial and final needs, 2) Design to select media and format, 3) Develop to assess research with suitability, feasibility, and readability assessment instruments, 4) Disseminate. This research was carried out to the stage of developing validation tests and validation tests. The research subjects were 3 validators consisting of 2 lecturers of Biology Education FKIP ULM and 1 partner teacher of MAN 2 Banjarmasin City, as well as 12 students of class XI (Phase F) specialization 1 biology MAN 2 Banjarmasin City. The results showed that 1) the results of the suitability test obtained a score of 4.20 (appropriate) with learning objectives, language, format, and media, 2) the results of the feasibility test obtained a score of 4.40 (very feasible) which means that technically E-Handout is very feasible to use as teaching material, 3) the results of the readability test obtained a score of 4.37 which means (very good) to be understood by students.Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Bahan ajar, E-Handout, Sistem pencernaan manusia.

Abstract

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is a highly contagious transboundary animal disease that significantly impacts the livestock sector. Batu City, one of the main cattle farming centers in East Java, has been affected by the FMD outbreak since 2022, yet local data on its prevalence and associated risk factors remain limited. This study aims to determine the prevalence of FMD in cattle in Batu City, identify key transmission risk factors, and evaluate the roles of both the government and farmers in controlling the outbreak. A descriptive quantitative method was employed using a cross-sectional approach, field interviews, and literature review. The data showed a total cattle population of 15,413, with 139 sick, 106 dead, 3,805 recovered, and 20 culled. The prevalence of FMD based on affected populations was 3.21%, and 0.90% based on the total cattle population. Major risk factors included communal housing systems, high animal mobility, inadequate biosecurity practices, uneven vaccination coverage, and low farmer awareness. The Batu City Government responded through mass vaccination, farmer education, livestock traffic control, and financial compensation for affected farmers. These findings highlight the importance of locally tailored disease control strategies to prevent further spread of FMD. The results are expected to support the development of effective and evidence-based policy interventions at the regional level.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the efficacy of gamification-based learning (Based Learning/GBL) in improving student engagement and academic achievements in high school biology courses within the 21st-century context through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology. Following the PRISMA guidelines, literature exploration was performed utilizing the Publish or Perish platform with targeted keywords, yielding 18 selected publications that satisfied the inclusion standards. The evaluation demonstrated that GBL creates positive impacts on student motivation, active involvement, and academic performance across various biology topics including ecosystems, biological scope, plantae, and others. Multiple gamification tools, such as Kahoot, Quizizz, Wordwall, and additional educational gaming platforms, have demonstrated effectiveness in establishing captivating, interactive educational settings that facilitate enhanced conceptual comprehension. The results indicate that GBL not only strengthens cognitive abilities but also develops students' affective and psychomotor dimensions. Consequently, GBL demonstrates considerable promise as an innovative approach for biology education that corresponds to 21st-century skill requirementsstudy aims to examine the effectiveness of gamification-based learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and reconstruct the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) of osmosis practicum using the Vee Diagram approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with ANCOR (Analyze, Try, and Reconstruct) approach. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the LKPD on Omosis practicum based on instruments from Novak and Gowin based on Vee Diagram. The results of the analysis showed that the initial LKPD scored 40.74% and was classified as very poor, especially in the aspects of focus questions, objects, theories and concepts, tools and materials, activity steps, and knowledge statements. Based on these results, LKPD reconstruction was carried out to improve existing deficiencies to make it more relevant to the learning objectives of practicum-based biology. The reconstruction includes rearranging the focus question, adding the theory and principles of osmosis, and adjusting the lab work steps to support contextual learning and strengthening students' science process skills. Kata kunci: diagram vee, LKPD, osmosis, praktikum biologi, rekonstruksi
